I don't know if some people prefer play/fake money to avoid losing real money. For me, using fake/play money on gambling apps is not boring but there are times that I spend some real money to buy fake/play money though only a small amount of real money. So for me, it is not the best alternative to avoid not losing money but it does help to avoid losing how much you lose in a gambling site with real money.

Indeed, exact gamblers will do gambling activities to earn money, and they will not be interested in fake money as only entertainment. The fake money may be suitable for beginners that are learning exchange about gambling but have no money for gambling. And I also do think that even they are not professional gamblers, they will not prefer using fake money because they really want to use the rewards to cash out money and do gambling again, moreover to addicted gamblers, they will not pay attention on it.

No because Fake money gambling apps is just there to entice players to gamble real money.
Gamblers need a rehab and commitment if they want to stop. Not another way that they can strategize or create methods they will later on try with real bets.

Do you honestly believe that a gambler who has consistently failed needs rehab? Contrary to what I believe, some people are just frustrated, and some gamblers' main issue is lack of focus. Some people simply need to switch up their approach to see if it works again. You never know when the flip of the coin will be on your side.
Fake gambling apps typically exist only to serve as a means of advertising. They will annoy you with irrelevant info and might prevent you from learning what you should have learned in the first place. Using these apps also puts your privacy at risk.

of course that should be done. as you say, (if someone wants to decide to leave gambling they have to leave it for good) but it's not as easy as you say, the problem is that gamblers always find other ways to get back to their addiction. there are many gamblers who need help that is why to get rid of addictive gambling activities, someone needs support from the people around him, and really needs special treatment, such as therapy and the like, that can help in the healing process. maybe counterfeit money gambling can help a bit for his diversion to gambling addiction. The main factor that plays the most is a strong determination from within.

It might not work for everyone especially to those professional gamblers who are playing to earn. This kind of app that doesnt involve money at all is only ideal for players who wants to refrain themselves to gamble but still want to have fun. It cant be as exciting as what people assume it can be (unlike if you're playing using real money) but it can somehow help the gamblers who are having a hard time to control themselves.

story based on my experience and may be able to provide an example for gamblers who want to stop gambling.

i once was devastated to lose everything that was valuable just because of gambling and i decided to leave gambling by getting married and staying away from everything related to gambling. with passion i always stay away from anything that touches on betting even if it's about games. because playing games or gambling using fake money later will still give you the desire to play gambling using real money and lose money again.
so if you want to leave gambling, you must really have the intention of the gambler's heart to stay away from all gambling even if you only use fake money and move to a city farthest from the gambling environment.

True. This may be the reason why recovery in facilities take months to complete. Maybe to extinguish and heal the mind. So when they finish rehab programs, they wont be back doing same stuff again.

And this of course will only be possible if the player really wants to change. Avoid temptations etc.,

The time addicted gamblers or reformed gamblers spend on play-with-not-real-money gambling websites is something I did not factor in before therefore it is appreciated you bring it to the equation. Even if real money was not being wagered it is clear the time spent would have an effect on an addict or reformed gambler.

Maybe in the near future there will be a scientific study that provides data that can be analysed to see how beneficial or damaging these sorts of apps and websites are to addicted gamblers or reformed gamblers.

What happens is that in theory it seems simple enough, if someone is gambling with real money and losing too much of it then gambling with play money may seem to resolve those issues, but we know  things are never that simple, even if a person never gambled with real money again we need to also consider the issue of the time spent gambling, when gambling with real money since our capital is limited this puts a limitation to the amount of time we can gamble as well, but play money is infinite so a person could gamble every single day and not lose any money, and that person will still be addicted to gambling as his behavior is self-destructive, since gambling all day for months with play money will have negative effects on their health and personal relationships.

I am not an addicted gambler or better have been in the past but luckily have learned that self control and I quit whenever I like no matter the case winning or losing.However from personal experience what is happening with a colleague of mine,he is using a website to play all the demos of all the slots available and by doing so it has been a couple of weeks he has not played with real money.I am not saying that alternative or playing with demo money will make him forget about gambling with real money but it can help especially when paired with other things that we all know like the professional help and talking to friend and families.

Agree, If gambler knows that he will not get anything from this bet definitely the gambler will not play the game or bet. I realize that they just play or gamble due to making money. If it is absent or unlikely to be available then no gambler would be encourage to use it.

I think the same, if someone is addicted to gambling and they want to stop definitely then they need to stop gambling for good whether they are using money or not while they gamble, and it is very easy to see why such measures need to be taken, something like that could work for a person that is not addicted to gambling as they have control over their emotions and their actions, but for someone that is addicted this is not true and as such it is very easy for them to go from gambling with play money to gamble with real money, so it is better for them to avoid any form of temptation so they can finally leave their addiction behind.

But that's probably the minority of cases. If people use a free app for example, that app will be designed to lure in people to start using real money after they become used to the game with fake money.

That's the whole reason for those apps to exist, for free. They're basically ads for the casinos.

People that are on the fence will start there, and some of them will eventually switch to real money eventually.

First of all, if an app is not receiving or giving any real money like a real casino then that said app cannot be called as one of gambling app that existed because gambling refers to the use of real money and not fake ones. Also, I really do bet that gamblers are not inclined of using these apps even if the reason is to test a technique that they could use in real gambling where there is real money of course and the same goes for gamblers who are trying to quit the said activity because that will not really benefit them nor help them quit.

If you play with fake money you have to be a strange type of person who prefers to waste time playing a boring game, because dice, roulette and slots are really boring if you take away the risk of losing money and the excitement of winning it. These games aren't made for fun but for betting. Nobody plays dice for fun with friends. To kill time people play board games, poker, things like that.

Those who gamble that are basically for money. There is no way they can accept anything fake instead of money. I don't think they will attract those sites in any way. Some times gamblers are interested in betting even if they have no experience in any field. In that case, there is no way to improve them with anything fake.
