Now that the World Cup shenanigans are over (just kidding, I enjoyed watching the world cup except for Argentina, glad they lost the final ), time for icopress and Trofo to fill up the sponsorship fund again.

There were some strange early price reveals too. I mean Haaland at 15.5m, Bruno at 12m, and Gabriel at 8m. These are insane prices and I think last season's template will not work here anymore.

Now that the World Cup shenanigans are over (just kidding, I enjoyed watching the world cup except for Argentina, glad they lost the final ), time for icopress and Trofo to fill up the sponsorship fund again.

There were some strange early price reveals too. I mean Haaland at 15.5m, Bruno at 12m, and Gabriel at 8m. These are insane prices and I think last season's template will not work here anymore.

I was having a conversation with Trofo yesterday about how crazy the prices are, but going through the prices now, still a sneak peek, I'd say as usually, it was shaped in a way that the prices eventually works down the rest of the squad, you just can't fit in way too many premiums, especially with one out of the top 2, and the price is for having Haaland, Bruno, Gabriel and/or Raya to me finally feel fair, if you look at the options you'd have to pair them with which are still fairly decent imo.

There is the likes of Palmer, Saka 9.5m apiece, then just about 3-4 players with 8.0m or higher then rest are further down, in defense after Gabriel at 8.0, there aren't too many options at 6.0 would be heavily owned, so for the sanity of the game, having Gabriel in defense after last season does deserve to come automatically at an extra price (or having to fit 1 or 2 4.5m options) and the same applies to Bruno, as for Haaland, I'm not sure he'll be well sought after like he was in previous season.

Evidently, they didn't succeed at that, because I managed to fit Bruno, Saka, Gabriel, and Raya all in the same team and also Semenyo and Gibbs White.

I think I actually like this team I made except for the 4.0m 5th DEF pick from Ipswich.

No one has ever survived FPL without Halaand- it's just impossible but a lot could change this season though..

Waiting for some sidebet offers - haven't even checked the prices yet but I do that on the last day anyway.

Only guy I won't go against is Trofo - I won last year so no way I'm letting him take it away from me.
Besides - he's the only guy I discuss Fantasy with so I need to be able to discuss some ideas - which wasn't the case last season.

I just had my first look at the player list and price reveals, that £15.5m price tag on Haaland is just madness. Are we all going to start the season with 14 players and £84.5m left in the bank or is anyone bold enough to go No Haaland?
I'm seriously considering leaving him out, as good as he is I just can't justify spending that much money on one spot, I'm not seeing the overall squad value. I know that with Haaland you are essentially paying for a perma captain safety net but it completely guts the rest of your lineup.
Spreading that extra budget across two or three top tier mid priced premiums gives you so much more overall team depth and flexibility. Going without him is reckless considering how he can destroy your rank in a single matchday, but at the same time it might be the differential needed to gain an early edge over the template. Still weighing up the risks but the temptation to go balanced is there.

Currently looking to do my drafts without him but looking at the other low budget options it’s very difficult because you might leave him out and then he ends better than two of your 8.0m players, in the past it was easy to have midfield players who usually put up great numbers. Now it’s either Halaand or an expensive gamble on any of the other top strikers. Those strikers on 8.0m or less are usually strikers that have slow start to the season.

The selection is a bit difficult when intending to have Gabriel, Bruno and Halaand on a team. Plus the transfer window is still open and many outgoing and incoming are expected

Don't forget, we have double chips again. Meaning early WC plus BB combo is something that could be very valuable. Getting rid of BB chip will be crucial to get proper team balance. no way to keep strong bench for prolonged period of time this season.

You are the bookies' favourite, and considering that you have a better h2h record against me, how about we do something more exciting instead of the standard boring "highest placed team"? We could do the best WC team, best BB, or total captain points before the second chips.  This is more fun, quick and profitable

Don't forget, we have double chips again. Meaning early WC plus BB combo is something that could be very valuable. Getting rid of BB chip will be crucial to get proper team balance. no way to keep strong bench for prolonged period of time this season.

I'm looking forward to using BB in GW 1 or GW 2 and get over it while the bench is still valuable.

There's is no "first to use" or "last to use" advantage in fantasy; chips are 50% skills, 50% luck- at least that's the way I see it.

If you score 51 from starting lineup and 14 from BB chip - we're calculating 65 points for your BB chip and not 14.

I'm not thinking of joining the pool this year because of not thinking that I'm good enough in this pool. Losing all the time is really giving one pain. I wish I was able to play as good as Hhampuz and igebotz.
