As someone who watched the game, I can say the same thing. I was also thinking that Bruno might not play in GW4 after seeing that incident.

And yes, I already transferred Bruno out (for Cole Palmer and Rogers) after that happened. I don't think Hull City will continue their good defense. My xG for that match is 4.

I got lucky, I guess.. just my plans working out a bit better to start the season, and I got to admit this is my best start to any FPL season, I'm not sure I've even managed such rank at any point of the season, top 5K Overall.

Anyways, I've got another really tough decision ahead, my wildcard is probably going to be after the international break, now I'm getting heavily hammered with prize changes, which could be detrimental for whenever I chose to play the WC, and I'm not sure if 2 FTs would suffice for to carry into the next round with just Joao Pedro as my Chelsea asset, and 4 players in the Manchester derby, that should definitely provide more goals thnt Arsenal Chelsea I'd say, but still...

I don't know of any injury or knock, but if this is what I think it is, then he was just fouled (perhaps heavily) during the game around the 80th minute, and he was forced to be on the sideline for a while since the play was stopped because of him, meanwhile he was standing on the sideline and continued the match too, I'm sure if there is anything more to it, we'll find out during their UCL press conference, but I'll say it's probably nothing.

I suppose it was not bad (51 points) considering how most of the other mangers were scoring but it still feels as though another opportunity to close the gap was wasted. Well, with one week over a new week starts and with that another opportunity to accumulate points.

Some managers have used some of their chips and ahead in the table but I am still not tempted to use any right now, I would prefer to see how the players are performing before using them. There is always a danger of falling too far behind when not using any chips therefore I might have to use at least one of them sooner than I would prefer but definitely not this weekend.

It was not the best gameweek for many managers and with 51 points, i don't think you did too badly.

If I were you, I would wait, save my free  transfers until GW 7 and get Halaand against Ipswich game.. he's up against Manchester United, Sunderland and Liverpool next - it's not the best time to get him.

Those of us with Halaand are already sweating in our pants. With Pep, he was the face of the team but now, everyone just want to put on a show..

It's a nice idea. I wasn't happy how I wasted Mbeumo transfer but I learnt that more than 400 managers also made same mistake. Haaland's decision would be made, but I haven't got the feelings that the dude is on fire yet, as last season.

Considering a FH this week, to get rid of as much chips possible early on. Wildcard in GW5 and then doing it oldskul until the reset.
Alternative is to WC now and keep the FH but I guess prices already changed this week.

Probably not the best use of a WC then - and not really sure what to keep the FH for. My team looks terrible for this GW - so why not now?

Let's wait to see what the manager has to say in the press conference at least. Carrick is not bald! Unlike Arteta and Maresca. So we'd know for sure by then whether he will play or not. Until then, I'd reserve early transfers for buying template players like Calafiori, Konsa, Cherki and Joao Pedro (there are people without JP?).

He’s a very technical player I would say, he puts all conscious effort to avoid any tackle or contact that could be deemed too aggressive. Even as his every involved in the Manchester United squad and arguably stands out as one of the players that has the most touch in any Manchester United game. His importance to the squad can’t be over emphasized and to many managers in the FPL too. Too bad my bankroll wouldn’t let me own him at this time but, would in the future, when I use my WC.

I definitely agree with you that the wild card was quite unnecessary in GW3, yes I saw the wild card team with tripling up of Arsenal assets and doubling of Chelsea assets I will say the wild card was definitely for a long term. While every manager would have already had their plans before hand I would say the best thing would have been a free hit to get some of the players that had better fixtures in the GW 3 because looking at CFC River this GW4 would have been the perfect timing for a wild card.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle who the team has captured all have great fixtures coming up with even a proper rotation the free transfers will do just ok. My only problem now is selling of Isak who for me is looking like a go get or probably a lesser cheaper option in Coady Gakpo who is currently averaging goal contribution in every game week.

Good news, Bruno Fernandez completed full training with the rest of the team today with their champions league game coming up tomorrow. We will read more about him in Carrick’s press conference later but I think he is definitely fine

I am looking to get getting an arsenal defensive asset and Calafiori and Konsa are both my choices but for Manchester city I am definitely not sure because of their minutes, Gvardiol who I have as their defensive assets was substituted way too early yesterday probably for a knock

This is my first time playing EPL Fantasy, but I don't think using the Wildcard this early, especially in GW3 was a good idea. Like you said, it's supposed to be longterm move and if you later have injured players or someone gets red card, you'll have fewer options and will have to rely on your free transfers.

I checked your squad today and it actually looks pretty good imo. I think the main problem was just that your players didn't perform well in GW3. Well hopefully, Elanga and Wissa will pay you back in the next few gameweeks especially with their good fixtures.

It would be nice to have some of those more experienced here to give their opinion to my following question. I have spent a lot on the defense and took the whole Arsenal defense, but now I did some research and found some FPL players saying that this is not the smartest strategy to spend a lot on those defenders because defenders don't win you the FPL league. It's usually strikers and outstanding midfielders.

Can this be taken as a rule of thumb? I have been thinking about transitioning into 3-4-3 instead of 3-5-2, but now it is too late to add a player like Haaland. There would only be one way to do it and that is sell my whole defense, get cheap defenders and add Haaland.

Another problem they mentioned is that owning three defenders of the same team is like putting all eggs in one basket. I argued that Arsenal has become a strong clean sheet team, but the point was that conceding a stupid goal at any point in the match costs many points.

In more general terms, would you say that strikers win the FPL on average eventually?

If you read my post above, it was the reason why I was trying to figure out whether using the wildcard can make sense. At first I didn't know it exists in the first place, but then found out about it and thought it could make sense if I chose the wrong strategy from the very beginning.

Did you play any of your chips to make these changes, or did you take multiple hits for it? It's not bad to have a couple of Arsenal defenders, their rearguard is very solid, though personally i wouldn't take hits for that. I currently only have Calafiori in my team and i would only add another Arsenal defender when i play my WC or FH chip.

Saw a News of Saka injury and hours later I saw him in the champions league game. Never trust anything from X.
