I never understood the decision to leave Joao Pedro at home and go to the World Cup with an injured Neymar, only god knows what Ancelotti was thinking with that decision. If i were Pedro, i'd also feign an injury if the next games after the WC snub are friendlies, because imagine going there and getting injured when you're in flying form.

Neymar didn't take Pedro's slot, rather Thiago did. Neymar is not a striker and I wouldn't drop Neymar for anyone in that WC.

Chelsea and Pedro did exactly as I expected, when I saw that call up news I was so pissed - he's one of the best in the World in his position and he's bigger than " just the friendly games" type of players. He's proven, he's not trying to please anyone it's either you call him for serious games or you don't at all.

Twas during a fantasy show today that I discovered that Joao Pedro has got the same point as Haaland this season - 33 points.

What's the point planning to get Haaland when I can get Pedro with good bank balance I will begin to plan on how to use my lifelines.

I don't think any good coach would or should ever openly say that, it's a competitive slot and it would be direct insult to the players selected, meaning they never deserve the spot, irrespective of the work the also put in, It's easier to do on the other outside of course. There would always be that few good guys that get left at home every single year, not because they don't deserve the spot, but because not everyone would get to play.

Decisions, decisions, out of the blue I ended with 3 injured players immediately after using WC. Classic, isn't it? Had perfect team with Gross and De Cuyper on the bench against Arsenal, now with Joao Pedro and Elanga injured I have to start both of them. Which means I have 5 players in Brighton - Arsenal game and that isn't good for sure

Now I can go -4 and have great team once again, with downgrading Pedro or Isak and doing Elanga to MGW. I could free hit but that again means only 1 FT during int break, or I can just say it screw it and play Gross/De Cuyper combo. Toughest game of the season but those two are in the form of their lives This last one is a smart thing to do but I do want MGW for long term....

Slater of Hull City would be first sub coming in for Joao Pedro, and I can live with that, I won't be selling Pedro yet, it's speculated that he'd be out for 3.5 weeks which is probably just right after the break, it's not as though Chelsea's next 3 fixtures are actually easy with both Brentford and Everton (Away), but I'd rather save the transfer rather than go for a 1 week punt with probably Barry as the most reasonable option, but that would be a 1 or at most a 2 week punt too, with Hull crazy defense, Chelsea and Arsenal right after the break. I'd probably be opened to keep Isak for this week without Joao Pedro, but with 3 injuries, I do understand your position.

Who's looking at some Fulham assets?

I will trigger my WC today and am looking at their schedule that has Ipswich, Hull and Coventry in succession.
It is the best run of fixtures one can hope for - but then again, Fulham were terrible so far this season.

I'll probably have some enablers - but there's no point having them if I won't be starting them..

If at all there is a definite asset in Fulham it would have been an asset. In attack they are not scoring freely and there is no outright goal scorer there with options being between Gonzalo and King. For defensive assets there is no one to hold on to. Anyone from Fulham will be enablers nothing more. Plus this fixtures only look good on paper Fulham can still go ahead to blow it up.

This Joao Pedro injury is actually putting my transfer in dilemma, should have been an easy decision for me until this injury.

I found João Pedro’s injury really strange, right when he’s in great form and was set to be tried out for the Brazilian national team

But I’m going to keep him on my team to save a transfer slot
But I’ll have to transfer Elanga

After the international break, I plan to let Isak go and rebalance my team again

That's a good advice. I was looking at my bank balance... Therefore, I'm gonna use my WC and get Haaland, Isak and Pedro  . But that will be after Pedro's injury.

You might disagree but I think the match this evening will end with a win for Chelsea. Brentford are a point behind in the table and are unbeaten but there is a massive difference in the depth of squad that favours Chelsea.

I cannot select a winner from the Brighton and Arsenal match. This could end in a draw or maybe a first defeat for Arsenal. Manchester City are playing at home against Sunderland therefore have a chance to take all three points.

So apparently Joao Pedro is injured, as he is not in the matchday squad, i hope it is only a small knock and he should be available after the international break. Many of us didn't take him out of our teams i believe, it doesn't work well for me because i have a very weak bench, so his substitution is surely going to come in with low points.

I have taken out Mbuemo from my team and replaced him with Rogers, i hope that decision pays off and Rogers' form doesn't dip now that i have him.

Guys, nobody in the whole league has Kevin Schade? He had 2 assists today, which puts him at 3+2 for the season so far - and 39 points in total.
He was really high on my list at the start of the season but I was an idiot and went with Le Fee. What a differentiator he would have been..

Many of us didn't take him out of our teams i believe, it doesn't work well for me because i have a very weak bench, so his substitution is surely going to come in with low points.

well and his absence in the squad apart from having to use the wildcard due to unforeseen circumstances also makes some points definitely lost because in recent weeks Joao Pedro has always given quite good points.

But the good thing is I put Kayode and Ajer in, the points were pretty good even though Lewis Potter was a bit of a mistake.
The ranking is still too small but for the first season in FPL I don't feel this is too bad for the beginning of the season, I just hope you guys slip up in the middle of the season so that I can be in a decent position

I decided to keep my team without using any chips for this week. After the match today, I managed to get 5 points from Thiago and surprisingly even 3 points from Lacroix however just 2 points from Rogers. Somehow it is a good feeling that the fact a team can lose by three goals and without even scoring yet still gave me 10 points.

Just as with all of the managers here, I hope to add more points over the weekend and climb the table (and being the bottom placed team, the only way is up)

Xabi Alonso’s three man defense is obviously not working as he expects, Chelsea have conceded so many goals in just the few games they have played even they have also scored a lot of goals.

Xabi needs to be flexible and go the four man defense because Chelsea don’t yet have the capacity to manage games with just three players in defense.

Maybe Xabi is not as good as we hyped him to be.

I had a feeling Rogers was going to blank as soon as i got him into my team at the expense of Mbuemo, and it happened just as i thought. Now i would watch Mbuemo go on to score a brace against Fulham and be left to rue my decision.

Maybe Xabi is not as good as we hyped him to be.

I think he is a good manager, and i know this may sound cliche, but let's just give him time and see.

No Pedro, No Chelsea?

I didn't watch that match, what really happened? I just opened the app and discovered that Palmer gave me just 2 points. I monitored the match at about the 80th minute and saw that Chelsea was losing by a goal. I was tipping a possible equaliser, I was surprised at the final result.

This could be a great signal to a poor week. I'll cross my fingers and watch...

The strength of my team is midfield, I'll definitely rebuild it to attacking strength.

The better Brentford played, the worse my Brentford player pick turned out to be. lol Why didn’t Mamadou Sangare start? He started every game from GW1 to GW4 and even played 90 minutes most of it.

And then this guy comes on, gets a yellow card and was even close to getting sent off and almost give penalty. Such a waste I couldn’t even benefit from Brentford’s 3-0 win because of him.

Only time will tell how Alonso will be judged. Maybe he will struggle at Chelsea, maybe he will find success. It will be better to judge his performances after Chelsea go on a run of around ten successive games with a full squad (and without injuries). Without Pedro in the team, they are not even posing a goal threat therefore they have to consider buying a striker before their problems become worse.

What is wrong with Chelsea nowadays? Yes, their defence is very bad, but they should have at least be able to score some goals in return.

Schade seems to be the real deal - wow!

I guess the meta is to max out the front line and defence, and then cheap out the midfield and goalkeeper.
