BTC is like cigarette. There's a label on it says smoking is injurious to health, but people do smoke. Because it's an addiction. BTC is an addiction for crypto users. So the more time passes, more people will lean towards BTC in future for sure.
not a great example but it is what it is.

I've known Bitcoin since 2012 but started using it in 2019, though it was still for payments (funding and withdrawal) of online Forex trading, nothing more because I was careful to deal with something that might aid illegality. I later discovered that I was naive at that time, the latest development/revolution in Bitcoin made me ever feel bad and I had lost a lot of opportunities in the past to this.

The lesson learned was that it is better to move closer to what is new to us than to be condemning it from afar. Can you imagine that despite having enough money to invest in the cryptocurrency between 2019 -2021, I was adamant that I wouldn't because I believed Bitcoin aids legalities like trafficking, money laundering, terrorism, activities of drug barons, and many more. I forgot to think that as it has its advantages, it also has its disadvantages, no system works perfectly.

Thanks to the present-day awareness, development and regulations that make it clear that Bitcoin is not as porous as I thought. 95% of my only transactions are now crypto-based.

I love to read your stories about Bitcoin adoption too!

I hate the concept of "buying the dip". This means that every time that Bitcoin prices dip, you buy more Bitcoin.

It means that you believe that Bitcoin prices will keep rising forever.

So every time prices dip, you buy more.

When I first heard about Bitcoin I didn't exactly understand it. I haven't got good economy knowledge it was main reason I was not interested. But after couple more years I realized that blockchain technology was very useful. I realized holes it created against banking system and government controls over finances. I fell in love with Bitcoin. And I was proven right later. Everyone around me know used Bitcoin at least once in their lifetime. Some are active traders.

Like what they always say, it's better to be late than never trying at all.

I feel your sentiments because I also regret that I let the opportunities slip away back then when I had the chance to grasp it. Way back in 2017, bitcoin's price is really at its lowest position which makes it ideal to invest. But during those times, I had doubt that it will be worth it, so I didn't really took it seriously because I was also a student back then, trying to survive the college life. While I was busy studying, bitcoin is slowly skyrocketing.

I had my fair shares of investments made from bitcoin. Despite starting off with little capital and profit, I managed to purchase several items that I am still using today. I'm not really that down from it anymore because I decided to just look on the brighter side of things instead thinking negatively. I can always start to invest right now and in the future if I would want to and if I see a great opportunity to buy at an enticing market value. Hopefully, bitcoin will keep on growing so that we can all gain as much.

Better late but you already know how the bitcoin journey process, compared to taking fast steps, but the awareness to review bitcoin is actually very lacking, many people regret that awareness involves bitcoin negatively, because they don't know how to take full advantage of bitcoin, cases like your understanding occur quite a lot, but eventually bitcoin answered those doubts, and finally bitcoin is the only strong coin now, although corrections occur as the market goes on

Quote
many people use fiat money to commit crimes, but I don't understand why they always say Bitcoin is not good, why not say fiat money is not good, even though its function is the same as being used to commit crimes,
this is just a different perspective on how people think they might not like Bitcoin

Bitcoin is very good for any government to make it legal for their citizens to have idea about Bitcoin and how to use it in a positive way that will bring more progress into the community. Those that made Bitcoin legal in their countries some years ago, will not use Bitcoin to commit crimes in the land than to use it in a way the government will be happy to create more suitable environment for the users in the land. I think, many countries are very ready to make Bitcoin legal in their country, because of the good things they have experienced from other countries that made it legal for their citizens.

Better late than never!

A lot of people are still pushing the "bad guys use bitcoin hurr durr" narrative not even taking into account that literally any tool out there can be used for both good and bad; and even forgetting that the very currency they're using everyday is being used for malicious purposes as well.

You just said it all, a country like mine, an internet fraudster and a bitcoin trader are seen as the same. Differentiating both people to them is one of the biggest task I have come across. Especially to the older ones.

You could use dollar-pegged stable coins.
Instead of using dollar-pegged stable coins, why don't you just use the USD itself, it is probably the same thing, then i also do not trust most stable coins, and anybody who has done a bit of research into stable coins will know the reason why.

It goes without saying that bitcoin is perfect for payment in any country, i wonder why one will say it makes no sense to use it, if you think there are crypto alternatives better than bitcoin for payment, then i will ask you why those alternative cryptocurrencies aren't being adopted. Bitcoin beats every crypto in global adoption, and people keep using it all around the world for payment, it is even a legal tender in two countries already, that makes so much sense.

As long as people are making use of a stable coin, it can remain good, the only stable coin that I can not advice anyone to use are the algorithmic stable coins, they are the ones that are filling, fiat backed ones like USDT, USDC and TUSD are all not bad.

But you are not wrong, most stable coins can be frozen on noncustodial wallet, that is centralization.

If anyone can access USD directly, it is the best, rather than to depend on a coin that depends on USD and that can possibly fail, USD still has more certainty that it can not fail, unlike stable coins.

Imagine The stress of going to the bank for Western Union, MoneyGram, etc for both the sender and receiver; the ID card check; the delay in the transaction; BlockChain technology, in my opinion, is simply the PROMOX VERSION of the banking system.

I really believe that people who think bitcoin/crypto is still used mainly by bad people just don't have any idea how much we improved. If you haven't been here long enough, I can tell you that it has been used by those same bad people long time ago, it was all darknet and drugs and what not back in the day. But we turned into Micheal Saylor, Elon Musk and even Kevin o'leary levels of legit business people who are going into crypto these days.

So, it moved out of that phase long time ago and got into the fact that business and company leaders are all interested in crypto right now as well. Some may not be aware of it, but that is their problem and not ours.

Just let those people believe on what they do believe. Its their losses yet they are missing out good opportunities not only on earning money but also they are missing the actual utility which bitcoin do able to give.

There are just people who are just that too close minded on which they dont really only believe on what are the things that they do have in mind.If they disliked it because of that particular manner

then so be it and just let them be because sooner or later then would really be realizing that those are just those small cons where bitcoin does have but it been outweighed by its benefits which
might give out that positive impressions afterwards to them.

This is how the media portrays bitcoin that causes many people become afraid of it. My non-techy relatives thinks that my side-hustles are illegal because of those news about criminals using bitcoin. Some of them says it is a scam because of their bad experience on a ponzi scheme before.

I love to read your stories about Bitcoin adoption too!

I started to know about bitcoin way back 2016 during my studies. I was looking for side hustles that time and my friend introduced me to cryptocurrencies. I learned some basics of trading which helped me a lot to earn some extra money that I can add to my allowance. Up until now, bitcoin and crypto has been my extra source of income because my salary is just enough to cover my priorities.

If I had the money to get in it back then, I would've probably got into investing early in my life but I am just a snotty brat back then that only cares about living a carefree life which is regrettable but I don't mind it anymore because I've got into bitcoin now, now is what matters the most.

Yeah, i do not feel people should think they have missed so much because they are not early investors, some of them do not know that even if they had invested then, they probably would not have held for too long before selling it, that is immediately the coin started to rise back in the days, some of them look at the bitcoin price so high now and feel they missed a chance to make wealth, but the question they should ask themselves is, if they had invested then, how long would they have held before they sold, probably as early as bitcoin began to rise. Needless to say that people should not regret things like this, i am also happy with the time i found out about bitcoin, at least i could learn a lot with what had happened in the network before i joined and to avoid making mistakes that people made.

It has happened to the best of us that we knew about bitcoin long ago but were unable to invest in it mostly because of no money.
Even I have faced this but I am happy that I am still here and aware of crypto. I started from zero but over the years I have grown my portfolio.
Crypto is still young to be honest and the fact that we all are here is still a good thing. People can still start now since the market is in a bear market.
Thus a lot of opportunities are still in your way so make hay while the sun shines.

I started my journey with bitcoin in middle years of 2016 and have been my passive income with cryptocurrency as trading and investor until nowadays, not have space for me why have dislike with bitcoin although with several time got loss when investing suddenly price drop. Bitcoin have been light in my journey how I spent my daily activities by trading only without have other real working.

I am thankful with my friend have introduced me about cryptocurrency and helped my financial freedom when I know with bitcoin and altcoin, I think no space for me why disliked with bitcoin because half of my achievement right now source from cryptocurrency as trading or another passive income way trough bitcoin trader.

When you have seen and feel that you are losing a lot of your assets on Forex why do you continue, you should think about looking for another trade and move your assets there, that way you will not lose a lot of assets that you had in that time. Never blame Bitcoin for the risk you get at that time, because it is purely your own fault, before investing you should see and understand which market is good to invest in Bitcoin.

Agree with the answers here! Bitcoin has a reputation for being bad. Because it is being used by some people for evil purposes. But this is strange rhetoric as if people do not want to delve deeper into the topic and draw conclusions only on information that gives cryptocurrency a bad side. And completely ignoring the positive aspects. A good example is the transfer of funds between countries. Translation speed. Inflation protection. And I just started listing the positives.
