With only 1 game remaining, I think it's safe to say the tournament is over for me. I'm still going to participate in The final round but I've made my peace with the fact that that there is no way I can catch a top 5 placement anymore in any of the pots.  This was my first UCL pool and I enjoyed it so much that I didn't miss a single gameweek.

There is no club in Europe that doesn't care about the WCC; it's simply too difficult to participate in.  Low-key, everyone wants it.

The WCC is the final puzzle of club football; you must have it to complete club football.  You may not like it, but it remains the biggest club tournament.

I'm 99% sure that at least European clubs prefere to win Champions league or their national league over VCC. Maybe they would prefer not to play there and give players rest after long season, but it's all about the money.

Yes, because you need to be UCL winner to participate in it( old format)

Totally agree with @KTChampions, the 3.3x on Inter is a total giveaway, you waste money on PSG, same as you wasted money on Barca (if you bet on them like me). I would never have taken it if I was not Barca fan but that is the curse of all us football fans.

Tempted to try and win something back with a draw (for me the most reliable 90 mins result).

I think many times people asked and the rules actually cover. Its like BSFL, but actually less complicated because kinda straightforward. Plus, that nice line of 'organizer discretion' covers absolutely everything. Buway is actually mafia snake in training, I can bet you this.

He's on mafia radar for sure. Still rough on the edges, but workable material. Could be molded into an useful tool with time and guidance.

This is a regular friendly tournament that is interesting... to someone. Maybe to relatives of the players or rotation players who want to prove themselves. The fact that the prize money has been increased many times is because the number of games has increased many times - if before a European club would fly in for one game, take the title and fly back, now it is a lot of games in another country, which completely changes the situation. In fact, these are not prize money but simply compensation to clubs (top clubs) for lost time and resources. It was simply a two-game tournament for the CL winner (played from the semi-finals), and a club like Real Madrid has been winning it, so I understand why it isn't as important for some of their fans.  The first time Chelsea played in it, it was such an important event because we needed to put a stop to Manutd and Liverpool's FWCC champions bragging rights. We lost the first tournament but won the second.

When you consider the number of games this season, going from 2-3 to maybe 5-7 is crazy.  It sucks, but there's plenty of money around.  This generation's players are really fortunate; if Adriano and Ronaldinho had played during this era, they would not have gone bankrupt.

So Inter vs PSG it is, quite interesting in the new style competition that none of the teams that finished in the top 3 of the big pool style table made the final.

I look forward to watching the final and I will root for Inter.

Most people expected to see Barcelona against PSG but we should never write of giants like Inter.
They really impressed me after last two matches they played and it is not going to be easy for PSG to defeat them.
I just checked the odds and Inter is favorite to win in the final, but safest bet for me is over on goals.

Yeah, I know that previous tournament which they used to have in the middle of season. But tournament of 2 games to become called best team in the world, that's just not serious.
Nope, I'm not Spurs or Arsenal fan, I support Barca and I watched how my club played there, though it was longtime ago. But as I said, this trophy in priority list goes below La Liga, Champions league and Cup. It used to be not highest priority trophy same like Supercup.
Don't want to prejudice new format tournament before I will see how actually it will look, but I just don't believe that it will be more important than Champions league.

Last year Real literally flew in for one game, won it and flew away with the title. Yes, you are right, in previous years it was a two-match tournament for the winners of the Champions League, and as you can see, such a huge privilege for a European club only emphasizes the bottomnes of this tournament.
The new format will be a little more interesting mainly because there will be several European clubs there... but the European clubs already have their main competition - the Champions League and this status will remain unchanged.

Not sure if any competition held by sub-football bodies is bigger than FIFA hosted tournaments.  As per your logic, a tournament must have a large number of matches to be relevant. This season, we will see a larger 35-team tournament, which may be enough to change your mind about the FWWC.

Two-legs tournaments, yet more than 95% of European teams do not have it.  It takes a lot to get into it.

Just wondering if I should prepare to throw $10 into some competition. Already threw $1 into the Sportsbet UCL final pick 20/20. Need to get 10 just to win something but who knows, I get lucky lol

This was also my first and it was a memorable one, I joined for fun and didn't believe I would end up in the top spots. Thinking about joining the fantasy league next season, let see how that goes. The battle will be settled on the last day as all top 3 users still has an opportunity to top the table. Unless the players in the top 3 position all choose the same team to win, we'll likely get a new winner. Had two bad weeks and I lost my top spots but hopefully I can regain it on the last day. Irrespective of how it plays out, congratulations to everyone and to the potential prize winners. It was Indeed entertaining.

My chances to grab something from the prize are also pretty low im super close to both but also not that close.

For PotB i have to go with super crazy selections to stand a chance and in PotA since i dont collect any point in this second leg of semifinal im also out and i drop 3 spots and now im in 9º position.

Super crazy odds actually, you need like 4x on average for all 10 points to actually make it to top 5 but then again that doesnt really guarantee that you will be on top 5 though because pretty sure the others will try the super crazy odds strategy as well

I still maintaing my hope, i dont know why but im expecting to see since is only one game a much broad options to select and i pick Donnarumma to score 3 or more goals at 1500 odds and i take the win, believe me

Yeah, the six position getting the exact scoreline (3 points) still won't get to the 5th position points. The 4th and 5th still can't top the table with all three points too so the real battle is between the 1st to 3rd. What happens though if the 1st and 2nd end up in the same points?. I don't know the strategy others will be using for this final game but I think we might be getting more goals than we expect. Both teams aren't shy of scoring and we'll be getting a blockbuster for a final. PSG has reached their 2nd finals and will be hoping to lift the trophy this time (Man city lifted the trophy in their second try too so let see how it goes) while as inter Milan has some superstition on their side as any team that defeats Real Madrid/ Barcelona has always gone on to lift the trophy.

Yes you have a good point but i also remember how Inter played the last final against Manchester City two years ago, and i remember them being super hard on defense and when everyone was thinking about an easy win for Manchester City inter shows a hard resistance and a solid defense like every clasic italian team, i know this is another team but i feel like this can happen again.

Well yes you have a point, but we all know a final is a only one game, and everything can happen and you can be much more hard on defense that day, and Barcelona is by far one of the best offensives in the whole europe right now, so i dont take that particular semis into consideration for the final.

PSG has already won their domestic trophies this season; I doubt anyone would want the CL more than Inter, who lost their league title on the final day of the season. Final dance for them.

For the first time ever, I don't have a favourite in the final; I like both teams and hope the best team wins.
