It's finally here, the final Matchday of the group stage and the last round where we get 16 games to get points from.

Pot A leaders will hope to maintain their positions as the "halving event" means only 24 maximum points can be accrued after this stage. Pot B sees Hhampuz maintain his sizeable gap from the rest of the pack.

I took another big risk at the end of the group games. I don't care if he comes or not because the gap has widened. If it comes I will get a nice point, but it won't be a surprise for me if it comes. As these are the last matches of the groups, I expect the teams to score goals against each other in most of the matches.

I will wait more data before putting in my picks,I think it is to early to put data on 8th of December for games that play in 12-13 December,many things can change from the teams,players,coach decisions which can have a big impact on our choice.I personally will continue with 4 picks 2 with 3 stakes on them and 2 with 2 stakes on them,odds to be over 2 for such choices and this hopefully will prove me right to end in a prize spot position in the end.

Of course if people continue to take risks and if they are rewarded at least once this means I will be out of prize spot positions soon,anyway I am happy with Pot B whatever the end result will be.

There is a good choice in opting this way while by reading this I maybe do 5 games with 2 stakes in each rather than playing 4 games with different stakes.As I said it is early to place the bets but since you are going for surprise results that should not impact much your choice.Keep in mind though that every single time you hit 0 points with these type of bets it  means with every passing week you will be most probably surpassed by other people who play in a more conventional way,I hope to be one of those and thanks for the good luck since I think I am below now  .

You need to take some sort of risk just to maintain and even jump over someone who is going to do the exact same thing.
That being said I took some minimal risk but put in my picks for the Pot B predictions with the Red Star Belgrade match against a very bad Manchester City performance in all league play lately.
So hopefully will get those 8.6x points for my marginal stake amount.

Same here, I took only three matches. Those being Arsenal & Borussia Dortmund for the higher staked ones and Red Star Belgrade with just a small amount.
So just hope that those two top 5 placed teams in their own respective leagues don't fail me in this last ditch effort to get a higher spot in the Pot B pool standings.

After the disappointment I had in the Leipzig-Manchester City match in Pot B it is still continuing. I have sent my predictions for this week as well just now. However I'm in 48th place because of being able to win only 6.6 points in the first 5 matches. Therefore I have to continue to take risks. At the same time I think there could be surprises in many matches this week. Good luck to everyone.

Nah its not really that easy to hit one of the jackpot like Hhampuz but even if one or two people hit it, you will only need like 15-20 points to secure that top 10 spot. After this last group stage, it will be hard to even get an odds higher than 3 so anyone that wish to keep that top 10 spot gotta be consistent on winning points every round


I got some that really attract my eyes, Shakhtar Donetsk @6.6 and AC Milan @4.4. Decent odds with decent chance to win on these teams becaue they still have chance to qualify. I was kinda expecting Manchester United to be over 3x but meh odds are pretty low for them

Added to my calendar reminders.
I wont make any early predictions until I do some basic research, maybe this is one of the last chances to get back in race for top positions.
Glimpsed on all CL matches, I like few of them and I think we are going to see one or two big surprises this time.
Big mystery for me is how Newcastle is going to perform against Milan, they need to win but maybe that wont be enough for next stage.

Your submission was actually incomplete, you didn't mark "Stake" on your selections as the instructions say to. I actually spend time every week fixing these errors (and I bring them up often enough), they're not too many and I feel it's fair to give people a chance. But I really hope that after 5 rounds you guys get the hang of simple instructions

In future, I might just ignore incomplete submissions until the user notices. Your total should now reflect your correct pick. Have mercy on me and be more careful next time?

Thanks for the reminder, not going to take it any faster before the league finishes there is always the possibility of some major players getting injured of course that could affect their play in the UCL.

I'll be back trying to bet 10 points in Pot B, Shakhtar and Milan have been on my mind for a while now, which one is more worth betting on, both are playing away, but the odds definitely seem to favor Shakhtar.

Desire on Shakhtar, but who knows we'll see.

If I didn't mark stake as you put it, I don't think those numbers on the spreadsheet for Newcastle to beat PSG & Atletico to win would show the stake I put on those two games for, unless there is a different process am unaware of, hope its not some mistaken identity here as everything is/was good on my side, a second look wouldn't be a bad idea  💡 no offence

Btw, by all means, please punish anybody not playing by the rules with the incomplete submissions otherwise everything was submitted as guided by demo before the start of competition and I don't think submitting an entry can be difficult..


Btw the Atletico game did have the stake marked Anyway I understand the process now...

This seemed to me to be a less risky choice than the other risky matches and I went for this one. Yes, if I remember correctly it had odds of 5.45 and if it holds it will be a nice return to close the gap.
Lazio is a very strange team because they are not doing well in the league but I think they have good results in the champions league.In the first home game against Atletico Madrid they got 1 point with a goal from the goalkeeper in the last minute but before that goal they had many attempts to score.
I think that if there will be 2-3 unexpected results this week, this match will be one of them.

Atletico Madrid is in top form,they won easily at Feyenoord while Lazio could not do so and in fact Lazio lost there,we cannot expect such surprise from Lazio in the last group stage game.I think that Atletico is also having an easy game during this weekend which they can win easily without any real performance needed to win this game.

Lazio has a difficult game tonight as they are playing away and most likely will be more tired than Atletico that is why I don't think in this game lies any surprise result in the last game of the group stages.

We surely are approaching the last chance saloon here, it can only get tougher, the fact a lot of the big favorites are travelling away from home and have secured their place in the round 16 makes them a tougher choice to pick in the SuperBRU and a more tempting one for the pool, too bad for me that I submitted my pick already with an all out stake again, I probably should have waited till late monday in order to know the players that each big teams are travelling, as that should help mitigate some unnecesarry risk, however, my entire stake is one a team that is also in a win or burst situation so there is no need to think they might get conservative with their resources.

I could be wrong, but here is my opinion: after such a humiliation from Eintracht, Bayern's victory over United is inevitable. Bayern were annoyed even after the home draw with Copenhagen (Müller said in an interview that he was angry) and now they have something to prove.
With United, everything is clear - according to rumors, if United had lost to Chelsea, TH would have been fired immediately. Today United was defeated by Bournemouth and in general everything is clear and maybe everyone in the club (especially the players) is already thinking about what will happen after TH.
Considering that the odds are good, I will take a risk and add this outcome to my cash bet.
