As always, I’d rather believe that Newcastle’s streak will end than continue, it’s unlikely they’ve forgotten how to score goals 

Why do you consider Milan to be the favorite in the upcoming game? Newcastle have terrible results, but Milan are no better. If we take the last 10 games in all competitions, Milan have 3 wins, 2 draws and 5 losses, and Newcastle have 4 wins, 2 draws and 4 losses. Almost equal results but Newcastle plays at home. Bookmakers have Newcastle as big favourites:

1.79 - 3.92 - 3.92

It turns out to be a rather piquant situation that forces PSG to play strictly to win in Dortmund. But Dortmund hardly wants to take second place in the group and get a top opponent in the 1/8, so the game will be serious.

I don’t know how this will end, but for some reason I want to make a multi-bet on the fact that both games will end in a draw. I think the final odds of 15.75 look like super value.

Newcastle so far this season has been disappointing imho.  In the EPL, they're decent at home but terrible at away matches.  But with AC Milan also not being that good at the CL and it's a home match for Newcastle, they could get the win in this spot.  I mean yeah, they prolly have nothing to play for anymore but don't forget that it's for pride now as they're playing in front of their supporters.  But from a betting perspective, I wouldn't touch it.  Could still end up with something like 1 - 1.  :/

So yeah, the value side is def on AC Milan.

Pot B I am still very curious about Group F, betting 5 points on Dortmund, this is difficult for us to guess on the other hand PSG will try to win points to qualify, usually playing sometimes Dortmund is much better.

Betting 5 points for Newcastle, the odds are quite small but playing at home Newcastle always have a strong mentality this is one of their motivations to win with Milan, in theory Milan in my prediction still seems unable to press at home to Newcastle.

Bad matches away are different, but this is the Champion League, Newcastle can be more aggressive.

Yeah, I liked their start but I think most people (myself included) overlooked BVB's pedigree in this competition. I think it's really a bit unfortunate Toon had this group full of experienced clubs. Then again, it's really the style that should have suited them and I still really think they got robbed by PSG.

I'm with KTChampions though, I think Milan are the less likely to win.

I feel like this is a draw -- it's my pick for the prediction game, and I got money on Dortmund to avenge last week's poor results.

This may be the group of death but I feel like anyone from the other groups will be equally happy to meet the ones who progress. Each with talent but each far below what they're capable of.

joking aside, UEFA officials also confirmed that it wasn't a penalty, but overall, what good that has been, it was a draw and it will stay like that

Damn, both Borussia and Milan offer insanely attractive odds for those that will go all-in.

I wanted to go all in on Milan, then wanted to go 3-way (Milan win, Inter draw, Borussia win) and ultimately switched to 10 points 'safety' bet.

I hate picking teams to win in situations in which they don't need points at all - but I really feel that the pick I chose wins. It will still be enough only to defend the top 5 - and only unless Milan wins and half the people pick it.

I almost forgot about this but as soon as I laid down to sleep I immediately remember that I have to put the picks on as tomorrow I will be working late  .I just submitted my picks,this time I choose 5 games with 2 points staked at each game and I choose odds of at least 2.5 up to near 4,I think since this is the last match day there will be quite some surprise results which would help me go further in the Pot B pool otherwise if the games come as people expect I am putting those results in Pot A of the pool.

I'm rooting for Newcastle (!) and Dortmund (still want the to go top) but I think the pick of the night has to be United/Bayern, I can't help enjoying every period of crap for the Red Devils, but if there's time, PSV - Arsenal should be a treat too! I see an interesting early trend in the guys who've already submitted, but so as not to influence decisions for the remaining people, I'll reserve them for after Wednesday =)

In term of game to watch then yeah but odds suck on pot B between these two teams. We need to win against Bayern Munich and hope that Copenhagen - Galatasaray ended up with a draw to proceed to the play offs. This needs more than just a miracle but I dont really care if we dont get that top 2 spot, I just want them to win against Munich tonight. It sucks when your team keep on losing and being made fun off. Home team advantage lets go boys !

Anyway, I still havent made up my mind on which team to throw all my 10 point stake on

For Pot B bets, yes. Another (in my opinion) anomaly caught my attention: in the games Dortmund - PSG and Newcastle - Milan, the odds for a draw are very high, 4.02 in the first case and 3.92 in the second. On average, bookmakers quote a draw as 3.5 in pairs where the teams are roughly equal and each needs a win. Isn't this the case? PSG need a win to ensure Newcastle don't overtake them. Newcastle needs a win to claim 2nd place. Dortmund needs a win to stay in first place and have an easy round of 16, and Milan can still make the top 2 too.
It seemed to me that in these pairs there is a lot of value in a bet on a draw if we are talking about a cash bet.

In the playoffs it is really difficult to seriously improve your position, but still there will be 29 games ahead, which is from 0 to 87 points, so even if someone is more successful in guessing the exact scores, then only with this can you win back 10-20 points. If you take risks and guess the wins of the underdogs/draws, then the increase in points can be even greater, in fact, many participants still have a chance.

I'm more concerned about Pot A. I'm chasing Ulven for the top spot and this is the first round in which I've had so many doubts.
A lot of teams have nothing to play for, it's always a cointoss in such situations.

It's a huge round - those at the top after this one have basically got their hands on the money.

I split my bets in the opposite way, 2x5. No regrets, but just really hoping I don't get zero AGAIN. I just want a prize spot because Pot A looks lost to me. Same strat as you though Pot A my expected result. Pot B my "please let it happen" result lol

Since I'm way behind, I decided to be clever and try to get above average points somehow.  I hope it works out.  Lolol.  But sad to say it usually doesn't. 

As for the other pot, I'll just go all in on a draw for the Man United vs Bayern Munich match.  Lolol.  I think I need a steak of 5 all ins or so to get back in the running.  :/  That's a tall order but then again you never know...  I'm still a tad hopeful I could do it.

Don't have much expectations to achieve something in Pot B, so, went with boring predictions again. But probably will end with less than 10 points again .
Can't wait for Group A finish. Don't expect lucky outcome for MU, Baayern should be angry after shameful defeat in Bundesliga. While Copenhagen - Galatasaray game is golden chance for one of teams to reach next round, it's really hard to predict something here.
PSV - Arsenal and Real Sociedad - Inter sounds nice, but in general, don't have big importance as both teams already qualified. Sevilla is probably going to end their European journey even without spot in Europa League as they have to win away vs Lens.

And the fact that the Champions league has found them at a time they seem vulnerable with their current bad form, I don't see them going through this stage but worst case scenario could be dropping into the Europa League...But then again their chances to qualify at this point will lean towards PSG's performance who will want to repay that humiliating result by showing them the exit door and will throw everything they have to win their game!

These games don't have juicy odds for that jump we are all looking for in pool B

Sponsor made the choice, we expressed a preference but happily accepted the condition, it's really quite straightforward.

Not their reason (we didn't ask) but I understood immediately from my own experience in budgeting and planning that it's a simple case of volatility and accounting, which, like it or not for a corporate entity, needs to be in hard, predictable figures, possibly even in fiat.

An Annual Report of sponsorships would then say: we sponsored $10,000 for this event. That would be true yesterday, today, and 10 years from now. If they'd given Bitcoin, their annual report would say X BTC, worth $10k at escrow date, worth something else at disbursement. If Bitcoin pumps, great, they can boast a bigger dollar value. If not? Then they could only report a sponsorship of a lower value at disbursement.

Also, imagine the marketing fiasco of "hey, we sponsored $10k" then BTC takes a crap in May. Then you get Twitter trolls saying "yeah no, your prizes are only worth $5k".

Get over it, eat the cake you got =p It's a really nice cake!
