We’re half way through the group/league stage now. Liverpool now in a good position in 8th, as we know the top 8 go straight to the last 16 without requiring a 2 legged playoff to get there. It’s a big advantage to avoid tgat 2 legged playoff to avoid fixture build up.

Are you sure a top-eight finish offers any real advantages? Especially after Liverpool's first-place finish last year. In my opinion, everything is decided by the draw - roughly speaking, the easy 1/16 and 1/8 are much better than the difficult 1/8 without 1/16. If I remember correctly, due to the change in format, in the 1/8 for the clubs that got into the top 8 the return game is held on the home field, but this is a small advantage.
Overall, I don't yet know how to evaluate the usefulness of the group stage, maybe this year everything will be different (it seems that the main contenders prefer to initially cluster at the top).

About ending up in the first eight teams, i dont feel like it gives you a "real" advantage it depends so much on how the draw ends the only good thing and maybe advantage is you play less games and in a season full of games that can give you a little bit of rest and prevent some injuries but nothing more than that.

Im getting that penalty as well. -6 points for me. I should have known better that corners gonna bite me, should have gone for lower although the odds were pretty low. Anyway I kinda forget how penalty works, is it a one time penalty or does it carry over until the final round and the amount gets higher ?

Why didn't you show the entire table? I'm trying to see something - Never mind, the last season winners where somewhere at the bottom by this time lat season. Arsenal still in their favorite position. This season favorites are not in the picture.

A freak round but I managed well - and now the hunt for the top spot is on!

Liverpool also finally played a controlled and well managed game - we were much better than Madrid so now I'm expecting a good game against City. They ruined the last few of my weekends, hopefully that stops now.

Wow! That’s one hell of a challenge, how the bookies can lure you in with your desire to win 50mbtc as your self fashioned weapon.
There isn’t any way Arsenal wouldn’t conceive in the UCL let alone win it.

Predictions such as these makes us wonder what would be of them when they play against Bayern Munich. Bayern Munich is yet to lose a match and Arsenal don’t look like the team that can stop them. They can try to moderate the goals but, Bayern Munich would certainly do some damages to them.

You're right, but sometimes players too eager to chase down other players who are in a higher position.
I also received a penalty even though I'd already divided 6 points among 6 markets, and it was annoying that none of them gave me anything.

I dropped to third place and Mia became the current leader.

In a more compact format, it's difficult. There's a lot of information in each round, many games and results, and then there are the choices to be made in the point-based questions. However, suggestions are welcome.

Wow wtf Arsenal win CL and clean sheet. @Hhampuz @cryptofrka That should be 100x no way This means clean sheet odds 8 games is roughly 50x alone. Add in winning and it is surely over 100x. Mafia is mafia, they will hedge by betting that amount on every game clean sheet.

The Qarabaq at Anfield will save you guys a lot of energy as I think teams like Chelsea who went there and almost lost struggle with temperature and travel.

Now you just have to go to Italy and France (I believe these are the tricky games), anything at Anfield you guys seem to handle well. I still have nightmares about Barca lol.

You are atalking about the new "features" or better to say the new stats and form of showing the information right? i saw it the other day i need to keep looking at it because it wasnt so easy to have a global summary about my own plays, but maybe i just look bad at it and is in some part of the web i just checked it very fast.

I only chase Mafia in leaderboard, but only because they are cheating and manipulating all the time  

I think buwa is doing a great job with questions each round, and he is not making it easy for all of us to earn points

Just realized that there's another update, this makes navigating picks 10x easier than it was before.
The 'compare' feature will be really useful in the final stages of the tournament as well.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone but 99% of the credit to joker_josue I have to say. I should be properly done with testing on Monday but we can now confirm Smartvirus won the MD4 freebet -- well done! I think we are really getting to a stage now where the stats and comparisons make a lot of good sense and is "eye-pleasing". We'll keep tweaking and hopefully it becomes the norm for future pools. Who knows?

It proved to be a really tricky round for so many people, probably a record penalty Matchday, but that was the point, and that was the outcome, and that puts a smile on my face.

Mafia paid me some bribes so we'll return for a nice BTTS remembrance day on MD5, but I really really wish markets would appear quicker. I think notblox1 pointed out that pickings are so slim these days until 2 days before the match. Such margins for the bookies I guess!
