I doubt Manchester City in this match even though many people seem very optimistic about Manchester City's chances of winning. Of course, it is still very difficult to justify the results of the match because this match is expected to be fierce for both teams. Bayern Munich are team unbeaten in the Champions League since the group stage, their defense is very strong and that has to be the basis of why I doubt Manchester City's home match.

The meeting record of the two teams seems to be the same, they have won and lost each other in 6 meetings. Pep might have won because Bayern Munich was a team he had worked with for several seasons, but now Bayern Munich is a very different team. The match will be in 20 minutes, but I'm just curious about Haaland today.

Manchester City seems to be more favourite in this match. Because this team is now very stable. On the other hand, I don't know if Thomas Tuchel has been able to stabilize the Bayern Munich team. We have seen some erratic performances from Munich in the last few matches. However, Tuchel is quite an experienced coach. And he knows Manchester City's style of play very well. Since he was a coach in the Premier League for a long time. I am keen to place my bet on Manchester City. But in this high-voltage match, one has to be prepared to see any result. Both teams have chances to win.

But I agree with the fact that in this first match Manchester City is the favorite, due to the fact that they play at home in the Etihad Stadium, and next match in Germany Bayer will be the favorite for win the match for sure.

Manchester City has been displaying an exceptional level of performance lately spearheaded by their prolific striker Erling Haaland with 10 goals in UCL alone and have won their last 8 matches in all competitions including several victories with large scores .In the other hand Bayern Munich has encountered some difficulties in their domestic league the German Bundesliga where they currently hold the top spot hardly with only two points ahead of second placed Dortmund. Nevertheless they have been remarkable in the Champions League this season passing Barcelona and having easily knocked out Paris Saint-Germain in the previous round and wouldn’t be an easy opponent for Halland camarades.
This upcoming match is highly anticipated and expected to be a thrilling encounter. Both teams will be eager to score as many goals as possible in the first leg knowing  that either side is capable of turning the tables in the return fixture. Both teams have the chance to win regardless of who is the favourite. Manchester City have a healthy squad to try their best, but that doesn't make victory guaranteed. Bayern Munich is very good in their attack scheme, their counter-attacks are very dangerous and of course the defense is very supportive.

The only problem with this game is that Manchester City seem to be very effective regarding their goals stats. Haaland has been unstoppable lately, he is very likely to score in this match in my opinion. While the probability of Manchester City winning is up to 60%, I don't think it really matters.

I can't say anything about this game, both teams are strong teams who are regulars in the UCL, most likely we won't see many goals here because both teams will really keep their situation in check to prepare for the second leg later at Allianz Arena. FYI, I have placed a bet in this match for Bayern Munich +1 FT with odds @1.79, not bad, but let's see what the two teams can do in this match.

So the action is back in tonight with Benfica waiting Inter and City waiting Bayern.I think both games can as well end in a home victory as I think Benfica is fully focused on the Champions and their recent performance has been great in the home league while Inter has been suffering a lot in their home league and as such I think Benfica will win tonight.In the other game City has missed so many times to win the Champions League and this is a golden opportunity for them,they have Haaland now in their squad to make a difference as it looks like he was the missing piece for City to do well in the Champions League and most likely they will win tonight.

Analysing the starting lineup of Bayern Munich

The line up of Bayern Munich is impressive and can match that of Manchester City comfortably. But the notable things are;
1. Cancelo is on the reserve in his return to Etihad.
2. Mane and Muller are on the bench. I don't know.if Tuchel wants to be playing Sane over Mane and Gnabrry over Muller. That of Muller is understandable but I don't understand the reason behind that of Sadio Mane being played from the bench.

Manchester City have just scored a goal and they are in the lead by 1-0 now. But I must admit that it was an amazing shot by Rodri to the upper corner. Sommer was really desperate about saving that rocket. Manchester City were deserving to get ahead first as well of course. They have had many chances and I remember one time Haaland wasted a big chance by a weak shot. But hopefully Haaland will also improve his performance during the game. They really need his contribution as well.

It will be more difficult for Bayern Munich now. They will need to take bigger risks to find the equalizer. If Manchester City find the second goal then this will be a huge advantage for qualifying for the next stage.
