I don't see any added value or benefit to that rule. In the group stage I could still imagine it because then you could help another team in the last game, but that is certainly not the case in the quarter finals. Jorginho has won the Europa League Competition with Chelsea before, I think he can help boost them up for the competition to be ready at all cost. Ats least his experience will take them far.
