Benfica were actually unlucky with the own goal early on in the match. They were behind twice in the match and managed to equalize on both occasions but they could not get the winner.

Benfica is going to win santa Clara looking at their recent form, they have a good team so the are projected to win this game, currently the are in first position in the league, they have played 16 matches so far with 41 points while Santa Clara has played 16 matches with 14 points and they are well sitted in 16th position which is a dangerous zone that can slide into relegation if nothing is been done by the team urgently, so in my own personal view Benfica is going to take the overall lead of the match with a landslide victory.

Arouca was very strong in the game, scoring early in the game and ending up thrashing Portimonense. They continue to demonstrate a consistent campaign this season.

Sporting 2-1 Vizela
After having had a great game in the previous round against Benfica, Sporting had a bad game against Vizela. Managed to win the match, due to a penalty in the last minute of the game.
Despite the defeat, Vizela continues to be a team that makes life very difficult for the big teams. And Sportinga, despite the victory, continues to be a very unstable team.

I was hoping to see the two teams scoring, but it seems that Arouca had its way and went for the victory. Portimonense could not counter Arouca attacks and ended up losing 3 points on this turn. Unfortunately, by being unable to score they simply smashed my bet.

Porto look to gain further ground in the Portuguese Primeira Liga title race when they go up against Vitoria Guimaraes at the Estádio Dom Afonso Henriques. Vitoria Guimaraes ended up suffering a 2-1 loss against Gil Vicente in the recent away game. The strength continued for Porto who have managed a 4-1 victory over Famalicao in the recent league encounter. Porto head into the encounter after having managed a big win over Famalicao. This coupled with Benfica dropping points in their own last match before today has meant that Porto have reduced the deficit to the top down to just five points. Sergio Conceicao and his team will be without Zaidu and Evanilson due to injuries. There have been a staggering 40 goals scored in the last 16 league matches by Porto making them the joint top scorer in the league alongside Benfica. Purely in the last six matches, Porto have been averaging three goals per game significantly better than any other team in the division. Vitoria Guimaraes may not even contribute goals in this game, but this match could end up with more than 2.5 goals.

benfica had a very easy game because they even managed to score 3 goals and most importantly they didn't concede any goals, this will raise the morale of the benfica players so that in the next games they can win and become champions, as a benfica fan I was very satisfied with their victory, it gives me hope that we can win the Portuguese league, it's enough that they don't sell the important players

about porto, i had already commented that sporting has become an inconsistent team like in past seasons, and the situation at porto is the same thing, they do not inspire confidence, nor does it seem that porto has always been a team that was hardly inconsistent, but in these last games, porto has managed to score a lot of goals, so i see porto winning this game

Both Braga and Benfica both won their games today. Lets see what Porto has for us later today. Braga is really on Benfica's tail. There is just 4 points between them. Its going to be a very interesting second half of the season ahead. Benfica cant afford to slip if they are to win the league while Braga also have to be at their very best if they're to catch up with Benfica and leapfrog them. Porto also are just about 8 point away from the top spot. If they win their game today it will be 5 points with 17 matches left to play. They fight would be be between Benfica, Braga and Porto. I'm betting on Benfica to maintain their lead and even extend it but you never know. You can never write off Porto. I don't think Sporting CP will get into the race despite been only 12 points behind the top sports. However it goes, I know we would be entertained and I'll be here for it.

Porto really beat Guimarães with just one goal. It was a very difficult game for Porto, especially in the last minutes of the game, in which Guimarães almost had to score.

The visitors are also coming from the back of a 1-0 home defeat against Pacos Ferreira. Famalicao look to continue their unbeaten record against Rio Ave when they go up against this opponent of the Portuguese Primeira Liga. Famalicao could end up dropping down to 16th place in the table depending on results this weekend. Puma is the only player who will be unavailable for the game because of a ruptured knee ligament. Rio Ave are down to 10th in the standings after the recent loss against Pacos Ferreira. After a string of recent performances, Rio Ave found themselves at the receiving end of a resurgent team.
