The Portuguese league may have become quite strong after all. Especially in the width at the top. This week Sporting Braga managed to eliminate Arsenal and Benfica is among the best 8 in the CL and was also successful last year. Benfica, Porto and Sporting challenge each other in the competition, but apart from that, the competition is quite weak. There is little challenge in it. It is striking that the difference in level is so large with the Spanish competition. And I mean from 4th place to last place. Years ago I also questioned myself about this, I've never been to Portugal, although my country was colonized by Portugal, but looking at the teams in Portugal:

Benfica has remain ontop of their league and they are always puting up good fight to maintain their position in the league this team has continuef to work hard in other to always get the best result in their league their performance has kept them unbeatable in some  couple of matches they have played so far.

The point difference between Benfica and Porto has just reached 10 points already. The draw against Braga cost Porto really much. I don't think Porto can catch up with Benfica in the remaining nine weeks in the season. Benfica should be able to reach the title very easily from now on. I think it is really time for Benfica also to become the champions because their last title was in the 2018/19 season.

A bit sad that Benfica was kicked out in the Taca de Portugal, which was quite a spectacular game and ending. But they are still on their way to finish a perfect season. Their chances to make it into the Champions League semi final has probably never been bigger. Inter is by far not in the best shape possible and Benfica is a real force in their home games. They won twelve and tied one game and they score almost 3.5 goals on average at home. In my opinion that's the game where Benfica is going to kick Inter out.

The Primera Liga is over I think, but there could be a tiny little chance left for Porto if they are the first to win against Benfica in a home game on April 8th, but I don't expect that. The stats are too strong for Benfica and even if it happens, it would still be seven points probably. That's the last chance that Porto will get this season. Win that game or there is no way to catch up.

The performance of the Benfica team has impressed me this season. It's not just that they're doing well in the Primeira Liga.
