Both teams looking very solid so far in Primeira and even in Champions league. 2 Benfica games with PSG tells a lot . Porto loss at home is extremely rare thing, but Brugge win 0:4 at Dragao shows that they're not unbeatable. Any way, I'm backing Porto and let's say it will be 3:1.
BTW, why nobody isn't giving credit to Casa Pia? Team got promoted to top division for the first time in their long history and now standing in 4th place. Question, how long it will continue...

in past seasons benfica won games against small teams but when they were games against teams like porto and sporting they lost and after losing the worst nightmare happened, benfica was unbalanced to the point of starting to lose against small teams and then couldn't win league, it's been like that lately, the question now is whether or not this season they'll behave differently from past seasons. If Benfica manages to win in this game, they can certainly be champions, but if Benfica loses in this game against Porto, they won't be champions.

Offcourse that they're not going to fight for title and maybe they won't finish in UEFA cups zone. My point is that team out of nowhere with one of cheapest squads in league having very solid start of season. In long term I'm sceptical about their chances, but who knows, maybe they will repeat something similar what Roayle Union didvin Belgium last season, when team promoted from 2nd division almost won league.

Regarding Porto vs Benfica, in the next round, I still have some doubts about how this game will turn out. Porto usually play very strong games against Benfica, and historically they have had good results. But Benfica has shown an incredible attitude since the beginning of the season and they still haven't lost a game. Both teams will meet at the best moment they are. Honestly, I wasn't surprised when they drew. (Although I prefer Benfica to win.) 

Casa Pia is really having an extraordinary period. They made life very difficult for Benfica, despite losing, and the other game they lost was against Vizela, which is not a very strong team. Despite being a team with a lot of history in Portuguese football, it is currently not considered a very stable and consistent team. And usually every season, there is a small team that usually makes excellent season starts. Let's see how long it can keep up with that excellent record. Casa Pia played most of their matches against weak teams of the league this season, i don't really think hey can keep it up this way, they will have a lot of difficulties later on when fatigue gets to them and when they face bigger teams, we can't judge yet, we have to see what they do against bigger clubs like Braga, Sporting and Porto.

I hope Sporting bad moment ends exactly in this game.I am sorry to see such a big name not being able to fight for the title directly with their historical rivals like Benfica and Porto.Casa Pia sure looks strong and is near the top of the table but the fact that Sporting is playing at home should give them their home advantage,in front of their fans I doubt they will be making other errors,we are still early in the season so I think a win in their home field against a somewhat strong team during this season like Casa Pia would restore Sporting lost confidence.I believe the odds to be good for Sporting so worth betting on them during this weekend.

Tonight we have an important match for the course of the league. The priority for both teams will be not to lose the match, but porto will be ready to put all their efforts to win as they are the hosts. The match is really open to 3 outcomes, it's hard to decide but porto is one step ahead because it's at home. Benfica and porto are both teams that can score goals in European matches and have plenty of chances. This match could be a goalscoring affair or both teams could play cautiously.

Don't know how about you guys, but I feel disappointed about O Clássico. Not because that I backed Porto and they lost. That red card in the middle of 1st half ruined game, game with equal squads would be much more interesting. Now Benfica controlled the game and got deserved win.

Benfica won the Portuguese derby. I think Porto's eustaquio got a red card in the 27th minute, leaving his team down to 10 men. If Porto hadn't been down to 10 men so early, maybe they wouldn't have lost points at home. With this win Benfica increased their point difference with Porto. Benfica is now the only undefeated team in the league.

It's hard to believe that Casa Pia beat Sporting. Because Sporting, despite the less positive phase they are going through, are always a great team. And Casa Pia is the team that just moved up from the first league. But it will undoubtedly be an interesting game to follow.

Benfica is really making an extraordinary start to the season, and this victory only reinforces that. It wouldn't be the first time in the Portuguese league, that a team managed to recover 6 or 7 points and in the end win. Now it all depends on Benfica, to be able to keep up this good rhythm. Despite showing some signs of tiredness, he has managed to overcome his opponents. We'll see how the season continues.
