The Netherland had to start defending and waiting for a counterattacks just after England leveled with them with Kane's penalty. This gave England control of the entire game taking possession of the midfield down to Netherland yard box, increasing their pressure. I don't think that Spain will allow the match to get into penalty shootout because they can win within 90 minutes. Their only tough match that have taken them to the extra time of 120 minutes was against Germany they scored their winning goal before 120 minutes. If Spain cannot win and the match extends to penalty shootout, it means that Spain will not win the finals because England have a good record on penaltyies and their top penalty players don't miss their penalties, they are the ones that plays penalties in their clubs as first choice. Maybe it was not the right call to be mad, the VAR check was poor because, when you take a look at the build up to the incident, that ball strucked Saka's hand, who makes such a call? It's embarrassing. That said, I blame  the manager, he was too slow to make important decisions by bringing more attacking players when they had control of the midfied. Funny how they had a good performance yesterday and I wasn't expecting it because they have been so poor in their last matches. I dont know if i should be happy for them or not. Because i had lost hope in England in this competition, the teams I had a full interest in to win the tournament have all gone except Spain. I don't want England to win the final, Spain is my favorite in the final. My reason is because England has been lucky all along, ever since the knockout stage down to the quarter final. It is either they won by one goal, own goal, or a penalty shootout. And i wasn't surprise to see that they were given a penalty in the Semi final in other to qualify.

I totally agree with you, for me France is a very good team, but I think Mbappé has to partner with another striker. If Deschamps does not change his formation, I think they will lose, and badly, because Spain is very well integrated. In fact, if this Spain of now had been in Qatar, I think they would have even been able to compete in the final, but the incompetence of Luis Enrique meant that this team did not give its best. For me Spain is at a much higher level as a team. For France to beat them I see it as extremely difficult.
