Fair enough, yeah it could be big as the Ali upset on Liston that time, and it seems that's where Ali has started his trash talking though and from what I read it was like over before the actual fight because they say that Liston is really affected on what is Ali is saying on the public against him. I mean the psyche war is already won by Ali already. Not just that he look very educated + charisma. It maybe stem from him always praising God first during his win or when he is interviewed. It seems that the kid is God fearing and that's where he got his strength.
Also, he is the underdog which really doesn't matter to him because it comes inside the ring it should be a different story because they are both capable of knocking out each other and though Davis is the upper hand in the eyes of the boxing expert, I'm sure there will be lots of fans cheering for Garcia because he has lots of fans and supporters all around the world. That's why he really needs to practice how to successfully land his signature punch against Davis so that it will become a never-forgetting moment in boxing history. Yeah, for sure he knows that he is a big underdog here, even before the fight, he had that idea that he will be and so he could used this to motivate him more in beating Tank and could be right there with the biggest upsets in boxing history like the Liston vs Ali in the 60's. Ryan Garcia has a lot of fans, both inside and outside of boxing, and probably Davis fans comes only from his boxing so they are casuals who love how Tank is inside and knocking people out with his power. He already developed that perfect left hook, it's just a matter of how he is going to execute it in fight now. The timing and the quickness to react will be the key for him to win because that will be his biggest weapon here, he has the height and reach advantage already. Right now, both fighters already have an equal chance of winning based on what they have shown us. They are both very eager to win, which makes them better, and of course, this is going to be a hell of a fight as they not only want to win, but also want an impressive win, which means it should be by KO. Both fighters are undefeated, so losing is not in their vocabulary, but after the fight, one of them will no longer be undefeated. In the end, it will be the crowd who will enjoy and be satisfied with what they paid for.

Tank Davis is winning the poll. But I do like that there are also those who support Ryan Garcia to win this fight. I mean, it's not impossible to happen but I just don't really like the clause that was made by Davis' camp that may ruin his performance due to the weight demand even before the fight begins. Anyway, here is the price tag of the PPV and I may have to agree with the writer's comment about the expensive price. You can imagine that many boxing fans will be hopping mad at the price for the Davis-Garcia event and choose to watch it for free on an illegal stream on April 22nd instead of paying the $84.99. Source: Gervonta Davis Vs. Ryan Garcia For $84.99 On PPV On April 22 - Boxing News 24 ( https://www.boxingnews24.com/2023/03/gervonta-davis-vs-ryan-garcia-for-84-99-on-ppv-on-april-22/) That's a lot of money for just watching it on TV. I may also pass and just wait for the replay. Stay out of the social media department to avoid receiving spoilers and watch the fight in silence with a beer in my hand. I don't agree with the expensive price too, they are just ruining the chance of making more money because I am sure there will be a lot of illegal streamers that would broadcast this live on different websites and even in popular social media apps.

I guess that is somehow expected considering that this bout is already considered as a mega fight, the PPV price is just $5 below Mayweather-McGregor's PPV price. But yes, that's quite expensive for this one and instead of maximizing their profits to have a lot of PPV buys, they are in-fact making it to the opposite way by setting a high price like that. They thought it would be worth it and would be bought by a lot of people because they are basing from the fact that if there's a lot of people who are willing to pay for an expensive ticket, how much more for their PPVs. Anyway, let's see what would be the result of their decision for riding the hype and taking advantage while these boxers are being talked a lot.

Too expensive, but it is expected as you say, because this is one of the biggest fight for this year and the network and promotions are taking advantage of the hype to increased the price at $80++. Usually it's below for certain big fights, but not in this magnitude. Both are very young and at their prime, both has a knockout power and hate each other and wanted to take each other heads off with a single blow. Both have a lot of fans specially Ryan Garcia. So yeah the hype is there and so it's better to take advantage of that and make a lot of money.

It's true that both fighters need to make money while they can, and since they are both still in their prime, this is an ideal time for them to maximize their earnings. Furthermore, since one of them will no longer be undefeated after the fight, triggering a rematch clause could lead to a potential trilogy of this rivalry. As for your prediction, it's interesting that you are siding with Ryan Garcia, despite him being the underdog. You believe that he can beat Davis without any problems, which shows confidence in his abilities.

Also, the promoters should rent Las Vegas Raiders' Allegiant stadium, have a big screen and let everyone pay $100 per person to watch the fight hehehe. Well, that's a first if that indeed happens but they should swap the venue though because Allegiant Stadium can hold more people compared to T-Mobile Arena. That's quite too much for him to say especially that he ain't got the WBA world title belt, or any of those existing belts that is now possessed by the undisputed champion, Devin Haney. And he's saying and comparing himself towards Canelo Alvarez? Boy, I know you got talents but you still have a long way to go and that's for sure. However, similar to what I have said, it can be argued that he might become the face of boxing if he wins this fight. The same argument can be created for Ryan Garcia. I also reckon that it would leave a bigger impression on the fans if Ryan Garcia is the winner. The occurrence might be compared to Muhamad Ali versus Sonny Liston where Ali was the underdog hehehe. Either can be the face of boxing, because as far as drawing fans to their fights, it's easy for them, they have the charisma specially Ryan Garcia. For Tank Davis his trash talk and the way he demolished his opponents with highlight knockout. Not sure if we can compare it to the great Muhammad Ali, they don't have any belts, either one of them, it's that they are the main draw in this division and not the champion in Haney. I was only trying to make a argument of the type of storyline the sports news media might create if Ryan Garcia wins the fight. If he knocks out Tank with an unseen left hook it would certainly be written in the news as something similar to Muhammad Ali's phantom punch used against Sonny Liston hehehehe. Ryan has the charisma and he appears to be well educated. Tank appears to be someone who is from the streets when you listen to him. Fair enough, yeah it could be big as the Ali upset on Liston that time, and it seems that's where Ali has started his trash talking though and from what I read it was like over before the actual fight because they say that Liston is really affected on what is Ali is saying on the public against him. It seems that the kid is God fearing and that's where he got his strength. I am quite certain that Ryan is God fearing because he is from Mexico hehehe. This is offtopic but I reckon all of the colonies of Spain were controlled through the use of religion. They wanted to create a fear. I am quite aware this is a very skeptical argument, however, this is in history. Much of the people in the Spanish colonies were only used for their natural resources and left the colonies and the people poor.

Ryan Garcia possesses power in both hands, so we cannot discount his abilities despite being the underdog in this fight. Both fighters are great, but the bookies' job is to create odds for the favorites and the underdogs of the fight. Garcia's underdog status isn't an issue, as bettors who believe in his potential can see it as an opportunity.

Yes, this is really the good time for them to fight and it's good that we are going to see them at their primes and maybe we can talk it in the future how good this fight is and the money that this young boxers earn with this one fight. And it can really change their careers specially whoever wins that fight.

Anyway, let's see what would be the result of their decision for riding the hype and taking advantage while these boxers are being talked a lot. We can't compare though the price with Mayweather-McGregor PPV price, but if it will be adjusted then it should be the same price because of the magnitude of this fight. As we have been saying all along, two young and very powerful boxers in ther prime, we couldn't ask for more and it's good that it is going to happen this year. And with that, if the Mayweather-McGregor fight was big that time, maybe this fight could be comparable at least in terms of PPV numbers. Even Oscar was hype about this and he said that it could break PPV records. But we all know that it's coming from him as he promotes Ryan Garcia.

Probably I was caught by the Ryan Garcia hype, . So for me though, as much as the odds favor Tank by a good margin, still 50/50 for me. I mean just one power punch could turn the fight into Ryan's favor. Yes, this is really the good time for them to fight and it's good that we are going to see them at their primes and maybe we can talk it in the future how good this fight is and the money that this young boxers earn with this one fight. And it can really change their careers specially whoever wins that fight. Tank is a heavy favorite, he is -280 or has an implied chance of 73.7%. https://www.oddschecker.com/us/insight/boxing/mma/20230227-gervonta-davis-vs-ryan-garcia-odds-davis-given-73pp-chance-to-beat-garciaNow, if you believe it's a 50/50 fight, you should go with Ryan Garcia as it has the value for your money. I know that he is the heavy underdog, 3:1 in most crypto sports bookies. The reason though that I say that this might be a 50/50 fight in my book because of the power by this two. If by chance Ryan Garcia is the first one to landed that big shot and kO or KD Davis then he might have a good chance. Ryan has very fans hands, he might be just plodding though and that is his weakness. But once he can land his left hook and Davis feel the power then it might be a different fight and the favorite might turtle up and play defense. This is just one scenario that might happen that will favor Ryan Garcia.

I don't think the PPV revenue of the upcoming fight between these two boxers will come anywhere close to that of Mayweather vs McGregor. Mayweather was widely considered the best fighter of his era and had many detractors, which actually helped attract more fans. However, neither of these two fighters have that level of popularity. There are other popular boxers in higher divisions that have more widespread appeal. While I believe they will sell a significant amount of PPV, we cannot compare it to the enormous revenue generated by Mayweather's mega-fights.

Yeah, why not, we can say or estimates that it might be around 500,000 to as high as 1 million, I reckon. So it's going to be way below the Mayweather records, like the McGregor and Manny Pacquiao fight. Don't believed Oscar, he is delusional if he thinks that this fight can break PPV numbers. It might not even be in the top 10.

Most of the time, those people who like this kind of event that don't have enough budget to buy PPV will rely with free streams coming from those websites that will offer free streams. I also believe that even they may gain attention the shared revenue will still be far from those Mayweather mega fight. There are more popular fighters that will offer big event that fans will support but for this one, maybe they'll earn decent but not that huge.

I think it was indeed big at that time because if it's not, the fight won't be on the history of one of the biggest PPV buys and in-terms of generated revenue. Although a fight like that is not unusual anymore but both parties managed to market that fight well and they got a press conference tour which helps them sell their fight. Anyway, regarding this fight that it would break PPV records, that's quite a bit too much to ask, IMO. The biggest fight so far that had the most PPV buys was the fight that dubbed as "The Fight of the Century" and that was the fight of Mayweather vs Pacquiao which garnered a total of 4.6 Million PPV buys.

I agree, this fight might earn big enough in the live gates as the tickets are already sold-out, so that means that all of it are already guaranteed on their side but in-terms of PPV buys? They might not break the record that they're aiming because we are now in the midst of modern era where almost people that wanted to see the fight got their own ways how to see it live. And talking about that, there's these streamers on the internet now that offers live streaming in-exchange of some donations of their service.

Ok let's hear the opinion of Shakur Stevenson, he will have his fight at 135 lbs later and this is his take in this fight. “Ryan don’t have the IQ, the defense. I just think Tank's IQ is better than Ryan’s for sure. You gotta make him earn everything. Ryan, it don’t look like he’s the type of fighter that’s gonna make him earn anything. It’s all gonna be given to him. Once he gets that shot, it’s over with.”
https://www.boxingscene.com/shakur-stevenson-believe-ryan-garcia-iq-beat-tank--173482So another fighter in the books who think that the odds are correct and it should be in favor of Davis because he believes that Ryan doesn't have the ring IQ and one dimensional and he blatantly attack and says that everything that Ryan got at this point of his career is like spoon feed for him but Golden Boy. Not sure what will be Ryan's response here, (I haven't seen one), but for sure he will not take this lightly and could be very well replied through his official and verified twitter account hehehe.

We should respect the opinion of the champion, as he likely sees the weaknesses of Ryan Garcia. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that Garcia is the inferior fighter. Bookies create odds based on public opinion, so as a fan of Garcia, I'm not bothered by predictions of his loss, as this could make his odds more heavy underdog. In truth, Davis is a skilled fighter, and I'm glad that Garcia is finally facing a tough challenger to prove himself in the championship league.
