Today we have a lot of interesting games coming up but I would like to talk specifically about the match between Enyimba vs plateau united. First of all, Enyimba has suddenly become a disappointment, they started by losing their first game of the season to tornadoes, for a team that is known for doing well in the past, they have fell from that to being the worst team ever. Even though they are playing from the home side today I don't really think that they have what it takes to win pleatuea United, my reason for saying that is because plateau united are in a more better form than them and Enyimba on the other hand are occupying a poor position on the league table. What are your thoughts on this match.

Gone are those day's that Nigeria premier League top club use to be Enyimba United and their even went from there to producing one of the Nigeria supper Eagles most recognized and celebrated goal keepers.

The current underperformance was spotted in the early day's of last three seasons when the club failed to get the right hands as replacement for key players that left the club.

Incident like that will definitely effect the club future performance on the pitch, which is what we are seeing right now with the underperforming imagine what they played against plateau United.

Enyimba have become a shadow of themselves. The team failure is as a result of poor management from the club directors and the NPFL. This team has the highest title in Nigeria football, they should have invested so much into this club, they have poor stadium, poor training centres, and salaries and bonuses doesn't get paid early. The fall off is so surprising, they literally survived relegation with just 2 points last season, and they haven't been able to qualify to the either of the champions league or confredation for 2 season in a row. I don't think this club has any vision to revive it self. I am a fan of Remo stars but I always envy this club then, for them to win 2 Champions league back to back and 9 NPFL titles. It's so sad seeing this club in this poor condition, they have now become a mid team.

Match day 7 have been concluded and Enugu Rangers and Rivers are already looking like the team to challenge for the league this season. Enugu rangers have lost just one game and win 6 games with of those games coming away from home. Rangers are really a team to watch out for this season in the league. Their last game was a derby against Abia warriors and they came out on top by 3 goals to 1.

Rivers on the other hand still remains unbeaten but have lost most of their points to draw. They have won 4 and draw 3. I believe have a good team to challenge for the league this season and I won’t be surprised if I see them winning it.

I grew up as a little boy admiring Enyimba's exploits both within and outside Nigeria, the likes of Enyeama started their careers there and they were a beauty to watch in the early 2000s, but now they're in ruins and I don't even think any real talent would want to be signed there. They are now a small team, same thing happening to Leicester City isn't far from the predicament of Enyimba United.

Surprisingly Enyimba ended up winning plateau united, Perhaps the pressure and comments about the team has made Emmanuel deutsch sit up a bit but their position on the league table is still quite low. Enyimba has raised good players in the past but now has become nothing to write home about.


I really hope that this is going to be a fresh start for them, it's possible for them to pick up if they work more on their defense because they concede a lot. Lastly, what happened to plateau united, it was quite disappointing that they were not able to score even a single goal.

I can’t say for Eyimba because they don’t look serious this season, so far they have won just two matches and lost four which is very bad start; they are not among the teams we can see for the title challenge this season.

At this no one is happy is the club. Personally, i am super disappointed but what can I do?
This was a club whose name was synonymous with champions but now, see them cruising through a losing streak.

If you ask me, I would say, the club needs a complete overhaul... that is the only thing that can save them make them go back to being the sweethearts of Nigerian Premier Football League fans.

Any gamblers that want to jump into conclusions without looking deeply to observe well on how the league is actually going before authoring a comment on teams, i hit myself on the chest that Nigeria league has been given me winnings but i don't predict games on a regular basis, at Least a day before yesterday i was able to predict River United to win their opponent and also Enyimba to win Plateau Utd,  the both games actually gave me the winning in one of my running games, i was surprised to see that both teams won the match, because the last place my prediction on those teams, i was so unlikely, there are allot of improvements in Nigeria preimer League.

Senior man,thanks for bringing up our local league game come our board. I know say many of us no even remember about our league or we no dey get time watch am. The reason be say naija neva advance reach when anything wey dem dey do make the serious to bring out the best result, instead na mago mago dem dey do. Na only Nigeria league fans dey rush enta field beat player or stop match due to misconduct.

Nigeria gra gra and open eye na e dey jones us,wey we dey fill say na we know pass. I bin go watch one match like that wey as Bayelsa united dey host Kano pillars,omo as Kano Pillars dey win 1-0,something wey no suppose cause any problem wey referee blow,once na e all this da boyz rasc everywhere wey them gas cancel the match. Make we try dey real for once. As we don get this thread I go try to follow up if them no go vex me.

Well, it is really very nice bringing up this discussion about Nigeria league here, and am very glad making my own contribution here too. Though many of us rarely place bet or even watch Nigeria football, but I think it is necessary we also promote Nigeria league buy talking about it. For now, Nigeria league is not yet renown like the European football that many of us use to watch, and place bet on, but I feel with time, there will be some kind of improvement.

Going back to the Nigeria league statistics, so far they have played 7 matches which means the league is still very fresh, and much is still expected from the teams , however teams like Enough Rangers, and Rivers United have a very nice beginning, Enough Rangers have played 7 matches, winning 5, 1 draw, and 1 loss while Rivers United
have won 4 matches, and 3 draws . In my own view Enugu Rangers is in very good form in this beginning, and if they should continue in their present pace, they will likely win the Nigeria league.

You didn’t mention Rivers United, do you think that Rivers United aren’t good enough to be Challenging for the Nigerian Professional Football League title, Enugu Rangers looks more like a title contenders but I’m not going to leave it to them alone, I feel Kano Pillars are overrated in terms of teams that are going to be fighting for the title, Nigeria Professional League has a pattern that two teams are always fighting for the title, I’m seeing teams like Rivers United Challenging for the title, I’m not considering Bendel Insurance as a team that can challenge for the title, they’re just teams that are going to finish somewhere within the League but not a relegation team, But I’m supporting Rivers United to wins the League this season, they’ve finished runners up in the last two seasons.

The stupid thing I found about this club is that it's is deteriorating at a faster rate. The club management are not doing anything reasonable to revive the club. I even thought that it was a good move from the Abia government for employing Nwankwo Kanu as the club chairman, I was expecting him to bring the experience he had while he was still in Europe,to build this club. But I was left disappointed. I think it's until they relegate to NNL before their eyes will open.  Enyimba should've being the engine in our league, carrying the Nigerian football name higher. If we had a club dominating the league with good sporting facilities and projects, other clubs in the league will try to imitate from them . But now, no club in Nigeria league can even boost of being good.

Tslking about the good experience of the club, it is not the government that made it to be so but it is because they hsd good players that are united to give a good result,  they played the game with zeal and to have fun. Government dont really care about clubs here and that is why they dont invest in it by developing good facilities and encouraging the players with good pay. If we are talking about bad stadium it shouldn't be a surprise as if it is a problem of today because it has always been a problem for alia state.

I think that what is happening to Eyimba, is nothing than bad management which is lack of accountability. Because when we talk about the Nigerian football league Eyimba is the team to beat. As they were playing in  the contintent almost every season and was also selling player's to European clubs before. But a time came when quality was abandone and monies that were coming to the club, as a result of the teams participation in CAF competition and selling of player's were not accounted for properly. A situation where player's will be sacked from the club all these contributed in what we are seeing from Eyimba the best team as far as the Nigerian league is concerned.

You wouldn't blame certain gamblers for behaving that way, they may be looking at the league from the perspective of their experience and couple with the fact that there were some irregularities in the league before,  where we get to witness violence amongst fans and sometimes against players,  so all of that put together can make some gamblers jump into conclusions too quickly without a second taught, except they give a chance to experience the league again in its new shapwe and form, maybe their perspective will change.

For you, the experience has been different and that is why you sound like you can not relate with the jumping into conclusions by some other gamblers. I believe if you have had similar experience at a time or during your early days of gambling on the NPFL, you would have built a bias probably similar in that line of taught and jump into conclusions quickly about your expectations of the teams and rhe league generally.

The question is if the state would be willing to overhaul the club because for people that took this league serious they would have done it before it has gotten this bad, they were not the only state football club who has the same problem, Rivers United are also having some issues in the club but no matter how it has been the management still maintains there functions to the club and is also the same thing with Enugu Rangers but when you look at them they're still very competitive but Eyimba problem has become something that even there players are out of form. Eyimba only have few match to make there next league appearance possible starting from Katsina United match tomorrow because losing will start putting them on the bottom table.

Last season when the Ranger International FC won the league trophy it was Rivers United that finished in the second place with just a 1 point difference was what Rangers international used in getting ahead of Rivers United. Why am stating this obvious reminder is because we might see the previous season repeating itself with the challenge continuing with these two teams again. As a Rivers United fan, I would be glad they win the league trophy this season and not Rangers winning it consecutively as that would be another record set

Rivers United winning the NPFL with their performance that someone can't give 100% to, that they will win their next match. They are being lucky anyway to have no loss match yet, if not a win or a draw at least. I hope they get improved than they have because draws in important matches can't take them near the NPFL trophy.

This was similar to how they began with their games in the previously finished season that saw Enugu Rangers to the title and it is about repeating only to wake from their slumber to pick a good form when the league matches have already gone afar.

Struggling with games to win or fall onto for a draw when their big rival Rangers are making a good performance as title defenders, just making me feel that Rangers may defend the title.

Today, Katsina United hosts Enyimba by 17:30. Ordinarily I would've given it to Katsina United to win if I'm judging plainly from position on the table and W/D/L, but knowing that Enyimba has won their last 2 matches comfortably makes me think they're waking up, so it might be a battle between the 2 teams. What do you think about the match? I'm thinking on staking on local league again after avoiding it for a long time.
