I think most people actually underrated the African country, I think it’s now time for some respect. People who are seriously surprised about this performance by Cape Verde are actually those who haven’t looked at the progress of this nation in football. He was all that stood between Cape Verde and an obvious defeat. If anyone had told me otherwise that, Spain wasn’t going to get a win or goals out of this people, I would have bet all I have on it. Good thing I didn’t get the chance to take a bet on them because, I would have obviously lost that bet. Cape Verde goalie was excellent and he had a very cute time wasting approach when he makes the saves. He just drops the ball to the floor for a while and picks it right back up again and he kept doing that over and over even before it was 55minutes of game play. He knew there was no beating Spain and the best they could have hoped for was a draw. They got that and it is a win for them.

Well, I never would have guessed this would happen two games in a row. And now, in the current match between Saudi Arabia and Uruguay, the same thing is happening.

In the first half, I actually thought Saudi Arabia was playing better than Uruguay. i think many teams have completely transformed since the last World Cup. Saudi Arabia has improved rapidly because their league has also improved rapidly. The Saudi Arabian government’s investment in soccer is really paying off. I don't know what the F**k is going on... All of big team except Germany are losing or draw against ordinary team although fans are pretty optimistic about them but still they are making them too distracted by not winning the match. I mean Netherlands, Spain, Brasil, Belgium all were too favorite for victory but unfortunately no one able to win the match.....

I think it’s only right that we give it to the goalkeeper you know, he was just amazing against Spain today. Every save he made was a very difficult one but, he had his eyes on the ball every time, I was standing in the right place and have quick reflexes to get his hands on the ball well enough to keep it away from going in. If not for him, Spain would have found many chances to score as beating the defense proves to be no trouble for them. Yes, I also didn't expect Spain to have difficulty winning in their first match. Because basically what made me not expect it was their opponent, Cape Verde, not a country with good performance at all. But Spain really struggled in this match. I think maybe it was caused by Spain not playing their mainstay players from the first minute of the match, because in this match players like Yamal, Olmo, and Nico were not played directly, so maybe that was the main trigger why Spain struggled in this match.

Because I really believe that if Spain had played their main players from the first half, I'm sure Spain would have won. But unfortunately Spain seemed to underestimate Cape Verde and finally they had to swallow a draw. But fortunately, currently in Group H all matches ended in a draw and that gives a breath of fresh air to Spain, because currently all teams have the same points. It is absolute insanity someone would even bet that huge amount of money in favor of Spain when the Spanish team still had about ten percent of chances to lose against Cape Verde.
I I have already seen several people on Instagram, who happen to be bettors, who are bitterly lamenting their choice to go all in favor of Spain.

It only shows one cannot be greedy and chase low odds which appear to be obvious wins during this world cup.

Also, the way Cape Verde manage to stop all those seven goals from Spain was quite outstanding. The defense of that team is very good... Let us see if they can keep up that defense in the long term during this tournament.

Cape Verde made the surprise of the day and maybe the World Cup until now by defying Spain and making them lose two points. An applause for their goalkeeper and good luck for them in the upcoming matches.
As for the African teams, yeah until now they are doing fine except Tunisia which sacked their coach but it is still early to judge.
As for the other games played until now, Uruguay and Belgium weren't impressive at all. Belgium precisely was down and an own goal saved them. New Zealand is leading with a goal against Iran since the first minutes of the match.

This edition of the world cup is turning out to be a nightmare for the UEFA and CONMEBOL teams. Look at the results in the last 24 hours. Uruguay conceded a draw against Saudi Arabia, while Belgium and Spain were also held to draws by Egypt and Cape Verde respectively. And the Iran vs New Zealand match is turning out to be a very entertaining one so far (both the teams are tied at 1-1 at the moment). European fans will be the ones who are most disappointed. And it's has ended in a draw at halftime  between  the Iran vs New Zealand, the first half  was quite  interesting  with an early  goal  from Elijah just, at 7min away from the kick off time for the New Zealand  team before it was equalized by Rezaeian at the 32 min, the bookies  have probably  picked  Iran to be the favorite  to win the match, but the game play doesn't  seem so, the New Zealand  team obviously has been the better  side from the first half played. They have had more attacks and gain more possession  than  the Iran  team.
However  Iran team looks  dangerous  with the set peice which  they even had an offside  goal  from one towards the end of the first half. The game is still open but  if I'm to place a bet from the  second to be played, I'll  bet on New Zealand  to win at 4odds instead  of Iran at 2 odds. I'm not up to date with both of their players, but in paper Spain is still the stronger one without the players you mentioned right? In paper they should be able to beat them. Then again, you get result like this every now and then, which is why the sport can be interesting at times. I don't think Spain would be satisfied with the result tbh.
