I am very confident about the match that France will destroy Senegal in a very big way. I don't understand why France is performing like this, they have great strong players on the field, but they can't create any shot, they don't have any aggressive play, I don't see any attempt to create goal scoring chances in them, they haven't attacked at all so far. They can't do anything like I expected them to perform, despite having so many great players, I don't see any great performance in their game. Both teams are equal in terms of ball possession, overall France really let everyone down in the first half, Senegal tried to attack better instead of France, I don't know if there will be any change in France's performance in the second half.

In a match shy of direct chances at goal Sarr missed a really big chance just at the end of the game. When I saw the jerseys it reminds me of the world cup where Senegal caused one of the biggest upset in that time by beaten France.

Senegal have had far better chances than France and could have easily being leading this game right into the first half. What’s more surprising is him having to miss right in front of goal, he couldn’t even get the ball on target but, sent it flying over the cross bar. If those kind of chances is presented to France, I doubt Senegal would have a way back into the game. Senegal have played well so far though, they’ve being able to ensure France isn’t totally controlling the whole game.

Ismaila supposed to be subbed away because that dude is missing golden chances and good passing opportunities. He started by throwing away a beautiful chance of a good crossing and later missed  a goal in front of post. Senegal defense is tight, they are holding Mbappe down like Mbappe is a small child. From statistics I have seen, it seems most of the games in this FIFA world cup when it comes to the first half play have been very boring and that's why many of the games have ended in a draw and this same France vs senegal is no exception, I mean the game was so bad that I got bored watching the game at first half because the tempo of the match wasn't that lively but the second half indeed have been different so far.

France finally did it through Mbappé brilliant run into the 18 box and was immediately located by Olise. I really expected this goal long ago from the first half but France didn't find their feet then. I now believe that after this one goal, more goals will likely be witnessed in this match. Infact, Jackson did score an offside goal just immediately after Mbappé 's goal.
They are now in hydration break, let's see what the remaining second half will produce.

Kylian mbappe has already registered his name amongst the goal scorers in the competition already as france has already taken the lead which they have earned though in this second half because they have stepped up and changed their gameplay compared to the way they were performing in the first half.

You are right, I agree with you. To be honest, I think this is one of the first big surprises of this World Cup so far. Although they are not very popular as an African country, they have shown their strength in the world by sharing points with Spain. Cape Verde's sharing of points against a strong team like Spain is a testament to their discipline, organized defense and mental toughness. If the finishing is not good, even 75% possession is not enough to win. Any team that goes after Cape Verde will have to come up with a new plan.

I don't think anyone expected this result from Cape Verde, they qualified for the World cup for the first time, and held the tournament favorites to a point in their first match. The shocking thing is that they are not even dominant or well known in Africa, yet they produce such result. Credits should also be giving to the goal keeper for such outstanding performance, made important saves to secure a point for his nation.

I think questions should also be asked about Spain's performance, they didn't play by their standards, they wasted alot of their attacking chances and finally drew. This is not want I expected from the tournament's favorite, they will need to put more effort too in their attack.
If Cape Verde make it out of the group stage, I don't think their defensive tactics will help them in the next stage.

Both games in group H ended up with surprises.
Uruguay, despite being a strong favourite only managed to earn one point on Saudi Arabia in the game that ended with a 1-1 draw. A fair result it was not. Uruguay were the dominating side and made a total of 27 shots on goal (compared to Saudi Arabia's 7) but football is not always fair.
And of course, we had the biggest upset of the day after Spain delivered a disappointing goalless draw against Cape Verde. The African team was pushed into defence, but they survived and they surely considered the result as a success.

Generally speaking, I think we (and the bookies) might have underestimated the Middle East teams. So far, Qatar, Iraq, Iran, Egypt and Saudi Arabia all earned a point each in games against higher-rated teams. We'll see if the trend continues with Jordan, who plays against Austria tomorrow.

Bradley Barcola scored again to make it 2-0, a nice win for France. After the first half, I was almost thinking the match will follow the direction of Spain vs Cape Vade that ended in goalless. I expected Senegal to get a goal in the match because they have a very good team and have earned a big name as the African champion. Getting a goal in this match was is an honorable thing to do as a team that have both the quality of players and the team.

Jackson is just so clueless not to utilize those chances and put his team ahead, now France has scored 2 goals which came from Kylian Mbappe and Bradley Barcola and the match is almost nearing full-time. Senegal is not as professional as Morocco if not they could have earned a draw in this match or even win France but they missed all their opportunities to score. The numbers of shot on target from France is enough reason why they won this match, if Senegal had fired more shots on targets it would have helped them score but they were just playing as if they don't know they are playing against a team that has a better quality squad than them.

Barcola made an instant impact by scoring a goal just two minutes after he was substituted in and that’s very impressive performance.

I’d actually thought Senegal might score atleast a goal in this game from the performance they displayed in the first half but France got a good second half so far. Mbappe got his penalty canceled and then scored the first goal just six minutes after.

I think it will be a different result because France are leading by a goal against Senegal. Although there's a big chance for Senegal to come back in the game, both teams are playing very well. Yes, I think this year's World Cup tournament is different from other years because yesterday was full of draws, the most surprising one was Spain. It was truly surprising, bettors where much confident that Spain would win the game but it ended goaless.

It has long been known that Senegal will not be able to win against France, especially since Senegal is not able to compete with the team that was the runner-up in the last World Cup, but Jackson had more than 5 chances but could not take advantage of any of them. However, in the 68th minute of the game, he himself had a kick in the net but it was offside. Even then, he had multiple chances but could not take advantage of them, so today's match was only due to a few failed attempts by Jackson, and Senegal lost 2-0.
