Three goals to one is not bad at all!

I think someone had finally talked senses to those guys with the rubbish they performed in the first half. The second half is both apprehensive and intriguing, and by not spoiling tickets again, like Spain, many people would be relieved by now. Nice goals from Mbappe for opening the scoring for more luck and for returning back almost immediately the goal from Mbaye. This is what I'm talking about.

Mbappe was so bad in the first half and it was disappointing to watch him play that way because normally he is the one who gets the fans and viewers excited, but the second half was simply world class again. His sprints are alien, he is not a human when he accelerates. But no matter which player you take from the French team, it is unbelievable how unlimited the pool of talent is that they have. They bring on Barcola and he probably not much slower than Mbappe and does exactly what France is known best for. Great goals.

But I have to say one more thing, Senegal was sensational and they could have taken a two goal lead in the first half. They hit the bar and it was almost in and then the last minute chance in the first half when the striker has to, absolutely without a doubt has to score that goal. On another day it could be 2-0 for Senegal at halftime and they did so well all the time, calm and controlled. Of course you can't defend everything against France, but that is why it so important to be efficient with your chances. Both are great teams and I think it was the best match so far.

 Norway are leading at the break but I must say that Iraq also gave as good as they got. Intense action from the beginning of the game till when the first half ended. In this tournament, no team wants to give their opponents breathing space and I've noticed that smaller teams have enough confidence and are not ready to sit back and allow themselves get trampled by the bigger teams.

If Senagal loses this match tonight, there is no one they have to blame other than Jackson. He has had 2 - 3 beautiful chances, and he wouldn't even shoot on target. There is one particular opportunity right before half-time where he just sent the ball over the bar.

We all know from his time in Chelsea that, Jackson is one person that finds it really difficult to get the ball into the net. Personally, I feel he did perform well today except for the missed chances. He was finding himself in good positions, having a good control of the ball and end up shooting off target. The only time he managed to get the ball into the net, it was ruled out for an offside.
France was always going to beat Senegal but, it was just a matter of time and their time came in the second half.

Jacksons only problem was goal scoring, he never finds it easy to score goals but if you know him well from Chelsea you will know Jackson is a player that always stress defenders and run in behind them. I think it's his strongest quality as a striker and it would have been better if he is clinical in front of goal.

Jackson for real did well in this game, he played very well but it would have been a perfect night if he had found the back of the net.
I'm very impressed with his performance today. France was actually the favorites but they had a slow start, the first half wasn't really impressive until the second half. They need to improve their game as soon as possible.

France is not messing around. They showed no mercy to their fellow African team and got a comfy 3-1 win.
Senegal played a surprisingly good first half and they were very close of taking the lead. They had at least two very good chances, but they couldn't find a way to the net and paid for that in the second half.

This year's world cup is becoming something else, when you think a particular country is doing the best to win the game all of a sudden 6ou will see them conceding goals. Senegal was dominating the game in the first half I almost thought 5hst they were going to in over France but the second half changed everything France became too strong, they allowed Senegal to hold the bal a little but once they take the ball from them the next you would see is canter attack. 3:1 is the final score we must admit that Mbappe and his fellow country men came very ready and their first game says it all.

I actually expected Spain to win, but after the first half I went to bet draw lol.
And Spain surprised me with a win, I had lots of hope for Senegal to equalise but they didn't, regardless I know it was a bad bet but emotions got a hang of me. I expect draws from a lot of this world cup, but not for a France match or any other strong country.

So far I've watched 3 matches of this World Cup. I watched the entire Brazil vs Morocco match, and the second half of Spain vs cabo verde, which this one impressive me, BTW cabo verde making their World Cup debut and putting pressure on a European giant, one of the favorites in this cup. Will there be another upset like in 2022?

I watched the second half of France vs Senegal on the gym's big screen. I watched a bit while doing my cardio. I thought it would end in a draw, but as soon as France scored the first goal, Senegal started to apply more pressure, but unfortunately for them, they couldn't prevent France's inevitable victory.

I don't think my team, brazil, will have a good cup, but I hope to see some interesting goals and at most reach the round of 16 or quarterfinals, just like basically every word cup since 2006, we don't have players as good as we did from '94 to 2006...

As I follow some matches, I'll stay tuned to this thread and share unique moments. My friends @criptoevangelista and @rdluffy what do you think of brazil and the matchs so far?

I'm not very optimistic about brazil. I think if brazil faces a European giant like France or Spain... I think they'll concede a lot of goals, unless Endrick and Neymar are starters in a possible match like that, which could mitigate the damage... I don't know guys, that's just my feeling, brazil was very lucky not to have faced a European giant on 2022.

Yes they actually performed very poorly in the first half, in facts to the extent that I didn't even expecting that France could be able to meet up anymore, because thier first half was so annoying, despite they touches the Senegal in both first half throughout I was still having a little doubt that they may ended the mat h as draw, but I love the incredible performance I saw at the second half. Although I actually predicted that France could defeat them easily, but at the same time, I knew Senegal will also try thier best to at least have a  goals records. How the results was well impressive and I was impressed with thier performance and hard working, well played to France on thos great achievement, I must thump up for Mbappe first his great weldone job.

It is true that France performed very poor in the first half, but we should also talk about Senegal who failed to convert any of their chances in the first half, they had a few chances to take the lead, because France struggled to find their feet. Coming into the second half, France became organized, and had more possession of the ball.  

Surprisingly, Mbappe (Mr World cup) made his presence felt after giving France the held, as if that wasn't enough, he scored a banger to confirm their win. This clearly shows why he is one of the best players in the world. Credits should also be given to Olise for the wonderful assist he gave to Mbappe, although Olise struggled to get into the game, but he finally did in the second half. The victory of the Norway team is confirmed, because they have performed quite aggressively from the beginning. The problem is that Iraq was never playing with such high intensity. They lost their grip at the 2nd half due to lack of energy. It is also the reason they're completely lost rest of game. They lost energy because they have used it all during the 1st half. It's getting worsen when they also fought a team with full of tall guys which being labeled of vikings. So this lose is truly acceptable.

Iraq actually didn't play badly for me, it's just that the difference in quality clearly distinguished the final result in this match. Haaland didn't disappoint and he's now one of the top scorers with 2 goals following Mbappe who also scored a brace in today's match.

This is what I expected and today's match was much more interesting than yesterday's. Now I look forward to Argentina's match against Algeria. In terms of conditions, Argentina is the favorite but I expect a lot from Algeria in this match to surprise although it will definitely not be easy.

Algeria's players are partly playing in European domestic competitions and this will make their quality look a little better although when compared to Argentina's players they are still inferior but I think there will be an interesting fight from Algeria in this match.

Teams have their limitations, so it would be unfair to expect too much from Iraq. Norway was a strong team and they were aggressive from the start of the match and scored the first goal. Iraq made several strong attacks but only managed to score one goal, but Haaland double goal and the other players' excellent performances allowed Norway to score four goals.

I thought Haaland would score a hat-trick but he missed several chances. The result of the match was as expected and the number of goals was in line with their performance.

I am very excited about the outcome of the Argentina vs. Algeria match. I think Argentina are the favourite to win.
