Since England decided to take chances on the second half I was hoping for them to go back to 4:4 so that they would start over again since England felt like you already won after the first half but Thomas Tuchel changes brought more strength into the England team, the penalty that was converted by Saka and the last goal that was scored by Jude Bellingham changed everything and gave England the smooth ride. Best 3rd place I have experienced so far good game from both sides.

The way the game turned out I think it’s fully justified the noise around that this was definitely a useless or meaningless game to be played. It’s just a period for players to actually register goals most especially those players that are eying the golden boot like Mbappe in a less competitive game, right now with two goals and assists Messi will need to match such stats too to actually be able to get the golden boot away from him.

Many people were expecting Messi to go home with both the golden ball and golden boot award for the MVP of the tournament and highest goal scorer respectively plus potentially the World Cup.

France has scored 2 goals immediately after returning for the second half in less than 10 minutes and the score is currently at 2:4, are we going to see a 4:4 full-time result? Well what is interesting is that Kylian Mbappe has scored his 9th goal of the tournament and also made an assist that helped Bradley Barcola to score which means that if Kylian Mbappe scores another goal now he will be the most likely favourite to win the golden boot.

I was hoping we are going to see 4-4 at full time when Kylian Mbappé scored his second goal against England, but Gusto fouling Spence in his 18 yard box and committing a penalty when France was searching for an equalizer gave England a chance to increase their lead by two goals and denied France a chance of bringing the match on level terms, although France scored a fourth goal in extra time to bring the score to 4-5, as they were trying to push for another goal, England had a counter attack which they utilized and scored their sixth goal to which they finally win the match 4-6. Even though as France couldn't win England, I'm delighted Mbappe scored two goals to be at the of this World Cup top scorer chart and also becoming the new all time top scorer in the World Cup with 22 goals.

Honestly, this is the most entertaining and interesting match because I didn't expect the score to be this big. A Total of 10 goals were scored and the first half as if it had already been completed which makes me think France do not intend to play. But in the second half almost goals continued to be created from both teams, France almost caught up. I think if in the first half France had been more aggressive then the result could have been different.

Yes, this match did feel very empty, because I feel the players from both countries did not seem very enthusiastic in this match, especially France. Because in the first half, the French players seemed very resigned in this match, so that's why they conceded four goals in the first half. Because what I saw was that the French defenders were also not very tight in maintaining their defense.

So that's why the English players were able to easily break through their goal. So this match may be just for entertainment, because here the ambitions and dreams of both countries are clearly crushed. So playing for third place certainly does not mean much to them. It was quite a weird Match, in the sense those people seemed not to care about having a good enough defense. Both teams were more worried with having a good offense and score as fast and as many goals as possible. The fact they both scored such huge number of goals, certainly reveal they were not playing as seriously as they would have if they had reached the final match.
It seems team take their defense more seriously when they are in a match which could actually take them to claim the world cup for themselves. Since this is not the case, they went for a huge offensive and null defense.

I also had that perception, but they hid it very well. It's incredible that France showed what they were capable of after the second half, but there were 5 minutes where they did nothing and Olise also stopped scoring goals. That match should have ended in a draw. Besides, they no longer see the third-place prize as something good, but as a consolation prize that doesn't have much importance, which is why they played like that.

His been jokingly called a dictator and here they generated an image of him with the attire, Mbappe is young and still has 2 or more world cups to come that he will participate in if his fully fit,which means Mbappe could beat his own records as he continues to play in the competition. Mbappe has played a total of 22 world cup games and also scored 22 goals which makes him the current highest ever goal scorer I'm the competition after both he and Messi broke the previous record of 14 goals held by Klose. But indeed 10 goals certainly gave some pleasure to this match although I was a little upset when France didn't get the win because I was on the French side for the betting.

I think the key was that, in reality, playing for third and fourth place is like playing for nothing. England looked much more cautious in their match against Argentina, and that’s why they messed up and ended up losing. If, instead of being a third-place play-off, this had been a semi-final or the final, there’s no way there would have been a result with so many goals.

I could watch only the highlights (match was at 2:30am Indian time, and I had to skip it as I need to be with my relative at hospital). 10 goals in a match sounds odd. And that too, in a match between two of the top-5 teams. I expected France to get a consolation win, but that never happened. France has some of the best players in the world, and as individuals they perform really well. But it was England who had better team co-ordination. BTW, the final looks interesting. This time, it is almost impossible to predict. Everyone is giving better odds to Spain, but I have placed a bet in favor of Argentina.
