Thomas Tuchel in my opinion really made a poor decision in that semi final match against Argentina, from his defensive approach of the game, when the time was approaching 80 minutes and he removed Declan Rice, he was supposed to introduce fresh legs into the game of which he did but we're all defenders, only if he had given a midfielder like Mainoo, his a real promising kid that I think should have been given a chance to play, we have seen what his done in the reviving of Manchester United after Carrick took over, I believe he would have contributed his own part to the success of the team if he was given the chance. It was quite a weird Match, in the sense those people seemed not to care about having a good enough defense. Both teams were more worried with having a good offense and score as fast and as many goals as possible. The fact they both scored such huge number of goals, certainly reveal they were not playing as seriously as they would have if they had reached the final match.
It seems team take their defense more seriously when they are in a match which could actually take them to claim the world cup for themselves. Since this is not the case, they went for a huge offensive and null defense.

Getting the golden boot doesn't matter much to Messi's overall achievement. A player can't be the best just by scoring goals. Messi plays well for everyone on the team as well as himself. In terms of goals it's no benchmark even Mbappe who has scored 10 goals, couldn't reach the final. Yamal may have only scored once in this World Cup, but that doesn't mean he's insignificant in the Spanish squad. In fact, Yamal is the most influential player in Spain's current squad. He can't be guarded by one player, and that's certainly what allows Spain to score goals. Furthermore, Yamal is also the player who has successfully completed 20+ successful dribbles in the World Cup, and he's been the driving force behind Spain's current form.

I have a feeling Spain will win tonight. Not because Argentina is bad, or even because Messi is finished. Quite the opposite. Messi has nothing left to prove, he's already achieved everything. Therefore, I feel this final isn't about "Messi must win." It's about the birth of a new era. Moreover, Spain comes with a fresher, hungrier squad and in my opinion, they've played their most consistently throughout the tournament. If Yamal lifts the trophy at the age of 19, people will always remember this final as the night the baton was passed. It could be said that Yamal has a chance to win the World Cup at 19, having previously won the European Championship at 16.
