As far as I can see, Argentina didn't take the field to play football. They played a rough game and showed no intention of attacking. Regulation time ended 0–0; we are currently in the first half of extra time, and Argentina hasn't had a single shot on target. I hope Argentina doesn't become champion via a penalty shootout after such poor, disgraceful football. Enzo Fernández was sent off for a second yellow card, even though Paredes should have been the one sent off. I’ve watched many finals, but I can say this is the worst one.

In my opinion, they might as well hand the trophy to Argentina already. Can someone explain to me where the foul was on Spain's disallowed goal? We're watching an unbelievable match. I've never seen Argentina receive this much support. Spain look like they're playing against both the referee and Argentina. It feels like everything is being done to prevent Argentina from conceding. At this rate, I think this match is heading for a penalty shootout.
I think those who govern football also want this match to go to penalties. For Argentina, winning the cup on penalties is the only option. However, if Spain loses this match after dominating it so much, it will be an unforgettable final for them. Because Spain completely dominated the match from start to finish. Argentina could still win if the match goes to penalties. However, after 120 minutes, Spain has a better chance of winning, and the first 15 minutes are over with no goals scored.

Argentina is showing the worst performance in this World Cup. They did not make a single shot in the entire time, which will be an exception in the history of football. But no one expected such a final match from the last World Cup winner. And already, Argentina's most important player Fernandez received a red card due to two yellow cards and one red card. The match went into extra time, but Argentina was under even more pressure because they were down to 10 men. In my opinion, Emiliano and Martinez are playing at their best in today's match.

Lamine Yamal had the chance to give Spain the lead, which means those who govern don't really have a say. If Yamal takes the opportunity early in the first half, this is a different match, but you could feel that both were nervous. Penalties is a fun ending when the match before was fun, too. But this match wasn't all that much fun. It had long boring parts in it. Argentina's red card was beyond stupid. One because he complained in the middle of the pitch and the other because he fouled in the middle of the pitch. What a disservice to his team.

It's full time and still 0-0 as nothing seems to separate the both teams they will be going into an extra time, Argentina is already with 10 men now and this is going to increase the pressure in them more. Argentina goal keeper made a good save in the last minute of the second half a free kick played by Yamal almost ended the game before this extra time but the goal keeper says no.
It’s a tough one today! I have still have believe that Argentina might go home with the cup even though they preformed bad in terms of possession and control over the pitch but they can still go home with the cup but if they don’t Spain takes it and then it leaves Yamal to be born today again. This whole coincidence is one if the craziest I’ve ever seen.

Argentina hasn't had a single shot on goal so far, yes, but 105 minutes have passed and they haven't conceded a goal either. It's not accurate to say Argentina is playing badly; strategy works like that. So far, they've been successful. However, as we entered the last 15 minutes, Spain managed to score quickly. This is an incredible match, and Spain will probably win as they deserve

Looking at the performance of Argentina in this second half, they look like they are pressured, they are playing with hopes of getting some lucky chances that they may use to secure the ball behind the Spanish net but then Spain does not seem like they will give them they chance.
This is one of the toughest games Argentina have played in this World Cup, they are playing against a team that can be said to be their equal and so it is not looking like it will be like one of those games where they dominant in the last minute and win their opponent. I see them complaining a lot to the Ref about their opponent, I just hope they focus on how to win than their opponents performances.

Finally Spain is able to make a goal score and Argentina are heading to absolute confusion for the remaining time of the match, Messi is putting in all his best to make something happen for his team and to take home the golded Boot, but Spain are more tactical not to allow anything close to their net. Spain 1 Argentina 0.

Finally, Spain scored. Although Spain dominated possession throughout the match, Argentina's defense and goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez's incredible saves kept the Albiceleste in the game, However the real drama of the match began in the 93 minute when Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernandez was sent off after receiving a red card, reducing Argentina to 10 men. Spain finally got the advantage of playing with one more player and their tireless attack. At the beginning of the second half of extra time, in the 106th minute, substitute Ferran Torres scored a brilliant goal to give Spain a 1-0 lead. At this moment ,Spain held the lead in the match and came very close to winning the world cup.

Furthermore, had Enzo Fernández not got a red card late in the second half, I believe Argentina could have held out for a draw through the second period of extra time & taken the match to penalties. All Spain needs to do now is hold onto the score, I think they are already champions at this point, congratulations to them!

They scored a goal and are now trying to score a second.

No doubts I want Spain to win or anyone because I love both teams but then let’s not be too fast to say they are champions already. Maybe the coincidence that has been trending about Messi and yamal is about to be sealed through Messi lossing the the kid he bathed during charity and making the kid his successor. I can’t believe it’s becoming a story and not conspiracy any more.

Congratulations to Spain winning the World Cup 2026! That victory was well merited after a lot of efforts and doubts about their performance before the start of the tournament. Myself voted for Argentina to win but changed my mind and supported Spain for being the champions. I don't regret that. Thanks Torres for your goal and Williams for the assist

When they where eleven player I wasn't seeing the Argentina effect at all in the match, is it when they are now with ten men they would do something. Enzo is just a fat big disappointment to his country, you knew you had red card but you was still playing a rough game, what the fuck was even going through your mind. You are a key player just calm the fuck down and play a normal game. Now he has seen the effect of his roughness, and because of that he has made Spain to score. That red card will hunt him for the next four years.

Big congratulations to Spain on their championship! It is absolutely a completely deserved title to be honest. They controlled the match the most and finally managed to score in extra time. Regular time was really boring though compared to the 2022 World Cup final. Tension was really high from time to time. Spain answered Argentina well about that. The red card was also clearly correct.

Spain toyed with Argentina like a cat playing with a mouse and lifted the trophy. Spain defeated not only Argentina, but also the referee and FIFA itself to win the World Cup. They fully deserved it right to the very end. I truly congratulate them, winning against so many forces stacked against them is truly remarkable. Argentina was utterly humiliated tonight, unable to do anything despite all the backing they received. In my view, the summary of this World Cup is that Argentina was supported to the very end.

Spain was really better in this match and they showed their quality and really deserved the title. Argentina just parked the bus and once they conceded they started attacking, its like that Argentina needs to concede a goal to start attacking and playing football. Spain now won Euros and World cup and got combined titles now and that is really incredible and that is really rare. Only sad thing is that Messi didnt win his second world cup and now he has two world cups that he lost but still has one world cup title.
