Spain definitely deserved it! The only criticism I can have on them is that they scored the goal quite late man... Argentina fully concentrated on defending of course. They didn't even have a single shot in regular time. Argentina focused on defense that was the reason why Spain couldn’t get a goal easily in the match, but Spain completely dominated the match, and before the extra time of the match ended, they were able to get a goal. Argentina surprised me in the match, because they didn’t perform well in the match, how will you play 90 minutes without even getting any shot, thats really a bad one from a team like Argentina, I expected a better performance from them, but they didn’t play well. Spain really deserves to get a win in the match, because they played better. Argentina totally disappointed me. Just like you said, not having a single shot in 90 minutes is really embarrassing. Their helplessness was obvious when Enzo Fernandez got a red card. All in all, the tournament wasn't bad. I expected more from France, Portugal, and even Brazil. Still, we won't be watching Messi, Ronaldo, and Neymar anymore...An era has come to an end.

Argentina disappointed everyone with there game in the final. Spain completely dominated the game and were able to score a goal in 106 minute of the game. Argentina were forced to play the extra time with 10 man because Enzo Fernandez was shown red card in 90+3 minute. It was final and Enzo Fernandez should be careful but Argentina suffered because of his casual attitude in the game. It was an end of era as its was also Messi last game of FIFA world cup.

What was even more obvious happened at the end of the match when some Argentine players did not respect Spain where Paredes who was emotional and even seen slamming Gavi, Molina who hit Rodri while celebrating the victory and maybe there were many things that were not caught on camera but should be with this status if the Argentine players did not get any sanctions especially in the previous match there was a political issue this would be outrageous. The World Cup is over but the sanctions should still apply because this is a form that I consider to be unhealthy in a sport that we know this is fairplay that has always been the motto. It's the most chaotic World Cup I've seen not just about controversy for some teams but also for the USA as the organizer.

i've watched every World Cup and European Championship since 2002. this might be the most one sided final i've ever seen in my life, because Argentina hasn't even taken a single shot on goal nor created a single play to get us excited...

When i watched Spain versus France match, i knew that Argentina will find it difficult against Spain because Spain can be defensive and attacking at same time and with the fact that Argentina doesn't have a solid defense is another problem and it was obvious because imagine all that shots that Spain strike at Argentina's goalie. Spain didn't even give Argentina the opportunity to get a shot on target and i think that was the reason why Argentina players became aggressive. I expected Enzo Fernandez to get that red card because his aggressiveness was very visible but i was just mad at Scaloni for not seeing that and substitute him earlier. Playing with 10 men in the extra time was quite challenging for Argentina because they were trying to manage the situation but all they could achieve was just to defend as they weren't attacking anymore until Spain scored, that was when Argentina players began to attack. The three players you mentioned are memorable trio that will take many years before their name will disappear, especially Ronaldo and Messi.

England would have done a better job to push Spain than what Argentina played yesterday. I didn't understand the essence that of the aggressiveness, Spain never have a single yellow card in that match but Argentina had everything shade among its played with Enzo Fernandez that got 1 red card. The match was not organized but Spain did played like a team that was ready to play the final game, honestly I was disappointed in the way they played. Messi was one of the worst that got me thinking that he did sold his team out in that match that's why I wasn't buying his cry that day, he was busy doing nothing, I expected him to play like he did in other match, like Spain was not playing them like Cape Verde but they outsmart the team and won but Spain is where they draw the line, I was not prepared for that their game.

Even though the match ( winning the third place) is not as important as the main trophy at least they would have try win to go home with a medal instead of finishing the whole matches without something to show forth well that is their business. Did you noticed that at some point Thomas Tuchel wanted to try the strategy that made Argentina removed them and that was why France was able to score those goals on the second because if not for that they would not have scored those goals.
These coaches, who are so experienced, shouldn't copy or try strategies they haven't used before. I think that experimenting in a World Cup is frowned upon, because they are solely responsible for the painful defeat they suffered. This is something that repeats itself, and the pattern is always the same. There's nothing worse than putting something into practice that you haven't practiced. Besides, England is a team that has the ability to attack, that has everything to score more goals. The good thing is that they secured third place.

Argentina may have looked like they did not deserved to win and Spain played far better, there is no doubt about that, in fact Spain could have won by a lot more if it wasn't for Martinez. However, that is the whole system of Spain, they play with so many great passes and keeping possession and defending so well when they lose the ball that they make everyone look bad. They made France look bad as well, even though they were great.
There is a reason why England was third and Argentina beat them but looked terrible against Spain. The tactic of Spain is not to play great, it is to make sure other team doesn't play the way they normally do, so they make everyone step out of their comfort zone and look terrible, no idea how they do it, definitely beyond my ability to understand, but this Spain is one of the best teams I have ever seen.

Spain looked amazing in the semifinal and the final. This team managed to completely suppress Argentina in the final and imposed their style of play on France in the semifinal. But the quarterfinal was probably very tough for Spain—the Portuguese created chances in front of their goal multiple times, which their subsequent opponents couldn't boast of. Portugal were unlucky to concede at the very end of the match and could no longer bounce back. Who knows, if not for the tragic death of Diogo Jota, perhaps things would have turned out completely differently for Spain in that match, and Portugal would have reached the final. But football has no room for hypothetical scenarios, and Spain became the champion.

Spain really did Argentina dirty, like I thought I have seen it all in the final between Paris Saint Germain and Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League, and we were busy bantering Arsenal, but little did we know the worst is yet to come, like I'm totally disappointed on the full Argentina squad, like they had 0 shot 0 expected goals And 0 chance created A total embarrassment for a team like that of the Argentine team, it's even Leo Messi I'm feeling for, because no one is talking about the other players it's all about Messi and FIFA .

Messi was one of the worst that got me thinking that he did sold his team out in that match that's why I wasn't buying his cry that day, he was busy doing nothing, I expected him to play like he did in other match,
At this point, I feel like you guys are just looking for reasons to slander Messi. What exactly is going on? It's so funny to see. Aside from E. Martinez, Messi was the only Argentine player who tried to do anything. It was only when he held the ball that Argentina looked like they had hope. He literally dragged that team to the final from the very first game. So the only game he could not take his team over the finish line, you people are slandering him? Any other player will be praised for having the kind of tournament Messi had. I've seen people saying Mbappe deserves the Ballon d'Or simply because he scored 10 goals, even though he couldn't even get bronze, but Messi is being slandered. Bellingham is seen as one of the best players of the tournament, even though he didn't perform better than Messi, yet people are praising Bellingham and slandering Messi. I have never seen something like this in my life. The worst are Ronaldo fans who are laughing at Messi for losing two World Cup finals. Like, how dumb do people have to be to not think at all? They support a person who has never been able to take his team to a final, but slander a person who has taken his team to 3 finals and won 1 while being the best player in the tournament in 2. I can't understand it. It's insane. I'm seeing statements like "Ronaldo will never lose 2 World Cup finals". Really? Has the world gotten that dumb?

I can't believe Argentina did that badly in the final. They got completely neutralised by Spain. The red card is not much of an excuse as it was given in the stoppage time and they couldn't do much for the whole 90 minutes. Could it be that one extra resting day for Spain made that much difference? I don't think so, but it was one of the factors. The highest-rated Argentine player was their goalkeeper, Martinez. If not for him, Spain could've scored a few in the regular time. Not only have they lost, but Argentina also made themselves look like sore losers. They started a brawl after the game and spoiled Spain's celebration. Messi turned from hero to villain as the internet is talking about how he tried to abuse the moth-covering rule to get Spain's Cucurella sent off. Not the prettiest of the finals, but congrats to Spain. They deserved it.

Watching the final Argentina play in this World Cup, it seemed like they lost due to a bad strategy while playing against a local team like Spain, a strong team. I didn't know Argentina could play so badly before. Looking at their performance in the final, it seemed like FIFA might have given them a chance to play in the final and they couldn't reach the final because of their own ability. Really, if they had played like the game or performance they showed last night, they would have been eliminated in the knockout match. But Spain played brilliantly and they deserved it.
I don't know why some people are not praising Argentina for reached such hours in that game because Spain manage to secured that 1 goal that brought the trophy, because Argentina players experience many injuries in that final game before they allow Spain to beat them to lift the trophy despite they reached final. What Really surprised me in that final game is the defenders Argentina brought to play, because they displayed from the beginning before they discovered that Argentina players has reduced their strength to achieve the victory they want. For Argentina to reach this stage before Spain created opportunity that gave them the opportunity to use that hour's to secure goals show that they did well and they deserve plenty quality players, because raising young talented player is their focus this season.

Argentina's defeat yesterday was indeed unfortunate, because even though they performed so well throughout this tournament, Spain was still able to show their tactical prowess which made Argentina unable to break Spain's strategy which continued to play so consistently and aggressively throughout. but that's football, sometimes you have to accept that the better team on the day deserves to win, and Spain showed that they are the ones who deserve to win the World Cup this time.

I remembered when Spain manager picked 8 Barcelona players, they were alot of outrages from rival fans. But alot of people knew they were favorites. I still can't believe that Ferran Torres who was being mocked and blamed online after Cape Verde blunder will be the one go win the FIFA world cup for Spain. What an interesting journey for him.

There was literally no way Argentina could get one shot on target because of their style of play, they were being defensive from the get go, probably hoping to force attack when the game would be around 80 minutes of play, as they did between them and England and Egypt. If you watch well, they decided to push forward a little when Spain initially scored that goal, more like they wanted to come back into the game, but it was too late. Yeah it's really an of an era for Messi and Ronaldo, they've donating football discussion in last 20 years, it's time they both take a bow.

It was clear after the semi finals match between Spain and France where the Spanish team won France convincely and played very good, that Spain was the favorite going into this game. This game only show the difference in quality of the two teams.

If a team comes to a place like the final and performs like that, it's unacceptable for anyone. And Argentina didn't look like they were playing a final, let alone a World Cup final. Anyway, their performance in the match disappointed everyone, but yes, I agree with you that the saddest thing is that we've lost an era, I'll miss them from the next World Cup, The last dance.

Neymar would still never remain my world's best to the end…big heart for those guys they really made football a place to feel entertained, The reality of these guys is that I grew up watching them decide games for 15+ years, and now there is a saying that say whatever has a start would surely come to an end… it very sad that the GOATs are fading out, but also kind of beautiful moments we all got to see the full beautiful moments with Messi pulses his Gold, Silver, and Ronaldo had with him his 5 World Cups, Neymar carrying Brazil for a decade till date what a beautiful achievement they all got...

It happened just the way I wanted it to happened because i was against Argentina winning the world cup and there opponent was hard and that is why they were unable to win because the Argentina that we know would have find a way of winning but that single goal changed everything because after playing for how many minutes and there is no goals it was actually a very tough game and I also expected more from france but since it did not happen the way we wanted it then Argentina also did not win and that was enough for me and all this was because I did not want messi to just win the world cup again and since Ronaldo did not make it he will remain a goat in our hearts.
