OK guys.. hope that everyone was able to digest Spain winning the final and lifting the trophy. Can we now have a discussion about the 2030 edition?
Hopefully Trump will not be there. It was funny to watch how he held onto the prize as if it were he who deserved it rather than Spain. Regarding the number changes of possible teams involved in the competition, I'm not exactly mad about it because I'm afraid that this show will turn into a knockabout comedy. It looks like the current format that applies to it is matched to some extent to what the World Cup should be.

It's not out of place for people in Argentina to celebrate, they may have lost the world cup but they still out did themselves by going as far as the final, how many other countries wanted to pull off something like that and couldn't, how many countries are still to even get anywhere close to the final, they won the last one and still played this one to the very end of it, if that's not worth celebrating then I don't know what is.
It's call for a big celebration because Argentina was favored all the way to the semifinals. It was from that time, I knew that Argentina wouldn't be able to win the finals. Finishing on second position is call for celebration even though, this isn't the first time. Those celebrating are the ones that appreciate their players and understand what football is all about because they're lucky that they didn't clash with Spain till the finals. The world has always been in a favored of Agentina for long, even the recent one just started I began looking at the Argentina's groups members and how strongly they are to challenge them, they seems weak to me, if actually Argentina were the same group with either sapin or France from the beginning, I don't think they could even get to the semi-final stage. Though some African Americans countries didn't even played thsi world cup tournament as expected, some played it as if it was a friendly match. It was only Egypt and Morocco's performance that I was impressed on they really tried their best. Well Spain has set a big records in this season FIFA world cup final, by pressuring Argentina from starting to the end. Congratulations to them.

Since this thread isn't closed yet, I'll try to share my thoughts and emotions about the recent World Cup. I admit, I wasn't able to follow the tournament closely for a number of reasons, but I nevertheless thoroughly enjoyed the games themselves. I particularly liked the format of expanding the number of teams, even though it was criticized by many. However, I believe FIFA is moving in the right direction and needs to expand the number of teams. Furthermore, the real heroes of this tournament were the African teams, particularly Morocco. And Spain and Argentina, of course. The Argentinians were treated favorably, but that didn't help them win. Ultimately, the prize went to a deserving team.

Guys how's this? Got from twitter, the format for 2030 FIFA World Cup: The fixture is not actually bad in my own opinion but how possible it is that these will be the qualifying teams for the 2030 FIFA world cup, because most of the teams listed here are only fortunate to have made it to this year FIFA world while most of it worked so hard for it, so how sure are we that it's gonna be just as predicted, because even if some other countries in this post try to make their way through, I really doubt if Nigeria can, like those people are the most mysterious people I've ever seen as one of the African national team, like they've actually got the squad but always fails to utilize it.

Guys how's this? Got from twitter, the format for 2030 FIFA World Cup: This year's 48-nation World Cup was shit, and if they raise it up to 64, it will be more and more difficult to watch. I think in that case I will start watching only from the Round of 16 matches onward. For me, no other format will be better than the 32-team WC. And then this bullshit with 6 countries as hosts. Things are getting out of control real fast.

How? What was shitty about it .. giving more countries the chance to participate in the World Cup or just the fixture time ? You can’t watch every game, pick the ones you enjoy and watch it.. To me 48 countries is not that bad maybe a bit too much but at the end it’s all about the profit. What only make sense is that more countries are given chance to showcase talents too.

OK guys.. hope that everyone was able to digest Spain winning the final and lifting the trophy. Can we now have a discussion about the 2030 edition? I am quite excited, because Infantino hinted that the 2030 FIFA World Cup would be having a total of 64 teams. The 48-team format worked so fine, and therefore I guess the 64-team edition would be exciting as well. My only concern is about the CONCACAF region. The teams from that confederation (such as Haiti, Panama and Curaçao) were the weakest ones this time around. Even if the next world cup is played in a 64-team format, I would suggest that the number of spots from CONCACAF remains the same. Else we can have a combined Americas qualifier.
yeah. we watched two great World Cups in a row in 2022 and 2026. Let's see if this one can keep the streak going. Three top tier World Cups in a row is super rare but why not

The Argentine team had a special advantage but they were able to reach the final because of the special advantage. The competition in the final match was really bad, my question is that they have brought this performance to the final match, then they must have taken a special advantage with other teams and reached the final match. However, in this World Cup, Spain qualified and they proved it in the final by facing difficult teams, the final matches were so perfect that the Argentine team could not achieve their goals and they were zero in attack. However, I definitely like the fact that Lamine Yamal won the World Cup after participating in his first World Cup, winning the World Cup at such a young age is definitely a record. If he can maintain his performance later and improve his team performance even more, then they can create a possibility of winning the next World Cup.

This year's World Cup has now concluded, and—provided we are still alive—we will see the tournament again in four years. However, four years is a very long time; I might not be young anymore by then, and while we don't know who the future champion will be, one thing is certain: I am already looking forward to the next world Cup
In my opinion Spain winning the title is a good thing; if Argentina had won again, it wouldn't have been as exciting, given that they were the previous champions I do feel sorry for Ronaldo, though; he didn't win this tournament despite his intense ambition to do so. I wonder if he will participate in the next World Cup or not...

One of the big advantages of a 32-team World Cup was that the group stage was relatively short and each match was more important. With 48 teams, the number of matches increased, making it difficult for many viewers to follow the entire tournament. For those who like to watch all the matches, it can be time-consuming and tiring. Then, many may start watching seriously only from the knockout stage. However, having more teams than that would greatly reduce the fun of the World Cup.

They are all sore losers, I saw on the news back home in Argentina, the citizens were attacking their police men all because they lost the final to Spain, you can imagine how weird that is, fight on the pitch, even few coaching crew members were running riots and looking for ways to hurt the Spanish players, I learnt FIFA are interesting in the case as few Argentina players and coaching crew will face disciplinary actions for unsportmanship. With the way they were acting, someone that didn't watch the match will think Argentina were robbed by Spain not knowing that for the entire 120 minutes+ Argentina was dominated throughout the game and should have lost with nothing less than 6 - 0 at least.
Don’t mind them little cry babies running around fighting and throwing childish tantrums instead of just accepting that they were outclassed by Spain; what were they thinking though? I hope they all get penalized and sanctioned for the retarded behaviors that they exhibited in and after that final match; from players down to the coach and all other staff involved. I always said they were frauds the Argentine’s and that final match proved me right. These motherfuckers literally had the easiest route in the tournament and thought they were invincible until they met real tough opponents and they got immobilized 😂. Messi played 120min and only had 1 shot off target, is God not wonderful?😂

The way FIFA has arranged the schedule of each game seems very logical to me because it is important to show their good performance in the group stage and get multiple opportunities and be strong enough to advance to the next knockout stage. The less strong teams are eliminated from the group stage and every match from the first knockout stage to the semi-finals is considered very important by football fans. I have watched most of the matches of the favourite teams in this World Cup football match and I have enjoyed every match with excitement as I have watched how the favourite teams are eliminated from the World Cup and lost in the bet. I think if the number of more groups is increased and the schedule of matches is arranged according to the current rules, it will not be boring, but rather relatively small countries will qualify for the World Cup and the Football World Cup will be more successful and lively.

It was the best tournament where the best competed. Now, with 48 teams, it's become a bit more boring. Because it's too long and so many teams have played, it's become difficult to follow. Of course, there have been many firsts, but I think the possibility of including more teams and hosting the tournament in more countries will no longer give the same enjoyment as the old World Cup.

There is really a rumour like they can raise the number of teams participating to 64. Like, what? This is a horrible idea. Especially if the number of European countries isn't increased logically then it'll be even worse! I've already been criticizing this format because of keeping this number at only 16. FIFA should think of the danger of the quality to drop seriously as well. This World Cup was fun, okay. But there were quite many uninteresting matches at the same time.

Argentina totally disappointed me. Just like you said, not having a single shot in 90 minutes is really embarrassing. Their helplessness was obvious when Enzo Fernandez got a red card. All in all, the tournament wasn't bad. I expected more from France, Portugal, and even Brazil. Still, we won't be watching Messi, Ronaldo, and Neymar anymore...An era has come to an end.
What was even more obvious happened at the end of the match when some Argentine players did not respect Spain where Paredes who was emotional and even seen slamming Gavi, Molina who hit Rodri while celebrating the victory and maybe there were many things that were not caught on camera but should be with this status if the Argentine players did not get any sanctions especially in the previous match there was a political issue this would be outrageous. The World Cup is over but the sanctions should still apply because this is a form that I consider to be unhealthy in a sport that we know this is fairplay that has always been the motto. It's the most chaotic World Cup I've seen not just about controversy for some teams but also for the USA as the organizer. Argentina showed their frustration with their behavior. We all know how some Argentine players approach these situations. Unfortunately, they showed very little fair play and simply couldn't accept that Spain was the better team by a wide margin. Messi is a football genius, but this time he couldn't win the match on his own. As for the tournament itself, i think people will be talking for a long time about that red card and the rule changes that followed

True. Although if I'm being honest, it wasn't as interesting as I'd like. Let's talk about the number of teams that participated and also the somehow unnecessary water breaks that occured in both halves of the game which didn't happen in the 2022 WC. I'm happy it has come to an end though, at least we can now focus on club football.

More teams will only make tournament worse. I understand that FIFA and the country that held tournament will earn more if there were more countries that participate. But I also understand there will be more mismatches, tournament will be longer (and fans might start losing interest to watching it), teams that get to knockout stage will be more exhausted due to number of matches and waiting time, there will be an increased chance of a lucky victory that will kick out strong team (but that lucky winner will have zero chances to win next team).

They not only performed poorly throughout the match, but they also behaved in an unprofessional manner. Admittedly, not everyone behaved that way , but the behaviour of a few has tarnished their reputation somewhat. If only they’d been able to play without the pressure from the start, I reckon Argentina might well have put up a fight against Spain. Unfortunately, Argentina chose to play aggressively , and it was precisely because of that that they failed to find their rhythm. I think Spain certainly deserved to win the trophy because they put in a truly impressive performance , and if only the Argentine goalkeeper hadn’t played so well , I think Spain might have scored before extra time

Surely, it was a bad day for them. I couldn't but believe my eyes as to there poor performance in the whole game. I had managed to watch just two matches of Spain all through the competition, but I never believed they could be this rootless, tactical, forceful and composed while playing. I bet, nobody would have saw this coming, I mean this kind of possession and dominance from Spain in the whole match. Am sure some still believed with there lives that Argentina will sure win the world cup for Messi to have come this close. Considering how they played against England and snatched the final spot from them after scoring two late goals. Against England, Argentina looked formidable, but against Spain, they looked like a left over food, no strength, no tactics, no contribution, no playing style and all of the football stuff. Spain looked perfect, and it would have been a bad story if they failed to win it. That's what they say, you can't predict football rightly always. Congratulations to Spain
