~ What the heck did you expect? Argentinians keep proving themselves as racist turds again and again. I don't like that Speed dude, but you should have seen their behaviour towards him. Their economy going from one of the richest to developing messed them up probably.
You are part of the minority of the global population who are sympathetic towards them currently. They totally deserve all the hate they are getting and I doubt people will forget any of this anytime soon. Think! Condemning an entire nationality as "racist turds" based on viral Twitter clips and stadium behavior is a massive overreaction. Social media algorithms are literally tuned to push the worst human behavior onto your feed just to farm engagement. Don't mistake viral rage bait for the actual reality of an entire country. I agree that ugly things happened during the World Cup, and we should absolutely condemn that, but writing off an entire nation because of it is just lazy. That being said, I'm still glad Spain won.

It really pleased me to read comments from someone so perceptive. You are well aware of what is happening in the world, and you effectively warn those who are swayed by such provocations. That is why I love this forum being able to read messages from people like you feels like a real privilege. Yes, social media thrives on the kind of things you mentioned, so it shouldn't be confused with the country's actual reality. I was also happy that Spain won they deserved it and they won.

Well after this last world cup ended which team do you think we are gonna have fight for the next one in 2030? For me France is gonna be still there, Spain i have my doubts seems like yes but im not super sure, Germany for me is gonna be again a powerhouse for sure.
Argentina Brazil and Italy are my main doubts, i dont know if any of them can rebuild to be at top.
Argentina will be strong in the next World Cup as well. And Brazil will be in a much better position than they are now, but they will not be able to perform that well. However, Spain and France will play well in the future. However, I want a team that has never won a World Cup before to win the next World Cup. We have seen some new teams playing quite well this time. If this continues, we will see new and strong teams in the future where a new country will come and win the World Cup. Because this time Spain won, although they won in 2010. So if a team that has never won a World Cup before could win this World Cup, it would be even better. In four years, many good players will retire from the team, so I really don't know how strong Argentina or Brazil will be in the next World Cup. No matter how strong or big the team is, if it can't perform well on the field, being a big team is of no use. I watched most of the games in the 2026 World Cup and one thing I noticed was that the smaller teams performed much better than the big teams in the World Cup. It's true that they didn't make it to the finals, but seeing their performance, I'm hopeful that they will be much stronger than before in the next World Cup. That is why anything someone is doing in life he/she should remember that the age is counting. The way you played ball in the next 4 years back will definitely different from now. Example of the players I noticed was Cristiano Ronaldo,Messi and Neymar during the just concluded 2026 FIFA world cup matches, though it was only Messi that showed a little bit strong and healthy among them. Now imagine how they played 4 years back before the 2026 FIFA world cup, so even if they gives these three players next World Cup now, they wouldn't perform very well as expected. I guess this is thier last world cup.

He is a big star in world football. His talent has to be acknowledged, and even to this day, we can see his high-accuracy passes. He's not as agile as he was in his prime. But the public can't judge him like that. We know football is not just mere entertainment. There are many aspects that also represent certain interests. Messi will be fine with whatever happens in the media.

If someone describes a country as a racist turd just because of the behaviors of fans in the stadium, then they will be making a great mistake. Anyone who follows social media rage bait as what happens in reality will be making the worst mistakes of their life because not everything we see or read on social media are true, some people just want to recruit others to hate a particular people or country just because they themselves hate that country. I know that Argentina has a history of racism in the past, but we shouldn't use that to define them in the present. Football fans are not the entire population of a country so if anyone must label Argentina as a racist country, they need to be specific by calling out their football fans. As much as i know, Argentina is a country that welcomes different races, even though other races may not be much over there.

Maybe teams like Argentina, Portugal and Brazil will suffer it but I don’t think the likes of Spain will suffer from such retirements because all their strong players in this last World Cup are still within their ages to play in couple of years to come especially in the next 4 years. The likes of Neymar in Brazil will sure be retired by then, also Ronaldo of Portugal, Messi and Ortamendi of Argentina are also hardly going to play after this World Cup in the next one and these are key players who in a way do shape the performance of their teams at the national level. I have a couple of names in mind such as the likes of Mahrez of Algeria, Sadio Mane of Senegal and Neuer of Germany are most likely not to appear in the next tournament of World Cup.

Incorrect! This is a massive over-generalization on your part. It's obviously impossible for the entire country to be racist which is why you should have read between the lines. Any smart person would have clearly understood that I was talking about certain specific Argentinians. Your intention here is clearly good and am not offended in the slightest, but I advise understanding the intentions of others in a better manner instead of misreading them like this. Think!

Although Yamal is Spain's biggest strength, Spain's players don't rely on any one player. Yamal is probably an important player for Spain, but even if he is absent, Spain can still fight strongly.
What you said about the USA seems logical to me. Since the matches were held in the USA this year, many people couldn't go there due to various restrictions. Such as travel bans, visa denials, additional border checks, and direct restrictions on the entry of fans from some countries, I also don't want the USA to host the World Cup in the future.
I doubt Yamal being the biggest stregth of Spain, he is undoubtedly one of the greatest players of spain but he isnt the only strength of them. Their strength is the coordination of players with themselves and their ability to keep possession. The strength of team doesn’t rely only on one player ( unless its messi 😉) and if they play as a team only then they can succeed. Yamal is not a big strength of Spain because you notice that this team has a great combination, the proof of this has been seen in this 2026 World Cup because Spain's team performance in this World Cup was great. However, it is true Barcelona's young player Lamine Yamal is very talented and he has also performed great in this World Cup and created many chances in many matches. In fact this player was unstoppable against Argentina in the final match of this FIFA World Cup, which is why many people may think that he is the big strength of Spain. Looking at the performance of the Spain team, it does not seem that this team is dependent on any particular player because every player in their team is used to performing great at the moment, especially the young players of this team because I noticed that Spain's Cubarsi was selected as the best young player in this FIFA World Cup for his great defense.

Messi played the best worldcup of has career. They singly carry the whole Argentina team to the final. It's not mistake to lose one final and everyone can blame it. Messi lose 2014 worldcup final they lost 2015 copa America final they lost 2016 copa America final. So it's not at all about losing but the question is why Argentina team look pressurised before the game something bad happens because I watch a video of Messi say focus on the game don't remember what's happened last night so there was something big happened which media is not showing. Messi can play the 2030 worldcup they are fit and they can carry the whole team. In 2030 worldcup Messi will be 43 and Ronaldo will be 45 age and both can play has last and farewell worldcup. Hope both can stay sharp until 2030.

Unfortunately, with the growth of social media, such situations are becoming more and more common. Algorithms promoting the most scandalous videos and posts trigger stronger emotional responses in people. Naturally, many get the impression that this kind of behavior is typical of the majority, even though that is far from the truth. It is sad that football, which brings people together, can paint a negative picture of an entire nation due to the influence of social media.

Messi should not be moved by all this but I can really tell how painful it is to have given it your all to your nation and still get bullied at the end of the day. The fact is, Messi has won the World Cup before and that’s something he should be very happy about and not feel retarded and angry about this social media fuss about his last dance in the World Cup. He is a player that has won it all, he shouldn’t be moved by all this things at this stage, his career is already coming to a retirement and should only look back at those days he gave it all and won it all and was well appreciated by fans and players around him. This is football and banter will continue anytime you lose a game, he should have getting use to it by now and that should not be a cause for alarm to him.

I call the Argentinian players and citizens sore losers, these are guys who would mock other opponent team and fans when they win and the whole world will pretend as if nothing happened, nobody talks about it and everyone moves on. Argentina prior to the finals had several calls go their way but they never complained about it because it's in their favour, in a final against Spain were even the blind could see that these guys played absolutely nothing in the entire 120 minutes, but somehow from nowhere where their fans are calling and writing petition for the final to be replayed. I wonder what they feel like, maybe the world revolves around them, so they think. Why on earth will they even think of replaying the finals, other nations who should have requested for such after the referee influenced the game didn't ask for it, it's Argentina who wers totally outclassed in the final that's asking for a rematch, funny and delusional people.

Messi has not made any official statement yet regarding his retirement from international football, rumours has it that he will not participate in the next world cup. Argentina doesn't have a lot of quality players and in the four years I'm not sure if they will find a replacement for Messi so I think Messi may still participate again probably it could be last. Argentina depends on messi probably because he is their best finisher for scoring goals. And Fernandez Martinez did well during the world cup perhaps they will do well in the next world cup incase messi doesn't participate because of his age.
As Messi gets older, Argentina can no longer always rely on him to carry the entire team. Sooner or later, they need to find a replacement for his position – especially by 2030 when he will be over 40 years old. This justifies the reason that Argentina needs to find a replacement for him because that is quite an old age for a football player, and there is no guaranty that he can perform as well as he did in this World Cup. And I think that the Argentine coach should already have a strategy to address this and will start preparing players who can take on more responsibility. But maybe there's no need to overestimate their performance, as Messi's role is indeed difficult to replace.

now the question is was it really a big mistake for Messi to have played in this world cup? Because he's been taunt for all kind of scandals and that's not really good for his status.
These guys are not strange to criticism, when they win games, they take most of the credits and on days when they lose or have a bad play, they suffer great criticism. Messi has being the center of admiration and a lot of praises as well as accusations in the just concluded World Cup but, his performance against Spain and not just him but the entire Argentina squad wasn’t forthcoming. Football fans would definitely make the most of it and to make matters worst, they caused chaos on the pitch after the game, that was rather unnecessary and that didn’t help their case. It's one thing to be criticized as a player when your team loses a major final like the FIFA World Cup but absolutely another thing when you're accused of cheating and always manipulating match officials to help you win games. Lionel Messi and the Argentine team didn't show the spirit of sportsmanship during the World Cup tournament, the video clips shows that they were also favored at the expense of their opponents in some games. I think it would've been more honourable for him if he had retired after winning the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The 2026 FIFA world cup has ended but the Internet all over social media is still buzzing, even Spain that almost every believes it's a home for Messi is not holding back to muck and banter him, aside that Messi himself has blocked lots of his fans even those that believe him too much Mehran Rowshan is one of Messi's top fans, but Messi blocked him for just giving his takes in the just concluded FIFA world, now the question is was it really a big mistake for Messi to have played in this world cup? This is not new, whenever the World Cup tournament ends, people come online to lend their own opinion about it and say whatever they want to say. The reason why it looks as if this one is creating a buzz is because it involves Lionel Messi who is among the greatest footballers in history. Banter is something that happens regularly in football, so i don't see anything wrong with the banter online. About Messi blocking some of his fans, maybe it could be his handler that is doing the blocking because i don't see Messi like a social media freak who monitors everything happening on the Internet. Why will it be a mistake for Messi to play in the World Cup, he is fit to play for his country and he did so why should it be a mistake. You said that Spain is mocking him but I don't think they are mocking him because he gave Spain more relevance during his time in Barcelona so I don't think they will do that but if they did, it shouldn't be surprising, afterall even his country Argentina once mocked him so it is what it is.

A bitter loser actually, bitter and pained. I keep wondering if this is the guy they claim to be humble and gentle. Wr will always be proud and happy for how this competition ended because it didn't just display the vile behaviour of Lionel Messi but also that of him as a player, his teammates and the rest of the footballing fans. We're all glad to see that Spain won the tournament. We couldn't have hoped for anyone better to get the job done. Their sportsmanship is beyond dirty and hopefully they get penalties and punishment for their vile and ugly behavior. After the tournament, we have also seen more people come to say otherwise about his dirty behaviour

I haven't seen any official statement yet that confirms that Lionel Messi will skip next world cup... Do we need an official statement to know that a 43-year-old player that barely runs now won't take part in the next World Cup? Also, an official statement by who? Messi? The Argentinian Federation? For all what we know Messi could retire next year. Nobody in the history of football ever made this kind of statements.

When there is an issue about the World Cup, it becomes an international issue. Messi has many fans as the best player in the world, but there are also many who do not like him. And he has been playing in Barcelona since the beginning, Barcelona club has a lot of influence behind Messi becoming the greatest, considering that many people may close Messi to Spain. Since the World Cup is a popular event in the whole world, a game that involves everyone's emotions, after Argentina lost, many people have said various negative things about Messi. These are normal. The World Cup has only been over for a few days, people will say many such things, but with time, everything will calm down. People will forget all these things after a few months. When new issues arise, people will start talking about them. If Messi had announced his retirement after the 2022 World Cup, there would have been no debate that he is the best player of all time. He could have retired from his top position at that time. But he wanted to play for his country, so he participated in the 2026 World Cup. It may be sad to be ridiculed, trolled or controversial about him, but these do not diminish his status at all. We who love football should be grateful to a player like Messi because he has shown us such a beautiful game with his skills and talent, he has captured the emotions of football lovers for so many years. And Messi will always be the GOAT.
