The 2026 FIFA world cup has ended but the Internet all over social media is still buzzing, even Spain that almost every believes it's a home for Messi is not holding back to muck and banter him, aside that Messi himself has blocked lots of his fans even those that believe him too much Mehran Rowshan is one of Messi's top fans, but Messi blocked him for just giving his takes in the just concluded FIFA world, now the question is was it really a big mistake for Messi to have played in this world cup? Because he's been taunt for all kind of scandals and that's not really good for his status.
Messi has magical performances that keep him playing for a long time and still scoring goals. Many fans can't accept it after Argentina lost but in reality Spain played great and won the trophy. If fans always expect goals from Messi, it is a mistake for them because he is not a great person. I don't know why many people blame Messi and make personal attacks when he is a legendary player and tried to play well.

There are many influential gamblers who bet on Messi who bet on Argentina but they lost a lot of money due to the team's poor performance. I saw in one post that someone bet $1.5 million on Argentina and lost. Many negative words and actions about Argentina or Messi may be spread on social media from him and this may be normal.

Yes,, Messi is indeed a truly great footballer, and we can't deny this. But he's still human,, and sometimes things don't go according to plan. That's why Argentina lost in the final,, and I don't think we should blame Messi alone. Messi played exceptionally well in that match. However, his teammates weren't at their best,, which weakened Argentina's performance.

Furthermore,, Spain's performance was undeniably excellent. It's understandable why Argentina lost. Spain consistently pressured Argentina's defense. Even though Argentina held on, their defense was eventually breached. That's why I think Spain deserved to win. And regarding the gamblers who lost in this match, I think that is their own risk, and there is no need to blame other parties.

In essence, Spain's performance in the final was truly impressive. They gave the Argentine players absolutely no room to build a proper attack. That's why,, no matter how hard the Argentine players tried, they still struggled. This was because the Spanish players played well in all sectors. It truly was a very good and deadly combination. I also didn't expect Spain to have such a performance after struggling in their first match at the World Cup.

So it seems Spain's golden generation has returned. Because with a performance like that, I'm confident that Spain will definitely win every competition they enter. Because the proof is that currently, with this squad, Spain has already secured the World Cup and the European Championship. Even in the national cup, Spain almost won, but unfortunately, they lost to Portugal. But the point is, Spain is really performing very well right now. So I'm truly amazed by them.

What?… are you sure you know what you’re saying or there’s a different match you’re talking about. I guess you didn’t watch the World Cup final. Messi played from the beginning of the game till the end of the game. Spain just were a better team and marked Messi off the pitch by stopping balls from getting to him and when Spain were in possession there was nothing Messi could do. Argentina basically played with 10 men throughout the tournament and only played with Messi during attacks.

This is just your opinion but the reality is that Messi played from the beginning of the World Cup final match and could not show a good performance because the Spanish team was a much stronger team than Argentina. Argentine team showed such a poor quality of play that they were only able to shoot at the three times in the whole match, none of which were on target. How helpless the Argentine team was in front of the Spanish players. The strategy that the Spanish players played completely overwhelmed Argentina. Messi is getting old now and needs to retire. In this World Cup, he could only score goals in matches against weak teams and did not score any goals in any quarter-final or semi-final.

Sorry, did you really watch the World Cup final? I say this because if you really watched the game you would never have commented that he was not in the starting XI. Messi was in the starting XI and played from the beginning as the captain of Argentina. Despite this, Spain kept the whole match inactive. Spain played in such a way that there was no way for Messi to reach the ball. In that match, Argentina was not getting time and space in the midfield, due to which Messi had to go down a lot of times to get the ball. Due to which Messi could not attack as much as he could because he could not be in a position close to the goal. Remember one thing, no matter how good a player Messi is, if his team cannot control the ball, then it is not possible for him to change the entire structure alone.

I wasn’t able to write during the final match between Spain and Argentina, but now I’d like to share my thoughts, even if they’ve perhaps been said time and time again.
Spain won, and very deservedly so; as for Argentina, however, I feel deeply disappointed – not because of their poor performance, but because of their appalling arrogance; they are incapable of handling defeat. Instead of congratulating their opponents, they simply sought out and provoked brawls on the pitch.
Messi, too, was a disappointment due to his pointless and unsportsmanlike behaviour.

Argentina game plan was totally different, in the early minutes when they realized that their goal keeper doing very accurate work and able to defend every goal, they start to depend on him and change the plan, they were just trying to defend, maybe they wants to go for the penalties since their goal keeper Emiliano Martínez is confident where as Spain goal keeper is not as precise as Argentina.

I'd say that as a strategy it really leaves a lot to be desired. You're Argentina and you're the reigning world champion, your strategy is to go to penalties and try to win it hoping for luck? I don't think that's the strategy they wanted to use, rather I think Spain completely caged them! They were able to play whatever game they wanted! You can see that clearly from the match statistics.

Messi has not made any official statement yet regarding his retirement from international football, rumours has it that he will not participate in the next world cup. Argentina doesn't have a lot of quality players  and in the four years I'm not sure if they will  find a replacement for Messi so I think Messi may still participate again probably it could be last.
Argentina depends on messi probably because he is their best finisher for scoring goals. And Fernandez Martinez did well during the world cup perhaps they will do well in the next world cup incase messi doesn't participate because of his age.

As Messi gets older, Argentina can no longer always rely on him to carry the entire team. Sooner or later, they need to find a replacement for his position – especially by 2030 when he will be over 40 years old. This justifies the reason that Argentina needs to find a replacement for him because that is quite an old age for a football player, and there is no guaranty that he can perform as well as he did in this World Cup. And I think that the Argentine coach should already have a strategy to address this and will start preparing players who can take on more responsibility. But maybe there's no need to overestimate their performance, as Messi's role is indeed difficult to replace.
The 2026 World Cup will be Messi’s last. Although Messi has not yet decided whether the 2026 World Cup will be his last, given that he is approaching retirement age, it seems unlikely that he will be able to play in the 2030 World Cup. Both Argentina’s coaches and fans surely realize that it will be impossible for Messi to play in the 2030 World Cup. This is certainly something Scaloni has already considered for the future, as Argentina’s style of play will inevitably change completely without Messi.

Dear Ace, you are absolutely right! Argentina didn’t need to adopt such a defensive tactic in the hope of taking the match to penalties, or perhaps they wanted to go all out in the final 10 minutes to score a goal and put Spain under pressure, but instead their plans were distroied. Given its history, Argentina must play openly from the start, without fear. This mistake, however, doesn’t change my opinion of Scaloni, whom I consider a great manager, and the "Scaloneta" when it works is a brilliant style of play.

What are you actually saying did you even watch the match at all, Messi started from the beginning of the match till the end, it’s very clear that you didn’t watch the match or you made a mistake however, even though you didn’t watch the match you would have at least go online and do some research before coming here to write.
Messi can’t change anything in the match and I won’t blame him because his not the only player, one player can’t change things.
Spain was just better than Argentina that was why they couldn’t win Spain or play well, Spain was in total control of the game from the beginning till the end of the game.

You are right. Every match of Argentina in this World Cup was provocative. Especially in the final match, they could not bear the pain of losing and started pushing and fighting with the opposing team Spain. They have proven how bad they are now. They have been playing by stealing from the beginning. In the end, they have received more scorn from the world than the respect they received when they reached the final. A complaint should be made against a crazy team or player like this. Especially Leandro Paredes should be made against him. A crazy person like Leandro Paredes is not fit to play in the World Cup unless he can accept his loss as normal. Leandro Paredes was the first to push and fight the Spanish players, which we clearly saw.

Without Messi, the Argentina team will be much weaker in the future. Because having Messi in the team means having his passing, dribbling and goal scoring ability. In addition, the incredible assists he makes and his contribution to goal scoring may never be replaced by anyone. The Argentina team has not yet found a replacement for Ángel Di María. Although there are many good players in the Argentina team. But the position of an experienced player like Di María has not yet been filled. And if Messi retires and he is forced to, which is because it is almost impossible to play football at that age. In that case, it will be a big bad news for the Argentina team. Even then, if they can change their planning and strategy and perform well, then it will definitely be good for the Argentina team.

Goal came at the last minute, but they had sole possession of the ball. Spain were very consistent and maintained that consistency throughout the World Cup tournament. They put a lot of emphasis on winning. Not only did they strengthen their defense, but Spain played equally in every department and maintained their superiority.

Every player was ready in his position and put in an impressive performance. Despite being so strong, Argentina could not score a goal or even make a strong attack on target.
In essence, Spain's performance in the final was truly impressive. They gave the Argentine players absolutely no room to build a proper attack.

I think this is because Messi didn't appear in the starting lineup. Playing in the second half is not the same as playing full time. Had he played from the beginning, he would have drawn the focus of Spain's defenders, which could have allowed Argentina to score during FT, and then who knows what could have happened in injury time. Argentina lost their potential to become champions for the second time in a row.
Of course, Spain gave Argentina no chance. Argentina couldn't maintain possession in either defense or midfield. Spain, on the other hand, played exceptionally well and completely dominated Argentina. The match went into extra time, but Spain won. If you ask me, Spain deserved the victory. Enzo Fernandez received a very simple red card, leaving his team with ten men in extra time. Spain punished him by scoring a goal. This was the first time Argentina has been so ineffective in the tournament. However, this isn't Argentina's fault, because Spain showed the same level of play in the semi-final. Spain is currently a team that defends very well and passes very well.

Argentina's plan before the start of the game wasn't to defend and wait for the penalty shootout to try their luck. They had to adopt that approach after they saw they were completely outplayed by the Spaniards who controlled the whole 90 minutes of normal time. Argentina couldn't even register a shot on target so to them, taking the game to penalties will give them a 5-50 chance of winning the game.

Actually, as the 90 minutes were ending, it was clear that Spain would win in the last 30 minutes of extra time, but the biggest problem was Argentina's red card at the end of the match. Therefore, they played with ten men for the last 30 minutes. I think if both teams had an equal number of players, the match could have gone to penalties. Because Argentina didn't let them score a goal during the 90 minutes. They could have managed to keep a clean sheet in extra time as well.

Anyway, the match is over , and it's easiest to comment on a finished game. In the end, Spain won and became the reigning World Champions. I would have liked Messi to win the championship, but Spain didn't even give them a chance.

In final of 2010, Andrés Iniesta scored the only goal of the match in 116 minute of the match and in 2026 its Ferran Torres who scored the only goal of the match in 106 minute. Spain won both world cups by scoring a goal in second half of the extra time. It's still very hard to digest how Argentina played the final. Enzo Fernández rightly deserve the red card because of the heavy challenge he committed towards the end of second half. Argentina was already under pressure in first two halfs and they have to play the extra time with 10 players which added more pressure on them.

Well after this last world cup ended which team do you think we are gonna have fight for the next one in 2030? For me France is gonna be still there, Spain i have my doubts seems like yes but im not super sure, Germany for me is gonna be again a powerhouse for sure.

Argentina Brazil and Italy are my main doubts, i dont know if any of them can rebuild to be at top.
Argentina will be strong in the next World Cup as well. And Brazil will be in a much better position than they are now, but they will not be able to perform that well. However, Spain and France will play well in the future. However, I want a team that has never won a World Cup before to win the next World Cup. We have seen some new teams playing quite well this time. If this continues, we will see new and strong teams in the future where a new country will come and win the World Cup. Because this time Spain won, although they won in 2010. So if a team that has never won a World Cup before could win this World Cup, it would be even better.
In four years, many good players will retire from the team, so I really don't know how strong Argentina or Brazil will be in the next World Cup. No matter how strong or big the team is, if it can't perform well on the field, being a big team is of no use. I watched most of the games in the 2026 World Cup and one thing I noticed was that the smaller teams performed much better than the big teams in the World Cup. It's true that they didn't make it to the finals, but seeing their performance, I'm hopeful that they will be much stronger than before in the next World Cup.

That is why anything someone is doing in life he/she should remember that the age is counting. The way you played ball in the next 4 years back will definitely different from now. Example of the players I noticed was Cristiano Ronaldo,Messi and Neymar during the just concluded 2026 FIFA world cup matches, though it was only Messi that showed a little bit strong and healthy among them. Now imagine how they played 4 years back before the 2026 FIFA world cup, so even if they gives these three players next World Cup now, they wouldn't perform very well as expected. I guess this is thier last world cup.
There is an age issue in every person's life, especially what we have seen in this World Cup with players like 3-star Ronaldo, Messi and Neymar who did not play very well. In the World Cup before this World Cup, everyone was quite fit and their physical condition was very good but after four years, their game has changed a lot due to age. In that case, we still hear that maybe there is something in the next World Cup when the three stars play, but if they play in the next World Cup, their performance will be very bad. However, Messi played quite well in the 2026 World Cup and he was very hardworking but unfortunately they reached the final of this World Cup and lost. However, if they are allowed to play in the next World Cup, their performance will be very bad as expected, but I think Messi and Ronaldo are more likely to retire from international football in the next World Cup. However, we must accept this fact that with the age of every player, their performance starts to deteriorate.
