Feel bad? Far from it, except for the ignoble phone call that played out between Donald Trump and Gianni Infantino. Yet, football Karma struck the USA the hardest, with 1-4 win by Belgium in knockout stage, which is disgraceful enough for Trump, even as their person of interest (Folarin Balogun) wasn't able to produce a single goal in that match. So why should I feel bad? Even with the partial officiation in favour of Argentina, the country wasn't terrible on the pitch; they did well, so they deserve respect still. And for the obvious partiality, Argentina was still hammered hard by Spain. Not only that, Spain had an overwhelming 75% supporter to win the final match globally . That should tell you a lot already. The world of football has already been vindicated!

Id they succeed to sell most of the shares, this means FIFA will be a private enterprise and most outcome will be determined by the board especially who will win the next world cup and who should not qualify. This is not a good move by FIFA and Infantino knows that he would not be elected again as the next FIFA president which is why he is trying to sell and buy some shares to himself.

Basically in football we have seen many legendary players in the past, where many people said that no one could take their place and no one could be as legendary as them. But we can already see that many Argentine fans said that and we can already see that Messi has achieved more than him and you are a better player than Maradona. It can be said without a doubt that at some point in the Argentina team there will be a player who will play better than Messi and achieve more than him, it is natural. Messi is certainly an extraordinary player and a legendary player, to reach his place all the other players will have to work very hard which is impossible but in the future a better player may be produced if that is unknown. A better player than Messi may be produced then maybe not many and many may see it and again it may not be, it is very difficult to predict.

The beauty of football and every other sports is that great players always keep coming from time to time. Maradona was once considered to be one of best footballer of all time but now its Messi era. In future we will surly have new players that will replace Messi and CR7 as greatest footballers. Many great players have played there last FIFA world up in 2026 and we will never see them again in action but in the next world cup new players will step in which will entertain the football lovers with there games.

I don't know if you folks have come across this news-y-ness yet, but it looks like Fifa has plans to sell the commercial rights to its tournaments, including the World Cup, to private investors!
As if the corruption scandals and favorism surrounding the recently ended tournament were not enough, someone now wants to ruin the beautiful game by enriching themselves



Agree with me or not, but this whole thing has America's capitalism written all over it. The beautiful tournament may never be the same again.

Hard decisions are meant to be executed without hesitations during times like this.

It gladdens my heart to see the European football and UEFA boycotting them immediately. The 2022 FIFA World Cup Competition is enough to display all he did with the greatest sport, the recently ended tournament also released more to the world to see. I think FIFA has never been so controversial before. If football is commercialized, the real fun of the game will end there. Why is so much money needed? If the game is commercialized, where the emotions of people from all countries of the world are in the game, it will not be as vibrant as before. The emotions that people create every four years will be lost forever. Again, there are different leagues for commercialization, why should the World Cup be commercialized? If such a policy is implemented, it will also affect the results of matches on the World Cup stage.

I strongly support the opposition of UEFA, CONCACAF, and the European Leagues Association. We do not want to kill ordinary football fans by such policy. Gianni Infantino is the one been held responsible and also seen as the frontrunner of the ongoing saga about turning football into a commodity. I believe he's not the only one because he has members, crews that are also planning with him, plotting this wouldn't work out except they unite and that's exactly what they're doing.

FIFA is a body that's supposed to be free from world politics but when they started getting involved in politics that's when I knew it's going down and football won't be the same again. FIFA got involved in national politics after they banned Russia for invading Ukraine, but failed to apply the same ban when Israel and US invaded Iran. That's a double standards to me, if you apply a ban on one for a particular reason why not apply the same ban to the other for that same very reason. Infantino is allowing Trump to help kill football because from the looks of things, it's Trump that's the real deal behind all these new investments stuffs that's hanging around FIFA currently.

I also read that even UEFA and its members ready not to participate in all of FIFA competitions. Apart from that US soccer is also reposting CONCACAF official statement. So even US soccer team is stand with us.



If Infantino ain't a dumb guy, he will not ruin FIFA's competition that already built for ages. If he's still doing it, then he's killing FIFA. No more nations or clubs will participate in their event. So no team play, no money for them.

Gianni Infantino is the FIFA President so it’s expected that nothing goes without his approval or input so if there’s anything wrong he’ll take the blame for it.
But I know he may not be guilty of all that he’s been accused of currently, though he has opened football to a level of politicking never seen before and his recent friendship with Trump may have influenced this proposal for selling interest rights to private investors.

Moreover  Iran team was not allowed to stay in USA, they have to travel to play match in USA and then go back to Mexico. But important thing to note is that FIFA president remained silent on all such actions and said this hosting country internal matter. If such complaints were received from an Asian or African country then FIFA would have taken strict actions.

Now that a couple of days have passed since his announcement, and seeing that UEFA and other federations withdrew their support makes me think he was ordered to make the move (I don't know by whom), and when they saw that UEFA took a bad stance, they backed down and left him out in the cold.

These are bunch of racists that know what they are doing. Don't be surprised about what is happening in FIFA board and how they have been silent about the way the United States treated most countries restricting them from access to the stadium.

Also, FIFA have rotation rules, so a country cannot host the tournament if any other continental confederation has already hosted either of the two preceding editions. In this case, none of the CONCACAF teams/countries can host the World Cup until at least 2038.

As far as i've read, Spain, Portugal, and Morocco will be the main hosts, while one match each will be played in Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay to mark the 100th anniversary of the first world cup in 1930. It’s quite an interesting concept, and i think this is how a world cup should look

The US hosting this last edition of the World Cup was a huge mistake in my opinion. There were a lot of things they wanted to normalize, and everything was about trying to rip out money from the tournament as much as possible. From the crazy ticket prices to stupid unnecessary water breaks so the adverts could take up whatever time was there to run. To be honest, the water breaks killed the game momentum and altered the games in most cases.

I am glad more continental football governing bodies are going hard against the plan.

To the governing body of the game FIFA, it’s being all business and they’ve being looking to maximize profit more than they tend to value the game. We all saw what happened in the World Cup, the hydration breaks just to add room for some adverts, the calls for special favors, looking the other way for treatment of athletes and fans… there was just about a lot of odd things that happened to show how FIFA is more inclined to business than the game.

Now, they are up with yet another means to maximize profit with upfront payment for agreeable parties without making proper considerations and UEFA is already saying no. From what I’ve heard, they would be looking to create a different governing body while boycotting FIFA completely.

Yeah, the hydration breaks killed the flow and intensity of games. The Brazil versus Norway game example enough as we all saw Norwegians stealing the momentum of the game after the hydration breaks.

Overpriced fees to watch football games, refusing football fans of Senegal visas so they can not watch anf support their nation and also the attack channelled at a FIFA recognised officials because he was Somalian.

It is a big plus to UEFA. They responded with strength now we have seen the plans in the dustbin.

So for you a World Cup should be played in 6 different countries and 3 different countries, separated by an ocean? And clearly the fans who want to watch the matches should travel all around the world and possibly get different visas, as if following the World Cup in a single country wasn't already expensive enough.
