~ I agree with you, Trump doesn't care about any other thing other than money being made from it, this is a capitalist country that claims to be democratic, they bash and water down China for being capitalist meanwhile they are the real definition of a capitalist country. I am not even sure what you are talking about with the US bashing China for being a capitalist country. If you meant communist, then it is true. The left party in the US is actually moving toward a socialist ideology. I understand that Trump has some opposition regarding his policies, but if not for his presidency, the left would have completely taken over, which is not a great prospect as it is destined to fail in the long run. If mainly UEFA didn't agree with this Infantino plans of selling part FIFA to private investors, I believe it would have been a done deal. UEFA to me I think is the main reason why his backing out of this simply because they didn't support it. Who would be watching the world cup or FIFA held competitions without European countries or European clubs? He got the heating and understood this is way bigger than him that's why his dropped that nonsense aganda he has for FIFA. It was certainly a nonsense agenda, and I won't be surprised if he comes up with more of these ideas in the future. It is good to see that UEFA could take a stand on this. Because FIFA could not afford to conduct the World Cup without European teams, they will be forced to change the name to the Copa Intercontinental.

I listened to one of NFF past president and current member of FIFA and from his interview on this proposal and also based on how Infantino approached for support in the 2016 elections it was clear that Infantino was coming to just make more money for the football governing board and not entirely after improving the standards of the play. We saw that with the numerous breaks for commercials at this World Cup and also the halftime press conference all were to increase revenue, so i wasn’t surprised with this new development, even the teams expansion is not based on many countries inclusion but rather more revenues that it will generate

The beauty of football and every other sports is that great players always keep coming from time to time. Maradona was once considered to be one of best footballer of all time but now its Messi era. In future we will surly have new players that will replace Messi and CR7 as greatest footballers. Many great players have played there last FIFA world up in 2026 and we will never see them again in action but in the next world cup new players will step in which will entertain the football lovers with there games.
I think the likes of Mbappe are already gearing up to take over from the likes of Messi and Ronaldo in the next generation, although Mbappe is at the age of 27 now, he barely have 10 solid years to keep playing professionally and still deliver as much as he’s currently doing. Another person the world is looking up to is Lamine Yamal and considering Yamal in his own age, it typically makes alot of sense to many of us because he is still 10 years below the age of Mbappe and can still solidly play for his club and country for at least the next 20 years or more. These are the two players on my mind right now though it looks pretty clear they will not retire the same bracket.

So ironically, Infantino was planning on how to start rigging games for teams so when they finally goes into privatisation it's going to be a walk in the pack for them to do the bidding of the private company.. make it make sense that a particular team in a tournament has the most complaints on them by multiple teams, this is not something of accusations, clearly video evidences supports these claims. You made the most fouls in the tournament, your team players are the aggressive yet you received the least number of cards. There was never any VAR intervention against you despite situations were they should be involved but your opponents gets VAR involvement wen it's not in your favour. People made similar statement 4 years ago but most people didn't take it seriously untill it happened this year and lots more started speaking up. When teams of different continent and ethnicity starts saying the same thing, then it can't be coincidence. Infantino was was really watering the ground to see the reaction of teams and since teams didn't go all out to reaction with action but only words, it didn't bother him much that's why he had the audacity to put up part of the organisation for privatisation, if the second biggest body in football didn't stand up against them with actions to be taken if it continues, I'm sure by now the world cup would have been gone by now because once it gets into private sector, that's the end of it.

In my opinion, Yamal is more worthy of replacing Messi or Ronaldo because besides his young age, he is also a talent who has reached the highest level with both club and national team levels. I can't deny Mbappe abilities, he has proven his quality as a top striker, but his current shortcomings are that he hasn't won the Champions League and the Ballon d'Or. At the age of 27, it is very possible for him to win the highest awards at club and individual level, especially now that he is at the best club in the world. Meanwhile, at the international level, he must be able to carry France to the Euros and the 2030 World Cup. If France continues to fail like in the 2022 and 2026 World Cups, Mbappe's chances are very slim, especially as the new generation continues to grow with above-average abilities.

Look, i wouldn't mind seeing Ronaldo's heir and Messi's heir, it would be very nice. I wish it for both of them, obviously if i have to give my absolute preference it goes to Lamine Yamal, in my opinion a player who will be talked about a lot in the future, i hope only for football obviously.

FIFA should be ashamed for even thinking about doing certain things, they are destroying this sport, and this doesn't really do justice to everything that football really is, they are getting worse day by day, and it is right that they stop and stop Infantino, who wants to propose the world cup every 2 years, privatizing this sport.

Yamal is also improving his physical form, the boy is clearly one of the best attackers around and many like him because he is also able to target the man 1 vs 1 and jump him easily without too many problems, this puts him in a perfect condition, in all the offensive phases of the team.

I think Lamine Yamal is the best right winger (RW) of the moment, there are very few wingers who can compete with him. However, he still has a lot of room for improvement, although he is able to create goalscoring opportunities, his finishing still has some problems. Watching their Champions League exits in the last two seasons, you can see how great Lamine Yamal is at creating opportunities, but if he can improve his finishing then maybe Barcelona won't have to waste so many opportunities. He needs to work on his physicality, skills and ability to take pressure to make his career last longer. His assists or goals would be higher if he or his teammates had better finishing skills. Both Barcelona and Spain lack a striker. That's why more than half of the opportunities he creates are wasted.

C'mon brother, stop it, will you? Kylian Mbappe is Kylian Mbappe and Lamine Yamal is Lamine Yamal. Nobody can be like Cristaino Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Do you even know what it means be consistent for 16 good years?! I will never compare them or liken them to Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Whatever happens, they're both good players and I will not go on hating on Lamine Yamal because of the love I have for Kylian Mbappe. This is something I did during the early stages of Lionel Messi in Barcelona and La Liga.

But when @Frankolala said "Mbappe might be the next Ronaldo and Yamal might be the next Messi", what he meant was that just as much as we talk about Messi and Ronaldo, we might talk about Mbappe and Yamal in the future when Messi and Ronaldo retire. This doesn't mean that they will replace Messi and Ronaldo. But you are right that a person is their own identity.

So they still have time to show to the world about what they've got in this sports. So let us see if these 2 younger generations will achieve the similar fate of Messi and Ronaldo or more than that. Messi & Ronaldo are like legends of this sports. It would be nice if someone will traverse their path or exceed what they have achieved in this sports.

Mbappe will be the next Ronaldo and Yamal might be the next Messi but Mbappe and Yamal ain't no rival because they're not of the same age. Mbappe is older than Yamal which puts Mbappe in a better position to sine and fade off while Yamal will be on his peak by then. They're two different players with different potentials. Yamal is already part of a new generation, it's not possible to compare to Mbappé. Just like it's not possible to compare Mbappé to Ronaldo and Messi. We can talk about who are the next players that are supposed to take their spots, but I don't see how it's fair to compare a 25-28 year old player to somebody who is 40. On paper the new Messi-Ronaldo rivalry should have been between Mbappé and Haaland but I feel like Yamal has already began his own era stealing the spotlights to the other two players. The question is: will Yamal compete with somebody else? Or will he do it by himself because he'll be too good?

So they still have time to show to the world about what they've got in this sports. So let us see if these 2 younger generations will achieve the similar fate of Messi and Ronaldo or more than that. Messi & Ronaldo are like legends of this sports. It would be nice if someone will traverse their path or exceed what they have achieved in this sports. Yamal's achievements at just 18 years old were remarkable. He has more opportunities to prove himself in the future. He has only managed to score 1 goal in this World Cup but he has played impressively. He is a very lucky player to win the trophy in his first World Cup. Mbappe is a goal machine, he scores goals at any level and won the Golden Boot for the highest goal in this World Cup. The football world expects more impressive performances from these two players and they are capable of fulfilling that expectation in the future.

i wouldn't compare Mbappe to Ronaldo. imo Mbappe is an ill suited forward for a well functioning team. PSG's success right after his departure is the most concrete example of this. tbh though, i thought he’d flop at this World Cup but he contributed way more than i expected.

I would definitely agree that since Mbappe and Yamal will get a long chance to play, they can also be considered legends. But it is not that there will not be better players than them in the future. If we review the past history of Messi and Ronaldo, then the matter can be clearer. When Messi first played in the World Cup in 2006, no one could have guessed that he had so much talent. Even though he scored a goal in his debut match, no one imagined that he would go so far. Ronaldo had a similar picture, but later they became legendary players in world football. Mbappe and Yamal also have a chance. If they can maintain their consistency, they can definitely become new legends. There is no opportunity to belittle anyone, others may also have that talent.

If Egypt can maintain the performance they have shown this time, they may be able to do something good in the next World Cup. The performance of some Asian teams in this World Cup was truly commendable. Some countries in the Asian continent are still focusing a lot on football and are producing quality players. Meanwhile, given the decision to include more teams in the FIFA World Cup, it is hoped that more teams from Asia and Africa will be included in the next World Cup.
FIFA made a big move by increasing number of teams from 32 to 48 in 2026 and now FIFA is conducting a study to find out impact of including 64 teams in next FIFA world cup. If that study comes out in favour of 64-teams then we might see more teams from Asia and Africa in next competition. Egypt was outstanding in this world cup and they were a bit unlucky in there game against Argentina in round of 16. Iran was also impressive with there game and they have the potential to come up with improved performance in next world cup.

Lamine Yamal has completed his international career at 19, there's nothing for worry about again. Now what he needs is to try and win more trophies (especially Champions league) at Barcelona. With that, he would have cemented his as one of the best player in the world. For now his agenda should be on winning the UCL . For me, Mbappe is currently the best player in the world and it's undeniable. He far ahead of any current player statistically. The two things dragging him down, is the Ballon d'or and the Champions league which he had won yet. But I believe he will surely get his hand on the UCL and Ballon d'or( probably ends up with 2 Ballon d'or before he retires).
