@danherbias07 - It was the Olympics though that Roy Jones was robbed of the gold medal, so it can't be compare and that was a long time ago. But in any case I agree that Fulton needs to go to Japan and handle his business with the Monster.
That's the only way he can really gain the respect of being a champion, but beating Inoue in his home town. Going to be a big task for him, at least he is willing to take that and not avoiding him.
So Fulton fighting in Japan is somehow worrisome since Japan is known as a country that has an unfair judging system. So I think in order to win Fulton needs to KO Inoue. If Fulton failed to knock out Inoue, no matter how ahead he is in point, there is a huge possibility that he will lose the fight. In fairness to Inoue, I think he really needs to finish the fight with a KO win or dominating performance to remove all rumors and assumption that the fight is unfairly judged.

We should not take that unfair judging speculation on that fight until we see how the match will go. Naoya Inoue's entire win in Japan didn't associate with controversy because the match was clearly dominated by him. Maybe just judge the fight after it happened. It didn't even come to my mind that something like that will happen especially at this big fight.

As long as the fight will turned out showing Fulton is really dominating Inoue, even he won't be able to knock out Inoue, I see the judges will be fair on their match. Aside from that, even it's on Japan, the judge will came from other countries and not Japan. This fight will be a clean fight and I'm sure of that. This is a big fight after all so let's be positive that no cheating will take place.

Hopefully, both Fulton and Inoue will not engage in any kind of manipulation, just bring the best and let fate decide who will going to win.

Going to be a big task for him, at least he is willing to take that and not avoiding him.
Correct. Fulton is almost preparing to move up weight at 126 having a supposed rematch with Figueroa. Instead, he skipped on that part of moving up so as to not have any regrets in his career, he needs to face Naoya Inoue. After he wins, for let's say it will happen, Fulton will probably have big fights at 126 and a possible title fight already. Yes, that's the courage of Stephen Fulton he is not afraid to go and chase for bigger fights. Like in the Figueroa wherein it was really a hard fight for him, but still he surpass all expectations but fighting toe to toe at times with Brandon as he as in a disadvantage. But what's important is that he get the job done and didn't move up for a rematch but instead will go and fight Inoue with his belt on the line and in Japan. For sure, champions are waiting for him at 126 lbs. So let's see first the result of this fight for him. He's giving the fans the entertainment that they wanted. Fighting the monster in front of his own countrymen, Fulton is doing something that will earn him a huge hype in his career once he manages to protect his belt. Not an easy fight for sure, the Monster is capable of upsetting him even he's in a much bigger division with Inoue's flexibilities, it's really interesting to see how both fighters will showcase their skills. Fulton should be the favorite though, if we can call the Monster to pull an upset win. I think Fulton knows the risk in the first place and as we have said, willing to take it and so if he wins, his career will be hype once more. I think it will still be the style of Fulton vs the power of the Monster. Their skills sets might be equal at this stage. But the power will be at Inoue as we have seen that he has that knockout power. And for sure Fulton knows this one and going to try to avoid it as possible without getting hit.

That is an interesting matchup between Stephen Fulton and Naoya Inoue. As you mentioned, Fulton's style and Inoue's power will likely play a big role in the fight. While their skill sets may be relatively equal --but for me, Inoue's knockout power is certainly something to watch out for. I have this doubt and I don't think if you notice this too, Fulton will likely try to avoid getting hit by Inoue's power punches while using his own technical skills and footwork to try and outmaneuver him. It will be a test of Fulton's defensive abilities as well as his ability to counter Inoue's power with his own shots --it is worth noting that Fulton has shown his own punching power in his recent fights, so he should not be underestimated in this regard

I also got the opposite way where I believe that Japan is much more known for their honest and fair character as right from the start where they are still kids, their culture is putting so much for them to learn how to respect and to be honest in any given circumstances. Now I know that Japan itself also got an infamous rumors about them but that doesn't give us any right to judge them. Inoue having this kind of status was because of his dedication and talent, surely, Inoue himself is the reason why he's right where he is now and not because he got some help.

We all know that Inoue's power punches can bring him down, but with good anticipations and with proper training to prepare against a monster will be noticed here. Fulton's acceptance to defend his belt is something that fans will love from him, if he will beat Inoue here respect and more recognitions will be rewarded to this champ.

Inoue though has face one of the best counter puncher in Donaire in their first fight and yes, it was very close and Donaire doing some damage on Inoue. So I guess Inoue see the best counters already, although Fulton might be different as he can't be compare to Donaire's counter punching. But still though, experience wise, Inoue should be all set to fight Fulton as whether what style will Stephen comes out in this fight. And in the end, Inoue's boxing skills and his tools might be too much for Fulton to handle.

Again, others might question if he still has it in at 122 lbs since he beat almost everyone at bantamweight with a KO. But since he steps up the plate, this will be his biggest test for far as he will be facing the champion at this weight class. But 4 lbs is not that any difference for boxers and for even average joe person. I mean we can increase our weight and remain the same or even in the case of Inoue he will have more power as there is no is issues as far as making the weight right now.

He has big goals as a boxer, and his journey so far is already very impressive. He likes to add more accomplishments in new divisions. Most of us are thinking that Inoue is going to win by KO as a possible outcome of this fight, but that still remains to be seen as he is fighting a champion.

Not that far from his current division, but the fighters here, especially the current champ, are almost moving up like him, but Fulton decided to stay and face his challenge before doing the change. We will see now if who between these two fighters/champions that will win and grab the belt, The Monster or The current champ, still depends on how they will showcase their skills when facing one another.

As for Naoya Inoue, the way he fights, the way he strategized things, and the way he dominates his opponents, I think those knock out he did against his opponents are not even part of his plan and it's just that because of his high IQ in boxing that able to think of good strategies even in the middle of the fight, and his strongly built body that always cooperating with what he wants are executed in the right timing. Inoue is just doing the supposed things that he really needs to do in the fight. If his opponent can't handle his punches and can't keep up with his speed, then a possible knockout is more likely to happen. As for Fulton, he is aware already of how Inoue fights and as a champion, he will surely do his best not to be surprised by Inoue's strength and speed that the fight will turn in favor of Inoue at most rounds. Expect that the champion will give a good fight against Inoue. I'm looking forward to seeing a close match and not a landslide win by either one of them.

The difference is not that big and I'm rooting that Inoue will be more comfortable at this weight because back at 118, it seems that he is already having some troubles on maintaining his weight mainly in the Inoue-Butler fight where he had to reduce more weights before the weigh-in just to fit the required weight. That said, he'll probably bring more troubles in his present weight class because of that.

Whatever it is, we cannot really deny that Naoya Inoue got some pure power like a monster and an IQ that brings more chances on his side, no doubt why he is called by that name. Also, I pretty much agree with your sentiment that as long as his foe cannot keep up with his speed and strength, then the fight is indeed more likely to finish by a way of KO and TKO. But this time, I'm just curious how will this fight go as this is Inoue's debut at 122 and he is already facing the 2-belt champion who is already expecting this fight to happen.

I am quite sure that over the years we have seen judges not being impartial all around the world and not only in Japan, so we must avoid making any kind of judgment on how the judges of this fight score it before they do so, maybe you are right and they try to help Inoue by giving him some rounds that he did not deserve, but maybe this is not the case and Inoue is able to convincingly win this fight even if he is unable to KO Fulton by simply dominating the whole fight.

Judges couldnt easily be applying out on being bias on a certain fighter when giving out those score cards considering that this is happening on world stage or ring which lots of eyes had been really that watching which means that making out some unrealistic or non justified scoring will really result out on criticisms and bashes which this is something that they dont really like for them to have. This is why its unlikely that there would be some unjustifiable counts of punches landed and missed out on this one.Lets just see on whose better inside the ring between these two.

Let's forget that speculation of cheating and anything else. I doubt that will happen in this fight. Naoya Inoue surely is pissed if something like that happened where the clear winner of the fight won't be the announced winner. It will also ruin the market of the boxing industry in Japan if such big fights will be associated with cheating.

There will be no cheating speculation in this fight because it will not be decided by the judges. I'm pretty sure one of them will win via KO, but I have doubts it will be Fulton since Inoue has been eliminating boxers that he fought, and I think he will be more aggressive against a champion.

He may not even consider that a win if the judges will try to manipulate the score card. This is not an exhibition match like what happened in the undercards of Pacquiao vs DK Yoo, and I doubt judges will also be from that place and this is to avoid that kind of incident. Yes, let's forget there will be a force that will do that kind of bad intent. But just for the discussion's sake, there will probably be an investigation if they do. With 2 titles on the line, they won't just sit and let it go if it's too obvious.
