We cannot really blame them if that's what they wanted, after all, Inoue is a precious cash cow to Bob Arum and therefore he cannot really afford to see Inoue depreciate its value if in-case he is defeated. Anyway, there was once a supposed fight between the two of them but because of Covid-19, it wasn't pushed through. Now that they are both in the same division again, I hope their path will cross once again because people are already rooting for this to happen.

If only Casimero just did the right thing, then we should already see him clashing with Inoue. It's not being Inoue being a cash cow and they didn't avoid Casimero. It's just that Casimero is the reason why he become out of the discussion. I don't think Inoue is afraid of Casimero and even though I'm with Quadro Alas here, I didn't expect that he will have an easy win against Inoue.

More importantly, Casimero should not just pick top boxers but just negotiate a deal even with those below rankings just to have an active fight. As long as he keeps and continues winning, he will gain his rank and later on, will be included in the contender's discussion.

With all the things happening right now, i don't think Inoue is afraid of our "kababayan", in fact when they were still in the bantamweight, the Japanese Monster was calling out Casimero and the latter should have fought Inoue if not for their foolishness.

It's just that Casimero had a high chance of winning against Inoue due to his speed and power if we compare to the other opponents of Inoue. That Butler unification fight was a gimme because he was not as talented as Casimero and if we look deeper, Inoue have not fought boxers who is equally dangerous to Casimero lately so if Casimero vs Inoue will puh through then this would be exciting.

@bisdak40. Agreed and it would be in a higher weight division where Casimero will not he overweight similar to what he has done in the bantamweight division.

In any case, what is the latest news? Is this fight only postponed or is there a chance of a cancellation? This might give a chance for Casimero to enter the show if he can challenge someone with a high rank in super bantamweight.

Casimero will be having a match against an unknown boxer this coming May, I think the chance of fighting the current champion of his division is dependent on his performance in his upcoming fight.  If he shows great dominance in his fight he might get an opponent at a higher ranking position then a possible title shot if he will dominate or KO'ed his next opponents.

As of this moment, Casimero needs to convince the boxing council that he can give an exciting fight against the champion.

~snip~
In fact, Lens is superior to Rennes in the results of home and away matches and also, in their first meeting this season, Lens was still able to maintain its dominance when playing against Rennes. Also, the odds currently available at least don't have a significant difference so even though Lens is playing away, I'm sure Lens will still not be easy to beat.
Of course Lens cannot lose in this match, because Lens' position is threatened by Monaco who are in fourth place with only three points gap. So yes, even though in the match Lens will not be easy to win, then a draw is enough for Lens to maintain its position in third place in the Ligue 1 standings.

Lens certainly cannot lose this match. But another thing is they are also in a better form compared to Rennes. I know we are talking about Lens not closing this match, but at the same time, Rennes cannot also lose the match as well. Because if they lose they can go down in terms of positions on the table. So this is going to be a very competitive match between the teams which are at the top of the table right now. This can very well be a draw.

To be honest, I can't assume too much yet. because, I don't have much up-to-date information from the two teams that will compete. even so, this fight will not be easy for Lens to overthrow Rennes at their own cage. because, Rennes has a good record when carrying out his matches at his own headquarters. of the 14 matches they played at home, Rennes were able to win 11 matches. so, it's not an easy matter for Lens to gain full points. moreover, Rennes has a big motivation boost after successfully overthrowing PSG. at least, they will try their best to get points in the next match, including when they host Lens.

On the other hand, Lens has a pretty good H2H encounter against Rennes. in the last 5 meetings, Lens was able to win three matches and the rest were draws. however, it is not an easy job to overthrow the home team. My prediction for the time being, this match will be won by the home team or end in a draw.
There has been a lot of difference between the League One teams. Like most of the teams are not getting along with the PSG team. Basically what I'm trying to say is that Ligue 1 needs to improve a lot with some teams that can compete with PSG teams so the league is going to be really solid.

Everyone talks about PSG, Rennes and yes, now Rennes is being Seen as a strong team just for the fact that they Beat PSG and with respect to PSG badly, because even Messi was yelled at in the stadium "Cold chest" these Things are very strong, Messi is one of the most emblematic players, it's like saying CR7, when they start having to deal with things like this the best Thing is to leave,Because if he insists things can get complicated, I Would love for him to go to Saudi fútbol But of course not everyone sees things that way, let's see if they want to go to Bayern.

PSG president gives update on the futures of two club stars

Quote
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has revealed that he and the club intend to keep hold of both Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi beyond this season.

There has been plenty of transfer rumours surrounding the players in question, most recently Messi, who has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia by Spanish outlet Marca in the past week.

But it looks like both Messi and Mbappe will be staying put in Paris, with Al-Khelaifi reiterating to Marca (h/t 90Min) his stance on the situation of his two most valuable players.

“We are lucky to have some of the best players in the world, who wanted to play for PSG despite receiving offers from other clubs.

“We are working to keep them going. We are going to analyse what we are doing and make sure we can continue with them; we want to do things accordingly. We are not going to make mistakes.”

Mbappe, who has 31 goals in 33 matches this season, is contracted to PSG until 2025, while Messi’s situation is a little more delicate as his deal at the Parc Des Princes expires in June.

PSG boss Christoph Galtier also had his say on the contract situations, specifically Mbappe’s, keeping rather shtum on the idea of an exit for his player and fellow Frenchman.

“I do not have to try to convince Kylian to stay.

That would be a great fight - Fulton vs Casimero. If Casimero wins, then Inoue will be the challenger against Casimero. If he does not fight Casimero, that would conclude that he is really dodging him.

As for Inoue's injury, there is no news about its development yet. But I guess it isn't serious, so he'll likely make a comeback this year.

Agree to this statement, if Casimero will convince the council chances that they will set him to fight with a much
higher ranks from this division or they might set him up and give him that opportunity to fight the champ.

All will be dependent from how he will bring hypes to his upcoming fight and drives the attention of both fans and the organizations.

Who knows if they will allow him to challenge Fulton because of the postponement of the fight against Inoue.

And as I expected, it's a hand injury that he suffered during the sparring session, and if I'm not mistaken Inoue has history of this kind of injuries. Might take time though, 3 months maybe before he can go back to sparring again and try that hand?

In the past, many KO artists for their hands destroyed as well. Floyd Mayweather JR. used to be a KO artist as well and then his KO rate dropped heavily as he started to move up in weight. But he did mention that his hands are broken, luckily for him, his got the skills to win thru decisions and a very good defense. Nonito Donaire at one time had swollen hands after his fight with WV2. The skull is one of the hardest bones right?

Speaking of Casimero, his past report to Pacman about the mishandling of its MP Promotions president Sean Gibbons might lead to the appointment of a new MP Promotions president. Casimero seriously needs to stay active though as he is not getting younger and he is in a bigger division as well. Just stay active and these sanctioning bodies will rank him higher since he is already a proven fighter, being a 3 division champion to his credit.

Agree to this statement, if Casimero will convince the council chances that they will set him to fight with a much

All will be dependent from how he will bring hypes to his upcoming fight and drives the attention of both fans and the organizations.
Who knows if they will allow him to challenge Fulton because of the postponement of the fight against Inoue.

This is not the first time when it comes to Inoue's fight to be postponed, they might just not want to put high risk when it comes to his next fight because they are taking care of his clean record and current popularity. it's really bad to see them postponing this one because everyone seems to look forward to seeing Inoue's fight in this upper division but that does not really matter for them because this is how boxing nowadays, they become so soft that even a small injury will become a reason for a fight to be postponed which was not the case in the past.

For now it seems that the fight is going to be scheduled sometime or until his injury is totally 100% healed.

And as I expected, it's a hand injury that he suffered during the sparring session, and if I'm not mistaken Inoue has history of this kind of injuries. Against Omar Narvaez and we all know that Inoue punches so hard, that's why it's just a matter of time before he broke his hands. Probably the same case with Canelo as well, punching so hard in the mitts, or in the actual fight causing them to have this injury.

Yes, Floyd was notoriously known to have brittle hands when he goes up in weight. And if I'm not mistaken, there were some controversies as he got a shot of Lidocaine in his hands which is illegal in some state, but perfectly legal in his home town of Nevada. And what it does is that it numb the hands of Floyd so he can go and continue to fight even with this kind of conditions.

And again, if my memory serves me right, Inoue is using Cleto Reyes gloves, which is the favorite gloves for punchers like him or Manny, it has less padding though, that's why boxers who uses this tend to get injured. So there's also this important aspect of choosing the correct gloves for boxers as it can literally break or make them.

There's video of Pacquiao and Donaire talking about the case of Sean Gibbons hehehe.

Not clear though because the audio is not good, but you can hear Manny saying that Sean uses his name  Grin

Yes, I also believe on the same thing. There is no such thing as Inoue scared to fight Casimero, I mean, Inoue already proved himself and already dealt with a lot of boxers that have a good names in the industry. Those facts alone are enough to say that Inoue wasn't scared at all, it's just that the circumstances between them became a stumbling block why the fight didn't materialized. These two got two chances to face but fate is not yet ready because no matter what angle we see, Casimero is not fitting anymore at 118 and what happened to him against Butler was imminent.

As per the latest news, this fight has been postponed. If Inoue needs more time to recover, then the fight may be cancelled. I'm not sure if Casimero is ready to fight a champion in this division yet. He may still need more fights to climb up the rankings and become a top challenger.

Hopefully Inoue will recover in a quicker time frame, but like what you mentioned, it can be cancelled if Inoue will be needed to take more time in curing the injury that he has right now.

In terms of Casimero, there' are still lots of challengers in this division before he can have that chance to challenge
the current champ. Or, if pressure from Fulton's camp will see the big potential of a money making fight for him.

Yes, if fate will turn that way, I mean if chance opens up for Casimero to fight Fulton for the title match and manages to win it against the current champ, we might see the possibility that Inoue will challenge him instead of Fulton.

If Inoue would not do it, we can then conclude that he or his camp is really avoiding Casimero, but I'm still
positive that if a case like this will happen, we will expect both camps to sign the contract and bring it
inside the ring.

We don't know, this injury of Naoya Inoue might open some doors to Casimero to step-up and fight Steph Fulton before the champion climbs the next weight class and if that happens, that will be a big thing to Casimero and hopefully he won't do such thing to waste this chance as this is the only way to make Inoue come to him as if he will succeed, that will mean that Casimero will be the new 2-belt champion and an encounter between Naoya and him is almost inevitable.

I'm saying this despite the fact that Casimero already got a bout this coming May because there is some rumor that I've heard that Casimero's fight is not yet a done deal, in other words, it's still blurry to fully materialize it. So, we don't know, there might be some twists in the coming weeks.

All will be dependent from how he will bring hypes to his upcoming fight and drives the attention of both fans and the organizations.

Fulton seemed ready to fight Inoue regardless of the circumstances, so unless the recovery of Inoue will take a long time I could see him waiting for him, however I would not be surprised if then Inoue preferred to get an easy fight first to see how his hand is doing and only then fight Fulton, this could open the opportunity for Casimero or other boxer to fight Fulton and then we could finally see Fulton fighting Inoue, Casimero vs Inoue, on the case Casimero happened to beat Fulton, or simply the fight gets canceled as Fulton moves up a division.

Well, no matter how ready Fulton is, it looks like the camp of Inoue had already announced and canceled the fight that is supposed to be scheduled on May 7 since Ioue believes that he won't be at 100% condition due to the suffered injury.  It is understood since the injury happened on his fist, it might be difficult for him if it is not healed completely.

however I would not be surprised if then Inoue preferred to get an easy fight first to see how his hand is doing and only then fight Fulton, this could open the opportunity for Casimero or other boxer to fight Fulton and then we could finally see Fulton fighting Inoue, Casimero vs Inoue, on the case Casimero happened to beat Fulton, or simply the fight gets canceled as Fulton moves up a division.

It is possible for Inoue to have a tune-up fight but if he does that, he would be giving other boxers more chance to fight Fulton.  And we all know Casimero and other boxers are also eyeing the title bout.  So I think there is also a possibility that Inoue will go directly for a championship fight reducing the possibility of other boxer getting his chance.

Depends on Fulton if ever he would really be tending to wait up for Inoue then he wont really be deciding on leaving that division unless if he wasnt really that looking after for this fight then he would just simply pursue
on what are those things to have on his mind. It is really just that sad that Inoue did really commit out some injuries before the fight  which it isnt really that something considering that this could happen
on any sports events or match ups.Honestly we are really that wanting to see this one but we know that extreme preparations could lead up into injuries which they should really be
minding since from the start but well inflamation of tendons doesnt really last up?

i know the feeling of anticipation for this fight, however, it is good that inoue is just true to himself and disclose his injury. unlike some boxers who were injured before the fight, and they will reveal later on that they were injured, hence, the loss. so much better this way, tell to the boxing community he's not 100% up to give his best performance. now, we don't know if fulton can wait or they will just go separate ways for the moment. in any case, bets are off on this one.

Yeah, you are right on this one on which it is really not that good on going or proceeding on a fight with having those non-disclosed injuries on which same as you said that most of the time where lossers does have their own set of reasons on why they had lost or simply giving out some reasons just to cover up the shame which is totally a shit behavior of a certain boxer or even on other sports as well.
As for Fulton then what i do have in mind is that he would be might waiting for Inoue to heal up because if we do look on how high the hype around between this two then he wont really be that
dumb on not to compare and see on how much he would purse up for this fight rather  than on going into those ordinary fights if he would decide to step up or wait for another unknown opponent.
