His trainers would have definitely advise him on what he must do but yeah, during weigh ins there's still some boxers that do have problem on the actual day. But on his case, he's been a world champion and has gone through a lot of fights and with this small adjustment, he'll for sure will be good when the weighing in day comes.
They are moving up the weight division, so definitely, his camp knows what they are going into. They won't decide on this matter if they knew Inoue would have hard time catching up on this weight class. As it is only 4lbs, would not be difficult for him. So my guess is that Inoue can easily achieve and train on this weight. Right now, the early odds are favoring Inoue with some of the bookmakers giving him at 1.41. Though it is too early, but I believe bookie will indeed favor on Inoue for this match. It's only a few pounds away so the adjustments will be easy on them. And as there's no more challenge on the former division that he's been reigning and dominating, this is a good movement for his further career. It's a wise decision for him and his team to get into this upgrade. The odds may be in favor of him because the crowd knows how this monster fight. Well, the odds may change as the fight approaches but I think that it won't change a lot and that will definitely close to one and favoring Inoue. So, money on the line and if you guys think that Fulton got what it takes to beat Inoue, think of it and there's an ample time to think of.

Here, despite Stephen Fulton is the champion, still Inoue is a more popular because he already cemented his name when he become an undisputed bantamweight champion, and not only that win but most importantly the manner on how he won those fights.

Exactly the reason why I am viewing the same thing that Inoue might the one who will be favored to be listed as the favorite in his fight against the champion, Stephen Fulton. Moreover, the bookies knew the fact that Inoue got more fame than the current champion and can attract people towards him and frankly, that might be one of the reasons that the bookies are watching. What I'm trying to say here is that we know that the bookies are specifically there to make money for a living and not the other way around, so, if they will list Inoue as the underdog, it will be risky for them as Inoue's prowess might prevail in this fight. But I'm inclined that the odds aren't that far in gap.

Are odds for this fight out already? I looked through my favorite bookies and it is still not there but i do think Inoue would be the favorite in this fight because of the hype he got during his bantamweight days. No offense to Fulton fans but at least for me, Inoue is more popular than him so this one factor is also the reason why he will be placed as the favorite but for me this is not an automatic win as we all know that Fulton is undefeated and a bigger fighter than Inoue so this one more interesting, let's see if Inoue could bring his speed and power to this division.

I think no official odds yet but as usual, there are speculated odds provided by some boxing analysts or boxing review sites. As for what is shared here in this thread, the 1.4 odds for Inoue is really a good catch since he always got odds below 1.2 or even rarely had 1.1. If crypto-bookies will list this fight, I will surely take advantage of that odds as regardless of the winning method, the goal is for him just to win the match. Fulton is considered the biggest challenge so far in Inoue's career and the Japanese admit it. Either KO or Decision, I'm seeing Inoue winning this match.

Current form of the fighters, including their training and preparation for the fight 3. Injuries or other factors that may affect the outcome of the fight 4. Public perception or hype surrounding the fighters since Inoue had better recent performances and records, bookies will really consider him as the favorite. The additional weight will not make an impact on his speed and power in fact it will add more, after Pacquiao I consider Inoue to be a breakthrough fighter like Pacquiao he has a chance to reach the level of Manny Pacquiao, remember Manny started in the lowest category and he moves up slowly and conquered every division that he landed, now Inoue will have a chance to trail Pacquiao's path and I believe Fulton's belt and title will be added to Inoue's journey to greatness.

What do you think? is that 1.40 is still attractive to take or we will just bet on Inoue winning KO, probably that would give a better odds.
Since creating a big noise in his name in the world of boxing and later on called "The Monster", I don't remember Naoya Inoue being given a @1.4 odds by the bookies. He's always the Favorite but this time, that might be the highest odds I saw for him by the bookies. To maximize the advantages of betting on Inoue though, better wait for other betting options. As of now, the fight is still in the progress of finalizing everything but it's almost close to being done deal. Yeah, if I'm not mistaken, against Butler he was like 1.02-1.04 ML favorite. So maybe this is just giving respect to Fulton as he is the champion and then Inoue climbing to 122 lbs and we really don't know what he can bring into the table. Nevertheless for us, it's not good to bet on the ML, I would rather wait for more betting options first, like the Over and Under rounds. Or maybe the knockout odds as well, but perhaps this is what everyone is anticipating so it will not be attractive. The odds have nothing to do with the respect thing or something along those lines. Bookies have their own factors on giving the odds and maybe, all factors that they refer really favors Inoue even if he's the challenger here. Going back to the odds, if @1.4 will really be given to Inoue once the odds are out officially, including the crypto sportsbook, that was worth placing a bet. As I said, I can't remember the Monster being given with such good odds to consider.

Fulton may look like a strong contender against Naoya with his sterling record, but he will still be devoured alive by the monster in his own backyard. Although this is another weight division, this move is nothing too much for Naoya.
And since Fulton is not a knockout artist, he will either be strong enough to withstand Naoya's powerful punches or dance around to last the whole fight making points. Or he will give in and fall.
Naoya is definitely the heavy favorite in this match.
Yeah, we can say that way that he is the heavy favorite with along that line of 1.40. And I guess the rest of us here will agree that even though Fulton is tough, it's a different fighter in Inoue that he will be facing and this could not end very well with Fulton as he might face the canvass in his career and lost via knockout. He almost goes down to Brandon Figueroa's punches with no power. But with Inoue, just a single power punch or even that stiff jab could make Fulton stumble. That's why that 1.40 odds is still very attractive, bet big on this fight as Inoue will not allow to lose, he is undefeated and called a monster for a reason. Though it's a heavier weight Inoue is still very comfortable here, his first fight should be impressive as he will send a message to the others. 1.40 is good enough. I think Inoue will have this fight. But the odds I just saw is only 1.37 for Inoue. This might even go down when released by major betting sites. Not only is Inoue the better fighter, he is also way more powerful than Fulton. He's got more speed as well. Aside from all this, he will also be fighting in his hometown in front of his own people. Everything is advantageous to Inoue in this match. It doesn't matter much now even if Fulton is undefeated and is a champion.

It's not surprising if the bookies will consider Inoue as favorite because of his records. But Fulton is also a champion and has a impressive records as well so we should not underestimate him as the underdog in this fight. I'm not familiar with Fulton so I watched his previous fights and I can say he is also a good fighter and a perfect match for Inoue. Anyway, is there a final venue and date for this fight?

so this will be the New territory for Naoya Inoue ? now from 118 He'll climb up to 122 to create a name in higher weight , can't wait to see His domination in this new division . Looking for Odd to put my bet as i did not expect Him climbing this soon but taking chance to win here is my take now But it seems Fulton will face Figueroa first on February 26, if he lose this fight could be cancelled and Inoue will fight Figueroa instead. yeah . Fulton needs to cross Figueroa first before this great moment fight against japanese monster , but I think Fulton is up to Figueroa so the chance of being cancelled are thin . 1 month to go for the finalization of Inoue vs Fulton match up . since Inoue had better recent performances and records, bookies will really consider him as the favorite. Also, with the public perception that Inoue despite climbing weight, will beat Fulton.

He is a good fighter against all those opponent he defeated that is NOT Inoue. Fulton is pretty flashy, has a good speed, and head movements. However, his power punches does look like it's really lacking power. Inoue also has exactly the same attributes, but he has way better punching power and boxing IQ level. Judging on all their previous fights, I can easily tell, this is going to be an easy fight for Inoue.

I mean, Inoue is just too talented that no boxer could ever match him, that's why we are expecting that despite him moving up in weight, he can still dominate the weigh class, and it will start by beating Fulton.

Alright! Hopefully, Fulton is committed to the challenge and is willing to travel to Japan. And I am also hoping that Fulton put this matter into his own hands and stops Al Haymon of PBC from deciding what to happen next to his career. Earlier, it was announced by the WBC to let Fulton and Figueroa do a rematch at 126 for the vacant WBC or the interim belt depending on the outcome of current 126 WBC champion Rey Vargas who's also moving up to 130 for the vacant 130 WBC belt. If Vargas losses at 130 then he can remain as champion at 126 and face the interim champ. I wonder what will be the reaction of Al Haymon after the arrangements earlier will be canceled due to Fulton's willingness to give Inoue (a rival Top Rank fighter) a shot at his 2 belts.

Gonna be hard for Fulton though, unless he separate from Al Haymon, but in any case, if he agrees to fight Inoue in Japan it could have been with the blessings of PBC already? or it is they just agreed in principles and then anytime Fulton can says no and go up to 126 lbs? And I'm not aware that the rematch with Figueroa will happen in 126 lbs? it should be in 122 lbs since that is their first fight? Anyhow, let's see how it goes for Fulton and Inoue here, hopefully the fight can happen as schedule around April-May in Japan.

Another great fight of the year if this actually happens. Naoya Inoue somehow I always look forward to his match. I hope the official fight date comes up soon and no drama the fight gets canceled for some reason. Even though Fulton is ESPN's number 1 boxer at 122 pounds, I think Inoue will easily beat him. I think moving up to 122 pounds of course is easy for Inoue, I'm sure Inoue will beat Fulton in the ring. It is possible that Fulton will be the victim of Inoue's next knockout.

Inoue needs to grow His career Up and he will not have it if not taking one step forward , he had been dominating the Bantamweight division for years and I think he becomes boring not having a best opponent so this is the best move to challenge His skills and capacity, though Fulton is really strong and skillful , yet Naoya is his best opponent for this title match.
He has nothing to accomplished in 118 lbs, he has all the belts and clean up the division, beating the likes of Nonito Donaire in the process. So it make sense for him to move up and again unify all the belts in super bantamweight because it will be history. I like the fact Inoue is setting himself for bigger things than just dominating his division, on the whole history of boxing not many boxers have become undisputed champions at two different weight divisions and it is obvious this is what Inoue is going to try to do, and while becoming an undisputed is without a doubt a testament to his skill, if he could do this on a second division this will make him a legend fans will always remember fondly.

For any boxer then pretty sure that most of them would really be having that kind of target or pursuing a career on holding up different belts for different weight divisions and this is where Inoue is really trying to pursue on and of course he would really be starting up to climb up the ladder on which Inoue is been trying out and lets see that he would be able to cope it out and dominate this current weight class that he's tending to touch up.It is really just that it is that too fast on dealing with Fulton? Im not really that have doubts on Inoue's capability but pretty much sure that this wont really be a walk in a park type of fight that he would be facing on.

Inoue is a hungry boxer, I think he's want to collect any title if he's given a chance to get it and we need to respect for Fulton which not scared to fight with Inoue, because we've seen a lot drama where a big fight get cancelled, postponed, dodged, etc because there's a politic on the boxing organizations. There's might a reason if Inoue think he's still in prime and he have higher chance to win rather than waiting when he's get older and older.
