Right, so basketball was something I didn't really know how to pick, but I made Canada my semifinal pick deliberately. I knew they would finish 3rd in their group, but their score average was quite high in Group A. Aaaand I thought they would be better players than Turkey, the opponent I thought they'd get in QF. Switched off the score when Turkey got a 12-0 lead ha so my hope there is over. So much for trying to get smart.

Good for me, my opponent will only get 2 correct max (USA and either France/Serbia who play each other later). I already have one from Spain, so we will at worse, draw this question, giving me the victory this round.

My team when I played amateur league in my capital was actually called Grasshoppers, but I understood at the time, this was a sort of relic from our founder's original local team in Switzerland. Back then I was not really too exposed about football outside but we also had funny names for amateur teams -- usually once it goes semipro then it adopts a city/town name because of funding.

My futsal team of my closest friends, we played for years, was "Borneo Headhunters". I use that name on my FPL =D

Haha great name Borneo Headhunters huh, should be good When your team score a header  In basketball team I watch couple of games and we (Türkiye) got a pretty good team and all off them fight to death so I picked them, but still I'm shocked after Canada's bad our good performance so far, 30 58 ht result and we are dominating in every way in the field.

Really like the addition with the VAR Rule but it's quite unlikely that I will be able use it because of the time difference but who knows.

And I just realised that I am really not up to date with some sports.
Always when I think of E-Sports then only Starcraft Brood War and pros like Tossgirl come into my mind.

Congratz mate @jayce, I will not get any point from the U19 Basketball question because Brazil didnt make it through. At the best available result, it would be a draw on #7 question which put me 1 point behind of you regardless of the remaining questions so there you have it this round

And if I loše it, you are gonna win and I will mark another loss in the Div 1. It looks like the Div 1 is really tough. I do hope I will nit get relegated right away...

Yeah right, I was on the verge of submitting my post before the notification of a new post popped up and it was your post, I guess I was right after all, I was confident of Turkey winning but Serbia losing like this isn't something I foresaw at all.

After seeing a disappointing Serbia losing due to a beating, the only thing left is the F1 question that will define whether I win the round or stay in a tie, I hope some of the drivers get the podium, because I want to score the first 3 points this season

We could write vanilla questions but that seems much more boring to me. That story we give in front of question is just that, a story that helps you see our mindset and some of the reasons why we included it in the form. All those tennis questions can be made just in a way "We have tournament in the Rome, name finalists and winner". And now you are giving us problems because we want to do more? Feel free to disregard the story part of every question, only the question itself is important when answering and I already told that at least twice here in the thread. We double and triple check the questions itself but story part I am writing from my head and could have misleading stuff in it. It doesn't usually, but it could, especially by the time of deadline. Don't know how my colleague does it

The story section is usually useful, especially when it comes to the players who are still in the game, but don't use it for unknown sport like DOTA or difficult sport like tennis  You guys put in a lot of effort creating those questions every week, and we appreciate it. Maybe we'll get to the point where we start employing AI to produce random sports questions for us to reduce burden on the backend. 

One sport I would love to see this season is the MMA main cards.

This all round was one big mess for me.
France had good results in previous competitions but I didnt expect they would destroy Serbia so easy.
I think USA will be the end of the road for France, and I am expecting USA vs Spain to play in final.

The F1 question is likely going your way since Leclerc and Sainz are starting in the second and third positions.  There's still a chance that mistakes happen, but it's not a good sign for us who predicted "no".
