That's quite a good way to end the season, imo, although I could have done really better If I had not drop significant points in the first half of the season, but this is by far the best form competition, I mean h2h style compared to normal pools, bar the number of players that gives away free points/wins to their opponent as such making it unfair to others players.

I didn't participate in the BSFL because of its being very complicated. However I have changed my mind about this and I would like to join you guys in this league soon. I have been following the league and cup formats from a distance for some time and I think that I have figured out the whole system. After that it started to look really enjoyable to me.

As it is going to be my first time in a different format like this I feel excited and look forward to the Season 2. It looks like this league can even be more fun than the other pools on the forum.

Welcome aboard I guess, dont forget to check up the registration thread. Its not really going to be any different formal though on season 2 but its just going to be twice as many rounds compared to season 1 therefore there will be plenty more rounds to catch up in case if you are having a rough start

I havent really thought about this but yeah we are going to start season 2 on June which means there are going to be alot more questions outside of the regular top league. I know Trofo already said it but I have to say also, I'm really surprised by jeremypwr missing out on the inaugural by goal difference. Not that I didn't rate him highly, but it goes to show that you don't really need to have a "specialty" to do well, just good research and a good head for odds I guess -- on the other hand, knowledge can hurt you in a way, if I take into account the way I've picked I was always sure I picked what I'd bet on (that's a poor excuse for me finishing just above relegation but haha, I'll take it!).

I've finished high in some pools I didn't think myself good, and done really badly in competitions where I feel I should have a knowledge advantage (this season is some evidence of that). Why not join Div 3? Literally nothing to lose Off-topic, I might look you up for Excel services, I cracked my head some months back on some mega data file and wished I had a better head for it. I assume you also make Google Sheets?

It is true, that in the end everything turns out to be a bit of luck. But the fact of having little time available for a more careful follow-up in several sports, it would be very difficult to give a concrete answer to some questions. In turn, the short amount of time ends up not allowing you to be so focused. And I think I can give the opportunity to a more common player in betting.
