I saw the news earlier but Messi still played MLS games he was supposedly too tired to play, so I wrote it off. Thankfully, didn't need that point!

This was probaby one of the stupidest thing I have done for the entire season. I was basically submitting my answer last minute and a simple search of using simple keyword such as ' will Messi play tonight against Bolivia ' will show me that he wont be in the lineup. I was too preoccupied with the answers of Messi to score / assist with Argentina to win because he was pretty good in Inter Miami so I thought that I wont be needing that extra check anymore.

Tough luck but atleast we are currently 1-1 right now with alot more different answers between us

With this promo we'll also be testing the new excel format.
The spreadsheet will be visible, but the answers will be hidden. Therefore you'll be able to see who submitted and when, but you won't be able to see their answers until the deadline has passed.

We feel it brings an extra layer of transparency, if it will be ok we'll carry it over to BSFL as well.

I would say that was the difficult part because there was just no expectation for Messi to not play. I didn't check it at all and I also submitted relatively late. He recently said that he will choose to be substituted more frequently to save some of his energy. But who would know that he takes this sentence to the next level and skips an entire game just a few days later?

As for Harkorede not sharing his VAR, I think that's totally ok. Kudos to him for being on top of things. But seriously, I think it makes sense to watch out more frequently for thew news when Messi plays or is supposed to play for the Argentina team. I wouldn't be surprised if he does indeed skip games more frequently. I wonder if this has something to do with his nausea attacks he had for a long time. Here he said it was due to bad eating habits, but what on earth would a stay player at his level eat that makes him throw up all the time?

Nice! I cant wait for Champions league to start, and I am preparing for early research investigations.

I already answered all five questions but i'll submit mine during the weekend since it wouldn't hurt to hold for a few more days.

I think the essence of the VAR is personal, and it beats the purpose already, if everyone's throwing every possible answers here, I actually don't like the fact people drop answers to some question before round begins, It's understandable when it's just speculations but dropping real time answers beat the purpose of the competition especially knowing some players from the Clubhouse chat might not hang around this thread that often.

And on the Lionel Messi question I really didn't know if he was going to miss the game, the most I anticipated was a limited number of minutes and that was enough reason for me to change my answer, and If I had drop my intuition here and my opponent also followed suit on with my decision, I'd currently be trailing him.

The coach never said Messi wasn't going to play, all he said was Messi is available that if he wasn't available or ready to play he wouldn't have travelled with the squad for the Bolivia match, and that Messi being subbed of in the last game was a precaution and nothing more, my interpretation of his words is what lead to my decision, Bolivia was never an important or a tough team that the Argentines would need Messi's presence on the pitch for, so him not playing 90 minutes in the previous game, to was him saying he just needed much rest after the heavy fixtures of recent weeks in the MLS, and I just presumed travelling with the team for the Bolivia match was to fulfil is obligation as the team's captain and would likely sit that one out.

Sharing a tip is fine by me as well, but all I'm saying is that the questions being asked are just about bringing exposure to a lot other sports, Trofo sharing websites to find valuable information about tennis is a tip, and a lot of us discussing the lot possibility of certain football matches and the likes are tips especially when we there these series of questions that had to do with teams line up it was about Man United, and they had a couple of injured players before the international, I'm sure that should be a popular discussion on this thread.

Football is easiest sport to make any research on, but I didn't do that for the Messi question initially too, because I didn't watch the against Ecuador but I saw the highlight of the game and Messi score very late into suggested to me that he was definitely available for the.

The last question that involved Messi scoring against an opponent in the MLS, I chose no, and that cost me, meanwhile my reason for going for no then was because Inter Miami were 4+ Odds underdog If I recall correctly.

Or just like some weeks back when a Tennis player had withdrew from a tournament some hour even before the weekly questions was available, the new was shared here and that's literally supposed to be a void question because technically the player didn't participate in tournament, in that case. Despite following this thread heavily, I did missed that question, and the CRO had to come up with a had decision because they weren't aware either.

I feel like Isak is their best scorer but also not sure Europe effect so I think that was the hardest to answer

On the snooker question, I believe I used my Var and received a point from the game, but not for the person for whom I used my Var. At the end of the day, it was a waste of Var, but the information saved some asses.

Nope, can't use VAR after the first game. The deadline for VAR is 2h before the start of the game, the same as for submitting the answers.

There won't be a long wait, it isn't all agreed just yet but probably we will start with new season about a week after this one ends. Keep in mind that there will be cup games and promotion playoffs so most of the players will have a break of 2 or 3 weeks.
