The idea behind penalty points is to filter all the people that aren't engaged or taking this competition seriously enough to lower leagues and allow true sport fanatics to be in first 2 divisions.

agree here, penalties should be there (as you put them)
and one can see that both relegated teams from Div1 (nothing personal against them, contrary, just stating facts) had penalty points this season
so one can see that penalty rules are doing what you have said in your intent to enforce them

Elite! This is beautiful man! I'm short of words I'm crying right now. I will keep regulating the rules and make sure every team travel safely except Div 2 teams.

He's barely a deputy, and even the sheriffs are always in Mafia's pockets - everybody knows that.

I like the late submission rule, and it meaning an automatic loss for the player, I however don't agree with the potential -4 points, that is the penalty points, I believe one should not lose more point than they can gain from a specific round, in that light I suggest that penalty points should be an independent entity on it's own, and not technically associated with a user accrued points in the league, for unforeseen circumstance beyond human decision anyone could miss a round, I mean even team Cro2 stands a chance of failing to have a question available for despite that never being the case due to their extreme professionalism.

Penalty points would be better off being independent like I aforementioned, just like the VAR, let's say the maximum number of penalty (warning) points every user can get per season is proportional in terms of %age to the number of fixture available to them for that season, perhaps a maximum of 2-3 penalty points before an automatic relegation consideration regardless of where the user finishes by the end of the season while the first person on the relegation table if consistent enough with their submission gets to stay another season in their current division.

The penalty won't be -4 points, it will be the loss of the round, -3 GD and -1 point in the standings.
To be honest - I don't like extremely strict rules. But this is becoming a 10k$ prize pool competition in which we have to have the same rules for everybody.

Considering the nature of questions (different in dates, H2H number and complexity), sometimes a late submission made 2 of your questions invalid, and sometimes 5 of them. Not quite fair - which is the main driver behind the 'no tolerance' decision.

Speaking of VAR rules, did any club use all three trials last season? Nah? I used only 1/3 last season; is it possible to carry over the remaining two to next season?  I hardly ever use it regardless, just a suggestion.

I don't think so, no. We're happy with where VAR is at the moment and there are no plans to change it for the next season. 3 VAR's per player, and we'll track it of course.
Now there's an incentive to submit early, so we expect VAR to be used a bit more often.

As part of a freebet grading revamp, it might be beneficial to the player if he submits early.
We want to settle all freebets in the actual rounds, so that people don't have to fight for them for weeks.

The new rules for freebets are here:

There's also a slight change in how we'll calculate the freebet round winners.
First criteria will be total points, and only the best answer in the league will be able to claim the H2H point.
Second criteria will be all the H2H duels in that round between the tied players. If the player already claimed a point for the best answer in the league in a H2H question, that one will not be counted.
Third criteria in case there is still a tie after the H2H questions will be the time of submission - earlier submission will win the freebet.

Ah, I see. I remember that we talked about this some time during the last season but it looks like I missed it during this week conversation. I think it's good approach to settle all freebets in the same week. And it's less work for you guys.

Not gonna happen, it is really problematic to add stuff to Sporsbet mainpage. It is difficult to maintain as is with bunch of different modules.

Yeah, the problem is we can't view these business sites like a homepage where we can assign a user to just edit and add. Highly sensitive data in admin panel -- someone with admin rights has to design a new page and manually update it, it wouldn't be easy with externals.

There are BSFL logos included but it is very difficult to agree on stuff like that. For instance BSFL link should have been incorporated into previus sentece but got lost in the space until I sent it and it got published.

Just yesterday morning I spent 2 hours on the phone arguing about a charge of less than $7 (I got it back) and I realise these days I'm steadily playing with a lot as have not adjust BTC values down in a while. To be fair 2 or 5 makes no difference season-long BUT I suspect I have other sidebets waiting...

Thanks a lot mate, I have replied your private message with the specific details, this competition is actually becoming very bigger than anyone could have anticipated and at such even more engaging to say the very least in terms of the thread's exposure, I'm sure season 3 can only get better with the plans that have already been put in place for it.

My team are already having the greatest preseason and are highly motivated for the new season, this time the league is coming home!
