BSFL Season 3 Cup - Full Schedule and some info

We have 50 active players at the moment and we will have our main tournament as 32 teams, single round, knockout tournament. To make that happen we have 14 seeded players (top placed players in Div1) that enter the cup directly while 36 remaining teams will play qualifying round. Here is a full bracket for the whole tournament. We will also have a game for third place but the software I am using does not have that option The draw is completely random without seeded players.

Bracket will be updated after each round. Q1-Q18 are placeholders for winners of qualifying games.

This week we will have double round. There will be 5 question + penalty question for each round. Top 14 seeds can leave blank first 5 questions but I advise you will them up just for fun anyway. Questions will be live later today at usual time. In the cup rounds there will be no free bets rewarded, they will be used for rewards at the end of cup. Just look at my team. After losing to cryptofrka 7-1 in the last round, I managed to beat casperBGD who didn't lose one game in this season. And not only that. I managed to win the freebet award for this week. I guess that loss in the last round fired up my team so we managed to win against the leader of division 1.

That's what you call BSFL lol I sucked the whole season in first edition, I was pretty okay most second season and now another time back into division 1 and losing like shit.

Still hoping very much for a draw by winning the final question, I calculate if I can draw every round onwards I should still be safe. Can't believe I'm supporting Leverkusen and Lille to win today!!

Oh come on, I wrote that yesterday I was content with getting a draw just in case I lost on question #10 but it sucks when it really happened. Chelsea and Lille didnt win, this instantly puts me on a draw . My luck is freaking disgusting sometimes and I guess Its almost official that I gotta bid goodbye on my chances to get promoted. The Cup rewards will be the following:

1st - 7 mBTC
2nd - 5 mBTC
3rd - 3 mBTC + 50$ freebet
4th - 2,5 mBTC
5-8th - 70$ freebet

The escrow wallet holds 242.7 mBTC.
The league rewards are 220.5 mBTC (172.5+42+6), the Newcastle promo is 3.5 mBTC and the Cup is now 17.5 mBTC.
If my calculations are correct, that leaves 1.2 mBTC for transaction fees.

If I messed something up, we'll revise it of course - but I think my calculations are correct.

Few recent rounds were really bad for me, so, maybe it's not so bad time for cup. In previous seasosns I didn't managed to achieve anything significant in cup, but I hope to perform better this time. Yep, always a shame when that happens. As already said, we have voided the game.

Div 3A needs some explanations this time.
Coin_trader is disqoulified which means all his games are rewarded as 3:0 for oponnets. This made a lot of changes to the table and some of you profited nicely from this since you lost the game against him in the past.

There is also a curious case of ILuckyGuyI. He did not submit in round 1 and initially lost 3:0 to Coin_trader. This has now been changed to 3:0 win for him but he still keeps one penalty point for missing that submission.
We were talking a lot about this one and decided this is the most fair solution. Our reasoning went like follows:
*all disqualified competitors games must be 3:0 for opponents
*even though their opponents do not need to submit answers in that round at time of round 1 ILuckyGuyI had to submit since this was not known. That is the reason for keeping the penalty
*this is final decision and also a precedent for solving these situations in future in case we have them again

Honestly, after knowing that I have won the round, I didn't bother to check the final score. I was more focused on following how others are playing to see if I can win the freebet. If I'm not mistaken, this is the second freebet I have won since the start of the competition. I think the first one was in the first season when I was invincible in Division 2.

Now on to the cup. I got kicked out early in the first two seasons so I'll be looking to stay in the cup longer this time.

That hurts, I remember season 1 also, getting 6-6 and 0 points from a tennis question only I guessed one finalist right, but that's how it goes. Just collect the points/goals and the wins will come, it seems you will be very hard to beat. Unless you come against me again of course

Agreed, it should have been more clear. To avoid any misunderstandings, we mean the European games these clubs play on Thursday.
When we have 2 rounds of the Cup in 1 week, the questions of the first round must always be completed before the first question of the next round starts.

It is logical, but better safe than sorry. We'll write it down in the questions next time.
