Napoli played some tricks with Osimhen, claiming he is not going to play in this match, but he played anyway and that didnt help them at all.
If you think about Georgian player Kvaratskhelia Khvicha, he didnt play in this match because of muscle injury, maybe he got that against Greece few days ago.

I like Trofo's idea of adding "weight" based on odds. More incentive for players to take risk, means more exciting outcomes. Have a feeling it will mean even heavier defeats for me though heh.

We discussed it multiple times, it's really hard. All things must be taken into consideration, for example if we implement it, every round should have one.
I was also thinking about some kind of 'home advantage' a lot, but considering how the league is set up (there are 15 games) there's always someone at a disadvantage.

We are constantly discussing stuff but we need to be really careful not to introduce something that is broken or unfair.

Woah, if I see this correctly I am the only team in the BSFL round 4 table that has 0 correct answers thus far (apart from the H2H questions, both of which are not fully correct either). I am on a good way to finish this round with a 0/10 and leea-1334 didn't submit the answers. No sign from leea-1334 so far, still hoping everything is ok there. But regarding the round, not submitting the answers was probably the only way to lose this one against me... I doubt this would have somehow ended in a draw.

This is probably a prime example that submitting in time can always pay off no matter what answers you choose

Also mentioning it once again in hope all will see it, forgetting to submit slashes the rewards from this season as well. Still thinking we will get a shitload of heat when that happened end of season so trying to at least drill it into the heads of engaged managers so you can back us up and say we were actually talking about it all the time

Surely will back that up. I doubt that anyone missed that piece of information. At first I was considering chiming in with a suggestion that everyone should have one failed submission free of the reward penalty as bad things can happen in life and I would feel sorry for someone who may be having a tremendously hard time for whatever reason and then shit piles up elsewhere, too. But I can only refer to one of my previous posts: such a rule would probably get abused and everyone who fails to submit may come up with this tragic event that happened and therefore no reward penalty is applied. That's why I said the only way forward is a strict rule set and its enforcement and as you said, if someone is aware of a problem prior to a round, then I agree with you that postponing a matchup is a good and right solution that I presume everyone here would consent with. It could be up to the concerned team, but if someone asked me to postpone a round because there is surgery or something else, I'd always be fine with that.


Anyone saw the Tuchel interviews after that game against Dortmund? He always sounds and looks as if he needs to see a psychiatrist after his team messed up once again! He has this sad negative voice and wording. It's pretty unique for a coach to express desperation like that.

It is a fine line to thread. You have to go against the odds but usually it is not worth going too much against the odds if you know what I mean Taking odds of @3 rather @2 on a hunch is probably fine but going @6.5 instead of @1.1 like in Alcaraz case is a bit overdoing it. It is different when betting since it gets you much more if you win but in competitions like this you are bound to loose long time.

Maybe we will try to put some questions in the future that take odds into consideration. For instance H2H question, we give few teams and if you go for favorite it gives you 1 point and if you go for underdog it gives you 2 points.

For sure, I don't think I ever got the balls for going against 10x or higher in BSFL. Only in Champions League pot B lol

I think even 4x or 5x is 'sure' if you really know the team and really understand them and I don't even mean you need to be superfan, like Chelsea and Manchester United drawing, it's almost kind of a sure thing in every 2/3 matches, and if you really get the feeling for it, that can be safe!

I didn't miss it, I just never imagined I would ever be doing late submission, and it was from being totally stupid. I saved my answers for long time, but I watched the tennis score waiting to see if I should put in a change. I hope never again. It's different to forget, it's different to miss it just by being so stupid and forgetting to check/refresh that Google didn't log me out. -20% is very hurtful, but it's a good good lesson.

I already trialled internally one or two new systems and the amount of complications at both side (managing and coding for automation is actually simple, but trying to predict the 100 different ways users can fill it in wrong, or misunderstand the rules, or even consider it fair -- that's the real challenge. And difficult to implement/insert into an existing format.
