Actually the reason for this look is simple. Because they prioritize head-to-head games rather than goal difference. You can check out the information related to this situation on Flashscore also. It says "at the end of the competition" but I guess that it is calculated now too.

As Dortmund managed to win last night they have gained 2 places in Group F by only one game. Of course PSG's beating Milan in Parc des Princes also helped Dortmund quite much. I don't know how Newcastle couldn't score a single goal though. I really liked their effort in the second half. They were unlucky at the same time because they had some shots targeted the post.

This is indeed a strong group as you said. Although yesterday match i predicted Newcastle to win the game. Am still surprised the opposite happened. Well this is football and this is Champions league any team can turn out to be a threat regardless of the strength of that team in their individual league.
