Atletico Madrid has always had a very good record in the Champions League, and I do not believe they will be eliminated early at this stage as they look to improve their performance in the competition. Inter Milan's 1-0 victory was a good result because they were playing at home and gave it their all. The second leg at Atletico Madrid's home will be more difficult than the first. The game remains level to me, as the better team with the best performance in the second leg advances to the next round of competition. I can't underestimate Diego Simeone's capabilities; he is an experienced coach and has been successful to the finals several times in the champions league competition, so I expect a competitive match in the second leg between this two teams.

Yes, Atletico still has a chance to retaliate in the second leg, I think Diego Simeone's troops will play all out to turn things around. But Inter is still the top team, a 1-0 win is an important asset for the Italian representatives before playing the second leg. This season Simone Inzaghi has a fairly solid squad so that the Nerazzurri are progressing quite well in Serie A and the Champions League. I of course have high hopes for Inter and hope they can go further.

Seeing Inter's game in this match, it feels like Inter will qualify for the next round. Inter Milan's game is getting more solid and developing, just extraordinary. So Dortmund is a very strong team that can play on equal footing with the strongest groups, which is proved by the fact that from the group with PSG, Newcastle and Milan they went to 1/8 Champions League.

They should have won the match with PSV, but the referee awarded an extremely controversial penalty, which should not have been awarded, because the Dortmund player played into the ball, not into the feet of the PSV player and because of the referee's mistake Dortmund lost 3 points.

There is no doubt about Borussia Dortmund strength, and they surely can go into next round with their performance at home in second leg match even I am also feeling this penalty was not right, but now all ended with draw and good for the German giant to improve their performance in coming weeks for having good chance for the next round qualification PSV also done good, but they need more experience and quality performance for this level.

Overall both teams done good job in this game and having equal chances but still I have feeling Borussia Dortmund can do better, but they are having some problems in last few weeks which are not allowing them for having enough goals but still their chances are good for having good end in both leagues.

I think so too. I start from the assumption that a big team (Atlético is undoubtedly one) should score at least one goal in two games against any opponent. Therefore, Inter's 1 goal advantage is good, but definitely not enough. Plus, in Atlético's favor is the fact that now goals scored away are equal to goals scored at home, so even if Atlético wins the home game 2-1, there will be equality, not an advantage for Inter (as under the old rules).

I think the old rule still have a role to play, Inter Milan have more advantages at this point because of the 1-0 win against atletico Madrid, at this point in time inter Milan have been very consistent and effective with their style of play, i saw their game against Roma the other day, how they came from behind to win Roma, and I can tell you for a fact that they are currently in good shape.  So atletico Madrid might not easily turn things around when they have the return match at Madrid. If the game ends 1-1 then the away rules counts in favor of inter Milan, if it ends 2-1, it will still be in favor of inter Milan.

I don't think the old rule is effective any more. If the game happen to end 2:1 in the second leg, the game will go into extra time to actually determine the winner. Too many people are not focusing on the mainstream teams like bayern, real madrid and manchester city while there was a club potentially to be the biggest threat for all of them, namely intermilan. I rarely saw people talked about this club but it brings my attention caused by intermilan gone to the final last season.
It's quite strange even bookies were not also putting it as one of favorite team to win the competition. Im only wondering why that happens? It brings my attention caused by intermilan looked like very underrated team right now.

Bayern is recently sacking its coach and the club needs time to adapt with the new coach while real madrid was also missing bellingham but this has very big chance to get into at least semi final. Manchester city has haaland and debruyne back again in the squad.
So, i will not count bayern munich as this club still performs so poorly. I would rather than pick intermilan to be in the same level as madrid and city compared to the bayern munich.

The money used to buy kane mean nothing for the club. he has been impressing many people on his debut but this is not straight with his performance till this time. Kane is rarely scoring and i don 't know why he was losing his instinct to score.

Napoli Vs Barcelona 1st leg
I just looked up to the flash scores today and discovered that there is a very nice fixture in the Champions League between the Barcelona of Spanish la Liga and Napoli or serie A. I tried my best to come up with a prediction but it wasn't actually an easy thing for me to do. But then I still have to make an attempt.

It is understandable that both teams are not in their good form this season. While Napoli is troubled by the exit of their last season coach, Barcelona is troubled by a the history of non performance of Xavi in the European competitions. Barcelona has a more stable team but Napoli has more threatful players and have more courage about the Champions League. I might not be able to predict tonight's score but I will predict that Napoli will qualify above Barcelona.

Barcelona might be in a had position,  having issues  leaks and all that but when it comes to the Champions League Competition you have to understand that they're big dogs and have that upper hand with form and with whatever means they'd want to use to win. It'd obviously a win or draw in favor of Barcelona.

This should be the third time this season  they'd be sacking a manager in charge of the club, I wonder if they'd have a quick impact with those who have been appointed by the management right before  this clash against Barcelona.

I don't know why you think City cannot win back to back EPL titles, i mean, there is no complacency in the team at all, and Pep always gets his players fired up to win more trophies, notwithstanding how many trophies they have won in the past. Looking at all the teams that are in the CL right now, i think City have to be the favorites imo, they are stronger than all the teams and it would be so difficult to beat them in a two leg fixture. If City don't face Real Madrid until the final, then my prediction would be a City v Madrid final, and it would be a joy to watch.

I don't understand why PSV were favourites to win the game yesterday. Dortmund are playing against the strongest clubs in the Bundesliga and PSV just don't have the same competition as Dortmund. In the case of Lazio, PSV were lucky to score a penalty. That's the only thing that saved them from defeat. In the return game they will have no chance to get into the 1/4.
