I don't think that Zaniolo is injured now. Sometimes websites show some players like that but actually main reason behind is completely different. This is one of those example. Zaniolo has a quite big probability to leave Galatasaray this summer. Because according to reports Galatasaray are having issues with the Champions League FFP rules now.

If this is true then they need to work this out and reach a safe level before qualifying for the group stage. Otherwise they might need to face punishments later on.

Therefore a couple of players are likely to be sold this summer and Zaniolo is one of them now I'm afraid.

I can't wait for start of our league. I plan to watch Trabzonspor-Antalyaspor match this week. I checked odds, 1.51 for Trabzonspor win, 3.50 for draw and 3.93 for Antalyaspor win. I think odds favoring Trabzonspor is bit exeggarated. Trabzonspor nearly all new transfers are injured. Antalyaspor lost their best striker but defence line and midfield structure is nearly same. As weather is hot and players are not ready, draw is very very possible in this match.

I was sadly proven wrong as Trabzonspor won the match with just 1 goal. But still pretty sure many gamblers hit correct bets with this match as Antalyaspor's new striker is probably having adaption problems. Trabzonspor didn't play well. Especially after 55-60 minutes Trabzonspor's performance was drastically lowered. Trabzonspor is definitely not looking good competitor to big 3 teams to win title. Trabzon's bench is pretty below average even. Antalyaspor probably become middle rank team again tho.

It's a money issue and looking at how the big clubs have a lot more money and  they are playing with a lot better results, we could say that catching up to the top doesn't really need to be the priority at this moment. They have 4 teams going to Europe, 3 of them are at the conference league, and if they do well this season that means they could end up with a good result afterwards as well.

They are back at top 10 if I am not wrong (need to check this again to make sure) and I would say that even 9th is possible as well by the looks of it. This would mean that if Trabzonsport ends up with being top 4, then they could end up going to Europe and have a better return financially and do great job as well for sure.

Yeah financial status of Turkish clubs is undeniably bad. For example Trabzonspor's squad value is like half of Galatasaray/Fenerbahçe s squad value. That's huge difference for above average team like Trabzonspor. In past Anatolian teams could easily acquire better players from various leagues so if 1-2 players are good enough they could beat big 3. Nowadays only Başakşehir can get close to them. Trabzonspor is gonna look like weak team...

First games are not to be overreacted if you ask me. I could make a scene and go mad about the European games because we need the money and need to be in the UCL groups one way or another, there is no way around it and we have to get that money to be able to say the transfers were worth it and we could pay them. However, if we are talking about league games then I can be a lot more calmer because we have 38 games, which means we have 37 more games to play, no need to overreact on the first game. By that logic Bayern should fire Tuchel right away after first game was a loss. It will get better, we are going to be much better than this given enough time.

Galatasaray-Kayserispor match ended 0-0. As I said in the past days, there may be loss of points in the league for three bigs.

I have to admit that I didn't expect Galatasaray to start the league with a point loss. However, the Galatasaray players were generally not good in this match, but I liked Bakambu's performance. He didn't play static in a match where his teammates were very bad. Also, as a passing station, he challenged the opposing team's defense with his individual efforts. Okan Buruk made the right change by bringing Icardi on in the second half but Bakambu should have stayed on. Even after Zaha came on, Bakambu should have stayed on the pitch. He should have preferred to take more risks with his substitutions when the game was still drawn 0-0. Anyway, we are still at the beginning of the season so such a result can be considered normal.

I was expecting Zaha not to be able to play but it looks like my source was wrong about him. He was still new around here of course and he would need some time to adapt to the league and the team both. First of all I must admit that I didn't like Galatasaray defense in this match too. Kayserispor were able to find quite many goal chances one of which hit the post.

Galatasaray were able to create many dangerous attacks as usual but the problem was with finishing. Icardi was in the match in the second half and found 2 big goal chances. But he also wasted both of headers.

This isn't an ideal start for them but I believe they will improve their performance by the upcoming matches.

The Galatasaray defense had also made blatant mistakes in the Champions League qualifiers. Abdülkerim and Nelson are not yet fit. Also, we made a lot of transfers in every area, but we didn't sign a player who will increase the competition in defense. Even if these two players play badly, they will be in the starting 11 again next week. There were rumors that Sergio Ramos might transfer to Galatasaray. I think he would contribute positively to the team if he was transferred to Galatasaray. He would play as a leader in defense and be a threat for Abdülkerim and Nelsson. We have serious problems in defense. I hope the managers see that.

Trabzonspor beat Antalyaspor 1-0 first match of season. Trabzonspor hadn't well performance. But they still won 3 points. Trabzonspor will face Galatasaray next week.

Antalyaspor deserved the draw. Antalyaspor had a problem with the transfer process. Antalyaspor was able to issue licenses to its new players 4 days ago. Antalyaspor new footballers were probably had adaptation problems.

Looking at the statistics, he doesn't seem like a very good player. For that money, much more successful and younger players could be found. But Şenol Güneş seems to want to buy this football player. Trabzonspor president also talked about this situation. He mentioned that the team has a lot of debts. I think it's going to be an economically difficult process for them. It is very sad that a team that has won a championship in the past is in such a process.

I didn't like Galatasaray against Kayserispor even a bit. I mean they were able to create quite many goal opportunities but none of them ended by a goal. It looks like Icardi also needs some time to warm up for the season. Because he also wasted important opportunities indeed. But I'm not doubtful about his performance for the most part of the season.

When it comes to defending I agree with you @jakdanyel. They had worrying openings but thankfully didn't concede any goal. But the first week of the season showed clearly how much the players need to work harder. There is still much work to do to have the needed level of team chemistry.

Edin Dzeko surprised me a lot this night. I thought he was coming to Türkiye for holiday but his football seems very solid. His positioning and finishing were great all over the match. I think his physical shape is also good. He may really help Fenerbahçe win the title this season. Fenerbahçe is already having one of the strongest squads in the league and they keep on adding more players to their squad.

Edin Dzeko surprised me a lot this night. I thought he was coming to Türkiye for holiday but his football seems very solid. His positioning and finishing were great all over the match. I think his physical shape is also good. He may really help Fenerbahçe win the title this season. Fenerbahçe is already having one of the strongest squads in the league and they keep on adding more players to their squad.

I was surprised about him as well. I guess he took his venture in Fenerbahce seriously. He seemed in very top form and he scored easily. I was expecting Tadic to be great already but Dzeko has started great as well.

Although some great individual performances, the game was not good for Fenerbahce. On the paper, it should have been much much easier but Fenerbahce struggled a lot. Also, there was a penalty for Gaziantep but referee saved Fenerbahce. Of course it is only the first week but we can see that things are not just perfect and it is not a fairy tale. It will be a tough year for every team, regardless of how many big transfers they made.

First of all Dzeko really made a wonderful start to the season. There have been doubts about his performance due to his old age but he already scored 2 goals at the beginning.    He was nearly making a hat-trick as well if his shot didn't come back from the goal post. But he just met the expectations way higher in his first match.

I must add one thing for this match as well. I didn't like the management of the referee. I think he made some important mistakes. For example in the first half there was a clear penalty for Fenerbahce. The ball hit the Gaziantep defender's arm clearly and his arm wasn't next to his body. But despite looking into it by VAR there was still no penalty call.

Dzeko started the season well, everyone liked his performance. Fenerbahçe did not play badly in general, but we expect them to be better. so we may not have liked the football they played too much. It is something we expect to see disagreements within the team and not scoring many goals in the first weeks, the important thing is that we like the overall performance of the team

Galatasaray started the season away to Kayserispor. Galatasaray were expected win with plenty of goals. Because Kayserispor has a transfer ban. They could not make a transfer this season. But Galatasaray-Kayserispor match ended 0-0. Congratulations to Kayserispor players and Çağdaş Atan. They struggled very well. I think they deserved 3 points. I didn't like Galatasaray against Kayserispor even a bit. Galatasaray players were generally not good in this match.

I'm afraid Galatasaray are about to lose Paredes to Roma as well. Because even though there was an agreement between PSG and Galatasaray Paredes was still favouring Roma. He got what he wanted as Roma also made an offer for him. The deal is expected to be completed soon by Roma so Galatasaray will lose another defensive midfielder target to another team.

Galatasaray have completed Tete signing at least and he is currently the second most valuable team with 25 million euros. Zaniolo is the most valuable one but he is also about to leave the team soon. Aston Villa have been trying to finish the deal. Everything is ready for him but they are still waiting on Galatasaray to give green light.
