 Apart from getting injury Eric Bailly would make a fine player for the and is a very good addition to strengthen their backline and the good thing about this deal is that, they've got several options for that position in a case where Bailey sustains injury and they won't be much worried cause they got him for a free and could sell him off to the Saudi and benefit financially next summer, but one thing I like about the player is that he's very fierce on the pitch with his defense but just that it attracts cards to him alot.

Undoubtedly, Galatasaray are in a group they have little chances of progressing to the knockout stages of this season's UEFA Champions League competition but I think they have all it takes to be the dark horses of group A that comprises of Bayern Munich and Manchester United and quality from to the round of 16.
Bayern Munich I know are gonna make it out of that group but with the performances of Galatasaray this season when compared to Manchester United, they can best the English club and join Bayern Munich as clubs that'll make it out of that group

You logically say that Galatasaray spent the most money, but this is not exactly true. Galatasaray spent a lot of money in the transfer window, but they did it wisely and struck a better balance than their rivals. Fenerbahce have brought in quality players like Edin Dzeko and Tadic without paying a fee, but they were still not as successful as Galatasaray in this regard. There is a social media meme that sums this up. It doesn't exactly summarize the issue, but it explains it to a large extent. :)

Everybody know that transfermarkt valuations are absolutely wrong and nobody take them serious. I suggest you not to follow that site to avoid confusion. This chart is also laughable.

While Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe spent too much money again, Beşiktaş went towards more affordable players. The only exception would be Onana, I think the money spent for him was high. Other transfers are very wise, from Tayfur to Bailly. Fans want high profile players to join the team, but the important thing is not to invest in the name, but to select and recruit players who will contribute to the team. The squad is a contender right now, it could've been better but it's enough for now to stay in the race. Additions can be made in Winter transfer window.

Edin Dzeko has had a great career but I don't think it's right to compare him with Icardi because Icardi will play with Mertens, Zaha and Ziyech but Dzeko will play with Tadic and Cengiz. Icardi is surrounded by better players on the pitch and Icardi is younger than Dzeko. However, I think Dzeko is more successful than Icardi in terms of career. Dzeko played the Champions League final when he was 36. Icardi transferred to the Turkish League when he was 29. It is indisputable that Dzeko has had a better career, but it should also be accepted as a fact that today he is less effective than Icardi because of his age and position.

It makes me happy to see footballers like Icardi and Dzeko being compared in our country. The rivalry between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce has existed for over 100 years. I always want friendship to win.

We don't need more players in the squad as of now. Even the latest speculations have been about a centre-back and midfielder.

Getting efficiency from these transfers will be the most important thing for us. All of these transfers have been made for especially the Champions League and of course to maintain success in the Turkish Super League. Even if we continue on our way in the Europa League we can do a really good job with the current players we have.
