Liverpool won very comfortably and won 3-1. They beat Southampton, the team that will definitely be relegated from the league.

Liverpool got 2 penalties, it makes them easily won the match. However, Liverpool deserves to win, they very dominated the match. They made 28 shots, they actually can score more than 5 goals if they have more accurate shots. Yes, Southampton is no doubt that they will be out from EPL for the next season.

It's right Liverpool deserved the win they got but the referee was not fair  on Southampton the first penalty was a fair challenge that was not supposed to result to penalty secondly VAR is doing more harm in football than good. Southampton tried playing with one of the biggest team in the world right now and got a good result if not for few defensive errors they would have won the match. It's a good one for them.

It was actually quite surprising when Southampton took the lead in today's match but it seems that it was not enough especially with 2 mistakes that resulted in penalties making Liverpool comeback with a score of 3-1 in this match.

Quite happy to see Southampton get 1 goal first, it's just that the dominance shown by Liverpool is quite good in today's match which makes Southampton unable to focus especially to withstand the onslaught by Liverpool which makes them make repeated mistakes that make the referee give 2 penalties in this match.

But on the other hand, this penalty made Liverpool lucky in my opinion because it cannot be denied that if there were not many mistakes made by Southampton, this match could have been a draw but there were so many mistakes they made that made the previous advantage in the first half ended in vain.

Liverpool played badly in the first half. They took too much time and didn't maximize the balls they got. Conceded in injury time made Slot think to make substitutions with Harvey Elliott, Andy Robertson, and Alexis Mac Allister, and it worked to increase the game tempo. I admit Salah's role made Liverpool become impressive to stumble Southampton defends, Liverpool should think to extend his contract to honor him. So with this win, Liverpool is getting further away from Arsenal. Liverpool will lock in the title more faster if they can win the rest of the match. Liverpool just needs to win 6 matches to lock that because if Arsenal wins all the exciting matches, they can't surpass the Liverpool point.

I don't really underestimate a team like Nottingham Forest this season to be frank. They have been giving fine football this season but that doesn't mean they haven't suffered huge lost this season against Bournemouth when they lost 5 goals to nil. Football do happen indeed but the lost was still somehow surprising.

Pep Guardiola and his men definitely would be disappointed by the way.

Nottingham really made a big surprise in this game, they managed to beat Man City and maintain the third position. Well I really do appreciate their resilient and effort in defending in this match, and it's one of the season they are where they are now because they possesses a very strong backline, but I don't really fancies them in the uefa champions league, because their standard is way too poor to go into the uefa champions league and showcase why they are there, among the representative of the English club sides, they can't be defensive against a smaller opposition in the uefa champions league because it wouldn't bold well to see a situation like Nottingham Forest defending against an opposition like Celtic or a team like Victoria plzen, no disrespect to these teams I made mentioned, but their is a standard required from the top four teams that qualify for the uefa champions league, in England, which I strongly believe that Nottingham Forest can't be able to get up to that standard required, and that is why I don't fancy them to qualify for next year champion league competition, a uefa Europa league competition would be very much ok for their level, not the uefa champions league, though it's not their fault, the cause of their current league standings is the terrible form of Manchester city, Chelsea and even Tottenham Hotspur, if these teams where do well, Nottingham Forest would have been nowhere found close to the top four.

It wasn't actually a surprise because Nothingham forest has more form this season than Manchester city though many people think Manchester city will win but I didn't see that as possible because Manchester city has lost the scoring mentality, all they do now is posses and what is possession without scoring goal, it is a total waste of time and energy.They possed Nothingham forest and has more attempt and on target yet they lose the game.

You know not'for has been in their best performance right from day one of this season, which is why I'm not even surprised to see them performing this way. And with their performance I don't think if they can afford to lose anytime soon, because they will want to struggle to make it up to the top 2nd of the table. as you can see arsenal only have 3 point ahead of them so any slightest mistake from arsenal they will want to utilize the opportunity, This is why arsenal need to be very consistent so as to maintain their position in the table.

I'm more concerning about City's game rather than United. City's strong, but they fight a club that is at peak. I expect 50:50 situation in this game.

On other hand,  MU is facing a club that more structured, have better pattern, and more consistent than them. I think they will lose it, but can be draw if they get some luck, which unlikely to happen. That's why i'm picking double chance, but hardly to believe MU's game gonna end with draw.

Your nightmares came true. But unlike your expectation, Manchester City were the one couldn't score any goal.    The game was very boring by the way. I liked Forest's game more no matter what xGs of these teams say. They found more critical chances and finally scored one of them. Anyways, it seems like your other bets won yesterday. 2 remaining and it would be painful to lose from only one bet, even only one goal I should say.

Chelsea have a good chance to capture the 4th position today. I assume they wouldn't lose points against Leicester home.    I know their recent form is bad but this should never be a game they lose points in.

I agree with that because when on the field, unexpected things always happen and can change the situation, such as in the match between Arsenal vs West Ham, where in that match Arsenal had to lose narrowly to West Ham. and the red card that Arsenal got in that match was one of the causes of their defeat to West Ham.

That's if we talk about the possibility, but if we look at the performance between Arsenal and Man United at this time, it is very unlikely that Ruben Amorin's team can take 3 points from Arsenal.

While for the second half, it seemed that the half belonged to Liverpool, they really performed well and were able to score 3 goals that brought victory to Liverpool, with 1 goal belonging to D. Nunez and 2 goals belonging to Moh Salah.

Southampton got the lead in first half but they were not able to retain that lead for long, Darwn Nunez scored the equaliser for Liverpool in 51st minute. Southampton could have ended the game in a draw but two penalties conceded by Southampton helped Liverpool to register another victory of the season.

It was a good game and Nottingham showed with this win that they are still in the game and are not going to give up so easily. City after the defeat can lose their place in the top 4, if Chelsea beats Leicester then this will happen, I think that Maresca is capable of beating such a weak opponent, especially since they have quite a high motivation for this. And City still need time, they are not ready yet.

I started respecting Nottingham Forest from that day they won Liverpool at Anfield, ever since then i have been watching them closely and even at a time when they dropped in performance and Chelsea was in the second position i said that Nottingham Forest has a resilient spirit that can help them finish in a recognizable position and if time is not taking they will even dethrone Arsenal in the 2nd position which is very possible because they are just 3 points away from Arsenal which means that if Arsenal mistakenly loses 2 matches and Nottingham Forest wins their next two games they will surely overtake Arsenal in the second position. I also commend their determination in yesterday's game when they played against Manchester City and won 1:0, same score they got against Liverpool.

Even before defeating Manchester City in this match, Nottm Forest was in the third position of the points table but although they were in the third position of the points table, their points gap with Manchester City was very small, but they beat Manchester City in the last match and now they have confirmed the third position of the points table. Before the start of the match Manchester City was slightly ahead considering Manchester City's past statistics and other aspects but they performed really badly on the field and due to this poor performance they lost against Nottingham Forest. 

Earlier, Nottm Forest had 48 points after playing 27 matches, on the other hand, Manchester City had 47 points after playing 27 matches, but now Nottm Forest has 51 points after playing 28 matches and Manchester City has 47 points.

As long as they can perform as good as now. I'm not doubting them to at least reach R16. However, things may differ only if their performance go down so hard next season.

I know you're concerning their quality, but i'll put more weight into the consistency of squad. This has always been a key for a club to be a winner

You never know what a team that is cornered could do. United is in a unique position where they hired a manager, but they are not happy with what the manager has achieved so far. It means, if Amorim loses more games, he might get fired as soon as this summer, and United could try to get some superstar big name manager.

Imagine they somehow convince Pep to come join for like 40-50 million a year, that would be very fun to see, and they can afford to do that too, financially they have that money, and it would be better than spending it on players. However, we know that Amorim could keep his job if he keeps getting wins at the least expected places, United beat City this year if I am not wrong, Amorim period too, so if they win against Arsenal, that would help Amorim to keep his job.

If you ask me, I don't think anyone else could have helped this Manchester United finish even in top 4 this season.    I mean without bringing new players first.

Yeah you are right they may not have much record in the champions League but they can start making good record,  Nottingham Forest are playing very well this season and if they should continue like this or even add more consistency they will really go far in champions League next season, some people may think they will not go far in champions League because there are a lot of good teams competing but they forget English premier league is one of the best in the world and any team that is among the top three in the table can actually go for in champions League, the only reason they will not go far in champions League if they should go is if they drop form but if they are still consistent like this then surely they will go far, all the teams that has name today started one day and there are some players that made that possible so if Nottingham Forest players and coach decides to make a difference I believe they will.

In general, the level of competition in the UCL is more competitive than the EPL, especially now that the League Stage system is being used. This season Nottingham has made a big surprise after Newcastle and Aston Villa previously managed to finish in the top four. According to my observation, Newcastle squad at that time was better than Nottingham current squad, but Newcastle was not able to survive long in the UCL, maybe Nottingham will suffer the same fate as Newcastle if they do not strengthen their squad when they are in the UCL.

Yeah, seems like after Sir Alex Ferguson's reign, Mourinho was the next best thing that happened to Manchester United. But this addition of the likes of Ryan Giggs, Michael Carrick and Ruud Van Nisteelrooy isn't really adding up to me because these guys were never appointed as coaches in Manchester United, they were only what is called interim coaches. They were only there for the mean time while the club looked for coaches. So I won't count them as Manchester United coaches.

Liverpool played really horrible last night despite the 1-0 win. However this shouldn't be misleading because clearly Arne Slot didn't want to play all his cards. 

In two days, I'm confident that we will watch a completely different Liverpool. A much stronger one. Southampton is a really weak opponent and they will probably hope for not losing with another historical score.    The season is already theoretically over in terms of championship but still nothing is official yet. Therefore I won't expect any complacency from Liverpool until declaring it officially. Arne Slot already has 2 more years on his contract but this incredible season will secure his seat even more than ever.

Liverpool were nowhere close to their usual performance level we have been witnessing lately in the premier league this season, they looked weak and let PSG do most of the play in the game. PSG dominated the game throughout and Liverpool were only lucky to get a goal which was enough to secure an away win for them but against Southampton I expected a much better result and they delivered by securing all three points to keep their title dream alive and stronger.

Manchester City at may still make it back again because despite the fact that they are bad and not doing good consistently, you see that top 4, they will finish there unless Guardiola isn't the one leading that team, they may not be able to win this season Premeir League but they must have to finished at the top.

At this point, I think Arsenal and Nottingham Forest are just trying to be among the top second and person that will come out third but the first place is gone for good. To be even clear, if we finish the matches in this month of March and April and they don't have any loss or draw, it's finish for the runner teams because they can't meet up with Liverpool at this point, it's not going to work no matter how hard they try, Arsenal and Nottingham will remain, I think only the fourth place will be a concern for any team later makes it later.

This is Nottingham's best season in the Premier League, but I wouldn't really believe they can maintain their good form in the long term. It's always hard to maintain a good performance in a league as competitive as the Premier League, so I wouldn't expect Nottingham to do it. Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool haven't been consistent, let alone Nottingham.

It would be nice if the Champions League spot was always contested by many teams instead of just 4 regular teams, but unfortunately not many Premier League teams are able to maintain their performance. Nottingham certainly has the ambition to qualify for the Champions League next season, but they will have to fight hard to maintain their position now. By the way, Manchester United and Arsenal drew 1-1, so Liverpool are likely to claim the title early this season.
