The way some of users here have been criticising Arsenal in the friendlies, you’d think they love the club more the fans. So tell me why is there so little attention about Arsenal winning the community shield? Or do you guys no longer consider the community should a trophy unless some other team wins it asides Arsenal.

This season will be very interesting and even Arsenal have to be very careful because there are many signs that they have to struggle to maintain their stand, Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United are also in a race to win this trophy, I don't know of Chelsea until I see how they perform when the season begin.

Maybe if Manchester city was with their former coach the critics would have been right. Clearly, that managerial change have affect how Manchester city played, they are now under a new coach and for results to start coming it will also take time. Arsenal was dominant throughout the game yesterday, it not just the score line but the chances they created and how comfortably they played.

Manchester city on the other will need to improve, it really good they played a game like this, is showed them that they are not really well prepared for the season. We saw how active they have been in the market already about getting Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea since that loss.

The absent of Pep will really have a bad impact on the team because it was clear today that Arsenal is stronger than Manchester City under Maresca.

Arsenal won on a clean sheet and scored three goals. I was surprised because I never expected such a flawless victory. I thought, it's gone be a match of high tension with both teams scoring.

Both teams finished are top two teams of last EPL season and everyone was expecting a tough contest but it ended as a one sided contest. Guardiola Sala is more with Man City after 10 years and his absence is already started to felt following Man City game against Arsenal. Man City was able to win three EPL title in Guardiola Sala 10 years stay with Man City and it will be a huge challenge for Enzo Maresca to fill gap due to departure of Pep.

Lol are you talking about the Manchester United that got their ass whipped by ordinary Milan? had high hope for Manchester United and but they just fucked up and couldn't live up to their expectations. Carrick has done a good job so far with the club, but more needs to be done so they give us the viewer that confidence that they are able for the task ahead.

I have started to be having double mind about Manchester United posing a threat for Arsenal, but I think it is too early and a friendly pre season match isn't a good way to know the quality of a team. Let's the real competition fully commence, but Manchester United still needs to get their shit together.

Logically, if your friend considers the Community Shield a minor competition, then why did City fail to score in such a minor competition? Shouldn’t that be embarrassing for him as a City fan? Meanwhile, their performance at the start of the season already suggests that Maresca still needs a lot of time to develop the right tactics for City. So, when the new season begins, I still believe Arsenal will be the ones to win the league.

It's funny how you've already decided to underrate Man City like they didn't act this cold last season but still managed to win the FA and Carabao cup. For the records, even at their worst level, they scored more goals than any EPL team did and almost overtook the same team you're flattering. They're currently on form and can take on any team, but let's wait for the league to properly begin before driving to conclusions.

The absent of Pep will really have a bad impact on the team because it was clear today that Arsenal is stronger than Manchester City under Maresca.

Of course, Man City under Enzo Maresca won’t be strong right away he needs time, especially since he came to Man City to replace Pep Guardiola who had made Man City successful for 10 years. 

In the match against Arsenal we could see that Man City weakness right now is in the midfield. Man City doesn’t have a creative midfielder, and this makes Maresca strategies not work well. Losing Rodry is of course also a big blow to Man City’s midfield. After this loss, Enzo Maresca needs to push to bring in a creative midfielder because this is where Man City’s weakness really shows.

This is very different from Arsenal. They are getting more solid and even stronger than last season. Arteta is getting better at integrating new players because they play well and it’s clear communication has already been well established. Of course, if their performance can stay consistent like this, it’s not impossible for them to defend the EPL title next season.

From the win against Man City we can see that Arsenal’s play is really good and solid. Players like Lewis are truly special he manages to pressure the opponents successfully. Mosquera also plays with a cool head; of course, he’s a young defender with huge potential for Arsenal because he also plays steadily and confidently. Guimaraes also plays very aggressively, making him a great signing. Odegaard also moves very sharply and is very active in this match, he’s an important player hopefully, he stays injury free.

Even with Guardiola presence it will changes nothing with this Manchester City behavior, the defense is bad and I don't know what Maresca was doing since he became the manager, I'm not sure if he is active or his still enjoying the holiday, he is around but doesn't look active. May be if Guardiola was around, he would have figure out the problem and make sure that the team are upto standard, the midfield and forward players did a lot in that game, it was defense that caused their loss.

There is something Maresca did that annoyed me, he substituted Haaland and I don't know what makes him think that if he sub him, the team would do better or the intention was to create a false 9 because clearly I didn't see the usefulness of the substitution he did with Haaland. The guy is going to create alot of enemies if he thinks the strategy will change. Norway knew him better and they did the same in the world cup and he work for them, he shouldn't change it.

Manchester United has no regrets sacking Reuben amorim because it was in the best interest of the club as they weren't progressing in the table and their ranking in the table were going down so they have to sack him before he lands the them in relegation.

Manchester United made the right decision to sack Amorim. If Manchester United hadn’t made the right move to sack him, I don’t think we would be watching Manchester United playing in the Champions League this season. Amorim wasn’t the right choice for Manchester United with his tactics. Playing three man defence is not going to work in the Premier League, especially when the players are not familiar with the style throughout their careers. Even at his current club, he only had one win in his last four games.

Some people may assume that Manchester United will regret their decision based on the performance they saw from Amorim against them. I don’t think winning one against Manchester United will make Amorim feel special. The season will start next weekend, and I believe we all have a long way to go. It seems you have forgotten alot about arsenal maybe you should re watch some of their matches in the beginning of the previous seasons. Arsenal always play well in the beginning but towards the middle or the ending of the season, they will start playing poorly. I think you shouldn't conclude yet that arsenal will win the league next season. We have not seen how the other clubs performance are yet so we don't know what they are capable of doing.
Manchester city were the underdogs in the match because they have not adapted to maresca pattern of football. It will take some time before they will adapteto maresca pattern as they still have a lot of time, if they adapt fast they will be arsenal strongest contender in the table.

This time, almost every team is desperate to win the trophy. Most of the players are in their best form this year. Since the club season starts right after the World Cup, the players are expected to show their consistent performance. Arsenal have already proven how strong they are going to start the season. They are confident enough because they won the match and they also have good players. I consider Manchester City's loss to be even more fortunate for them. If they perform poorly at the beginning of the new season with a new coach, it would have been difficult for them to move up the points table and manage themselves. Yeah, if not that they sacked that man Manchester United won't have qualify for champions league, who knows he might even relegate to championship with the ways things was going then. Imagine season before last Manchester United 16th positions in Premier league table, had it been they allowed him to finish last season Manchester United would have found themselves in relegation or escaping relegation just like Tottenham did.

Yesterday match against AC milian their performance was ver poor,  amorin that haven't won any of the pre- season matches now beat Manchester United yesterday with aggregate of 2-4. I can't imagine it yesterday that amorim came to old Trafford and beat Manchester United so bad, man utd coach would prove him wrong yesterday but he didn't he allowed amorin beat him at home.

I was unable to watch the entire game, but when I saw the scores, I was impressed by how hard Arsenal had been playing. This indicates that we still have a chance to win the race, and with the signals we are sending, I am confident that they should already be aware of what is in store for them because I want the Champions League in addition to the Premier League. They should be worry of us because we are coming hard, and I am sure that Manchester City fans did not see this coming, and I was so happy because they could not score a single goal, and if we had told them that Arsenal was going to win, they would have argued that for sure. but am happy that they have seen the wonders themselves, and they are yet to see more of that when the season starts.

My personal opinion, I can’t believe what you’re saying, because Arsenal just won a title after so many years, and you’re already feeling like Arsenal is unstoppable, A season is yet to start and you feel the season is going to be easy for Arsenal because Arsenal beat Manchester City in the Community Shield, Arsenal have every tendency to fall apart this season, just like what happened to Liverpool after winning the Premier League and having the best transfer window and they fall apart after making so many changes in the squad that won a Premier League for them, I don’t see Arsenal running away with a Premier League title, they will have to fight for it, Manchester City and Liverpool can run away with a title but not Arsenal, no no, it’s impossible.

Nobody wants Enzo Maresca to fail at Manchester City more than Chelsea fans. Most of them feel that he spoilt their campaign last season because of his quest to take over from Pep Guardiola. That said, we also need to understand that Manchester City fans have been introduced to serial winning. I doubt that they'll want to endure long time of not winning any major trophy. I hope they'll be patient enough with him of he fails to kick the ground running immediately.

It would take some time before enzo marasca can win trophy for manchester city and this is my only fear because looking back to see the performance of manchester city under pep and the trophies he won for manchester city, it makes me feel that there's no coach that can handle manchester city as much as pep does.

I new from the very beginning that Enzo marasca is not the right person for this job, I don't even think of any coach that can handle manchester city very well just like pep does. But let's see how it goes .

So Chelsea are the “bigger boys”? Is it the old players they got on loan that you’re so confident in. Manchester United have a higher chance of winning the title than Chelsea. You better can go through my post history since the preseason games. I never doubted this team. Unfortunately, it’s you crybabies who can’t win trophies that are always trying to tear Arsenal down.

I think no victory in the community shied is easy because arsenal won convincingly by three goals to nil doesn't mean the game was easy for them. However,some of their fans are taunting at Manchester city that they are now weak because guardiola has left and we have not heard a single word since then. It is normal to hype your team as a fan but considering the way Manchester city fell to arsenal in the community shied is a concern and maresca has to do something quick because people are beginning to think that he is not capable to lead city in the premier league. I have not lost my faith in maresca, people shouldn't rush to lose their faith in him too because it is too early for that. Maresca has lost a trophy to a arsenal yes, but he can still win many trophies for them before the end of the season.
