The case with City has been on for long why do you think this will entirely shake the team?
Manchester city case has been on for some time now, and it didn’t affect them, but you should know that they have just been found guilty. The case has been on since, and they were not found guilty during that period, they just found them guilty now which I also feel it’s enough to affect the team, it’s might destabilize the team. We should wait for the club to be back from international break, and see how they are going to perform, nobody is sure if their current case is going to affect them or not.

This time, I think things are looking very bleak for Manchester City. They have been found guilty on 114 out of 115 charges. It’s a staggering number of charges, and they’ll need to mount a strong defence, as they face the risk of very severe sanctions – unprecedented in the Premier League. There is even talk of relegation on the pitch – such a severe points deduction that it will be difficult for them to avoid relegation. It’s practically the same as what happened to Juventus in the ‘Calciopoli’ scandal, but I believe this is even more serious.

You might be right, given the charges covering almost every count, today is the deadline for City to file an appeal, after which we’ll have to wait for the ruling, though I don't expect any major changes to the case. It’s quite possible this will have a negative impact on the players, especially with matches against Liverpool and then PSG in the Champions League coming up.

My major concern is how demoralized the players would be. A team that started with full competitive force at the beginning of the season, and now, they are hit with the blow of there past, and it's hunting them. The thoughts alone can be a problem and a major set back for them as they enter into there fort coming matches.

I dotm know is I should feel sorry for them or not. But somehow, they went too far, and deserves a punishment, a serious one at that. But let's see how it goes and what they would finally get as judgement

Its indeed a bad season for Manchester city not in performance but this ongoing court case that has 80 percent chances of victory against them,  though such situations usually makes players lose motivation or momentum because they know all effort may be equal to zero at last  that is if they do not win in the appeal.
Let’s assume City lose their appeal and receive a points deduction. Would that alone really destroy the motivation of all their players? City have a squad full of high quality players who are unlikely to simply give up because of a situation like this. Besides, it is still early in the season, so the players should remain motivated to fight for the points they have lost.

Quote
On this old allocations to Manchester city and Liverpool,  I think there is a mistake,  we all know this will destabilise players plans and make them lose consistency because they know where they will find themselves at the end,  so it would have been given in response to players mindset and not on previous performance.
If this is really about the players’ mindset rather than their previous performances, then I believe City will actually win the upcoming match. They need to keep fighting and collect as many points as possible before any points deduction is imposed.

Anything meted to Man City at this point is what they deserve, as they brought it upon themselves. I wonder why it's difficult to play by the financial rules.

Frankly, the players could easily ignore the case when it was just a rumor, but getting hit with an actual guilty verdict by the independent commission will affect them, and people might begin to notice it after the international football break b cause none of the possible punishments are convenient. However, the most likely of them is 40-60 points reduction + a hefty fine. So, if this is not well-fought by the players on the pitch, they could delegate this season. A very good reason for them to be concerned.

Imagine that the deduction of point is capable of relegating Manchester city? can you even sit down to imagine that the likes of Erling halland will not be playing in the premier league in the next season just because he is in a relegated club? no major hit like this leaves a club the same way and for players that are fighting to take back the premier league title from arsenal now seeing that whatever effort they are able to put up will just be used to clear a mess that has been done by the club, that is a lot on them.

Who would be in this pressure and won't be affected? It's definitely gonna affect the players that's why I has predicted Liverpool winning right from time, so in this game there's no double thoughts about it, it's definitely a straight winning for Liverpool despite what, after all even before this case each time they face each others, it has always been a do or die affair within their two, talk more of now Manchester city is shaking, I don't know for others but to me it's a win for Liverpool no matter the odd given.
Despite the fact that Liverpool performances are not as impressive in the Premier League since last season, and your still have confidence that their upcoming match against Manchester City will be a straight winning for Liverpool. I don’t agree with your points yet until the match day, football is unpredictable that’s is very difficult to predict especially when strong teams are facing each, now that Liverpool performances is not enough for most people this season because of how their performances being wasted last season. We can see what will be their outcome in next 10ths days.

Football is unpredictable, but most of the time we see the stronger team winning and it is very rare to see a team winning unexpectedly. I will definitely put Manchester City ahead in this match, if this match was at Manchester City's home ground then I would definitely bet on Manchester City in this match. Since the match is at Liverpool's home ground, there is some uncertainty. At the moment City will never want to lose points because at the moment they will want to gain as many points as possible and move forward because their biggest opponent Arsenal is currently in the middle of an injury problem. Hopefully the result of the match will be City 2 - 1 Liverpool.

I find it tough to decide what option i think would be the outcome of this match, it’s very true that Manchester City has the best form and won't want to drop points so they'll continue toping the league but Liverpool is also in a good form too, they might not be as good as Manchester City's but they're yet to lose an match and won't want their first lose to be at home.

So, you see why i said  it's a tough match for me to decide. Liverpool would have the home advantage which is a big motivation to win while City would be motivated by their current form, i feel it could be draw match.

Liverpool should have a lot to worry about on this game, looking at the fact that they’ve got some of the very best players to have helped them team this season out on injury like, Gakpo and Isak, coupled with the fact that Ekitike isn’t back. This gives Barcola a chance to show Liverpool what he’s truly capable of.

Manchester City is still very much of a loaded gun with a forward that would make Liverpool’s defense work. I don’t see how Liverpool can get anything other than a draw for themselves in this if they are lucky.

For Man City the current match will not have much impact on their performance even if it is played at any venue. Enzo Maresca knows very well how to play against Liverpool and win the match. But if his strategy does not work, then there is a possibility of a draw or Man City may lose the match. Every possibility is there. I think the match will be a draw. This season Liverpool have won 2 out of 5 matches and drawn 3 matches against their opponents. Interestingly, Liverpool are yet to lose this season.

I have not yet reached any decision in terms of betting but there is a possibility of a draw. But Man City will not want to lose any points at this moment because they are already at the top of the points table and have increased the point gap compared to Arsenal, the team will want to maintain the winning streak with Liverpool.

This obviously even more serious than Juve's scandal. I read some news say that UEA is also backing City, and try to make intervention in this case. So the case is gonna have a terrible output not only for City, but for both of sides. This is no longer about EPL vs City, but it's about EPL vs UEA.

It's no longer about giving a sanction to the City then everything is clear because UEA is threatening UK to pull off all of their money, which may be affecting all of sectors get funded by it.

It's may be the reason why EPL takes years just to reach this point. It's all because it's very complicated.

On par with Mbappe probably but I'd be willing to agree Haaland edges a little still.

Although English Premier League is probably the toughest league for a striker though so theoretically one could say that until we see Mbappe play in it, or Haaland play in La Liga, we can't really draw a fair comparison.
Saying Erling Haaland is better than Kylian Mbappe because he has shown so much excellency in the EPL is quite ironic, while the EPL is tougher doesn't mean players in other leagues are lesser than those in the EPL, Mbappe has shown so much world class since he was 18 and somehow the same for Haaland but we all can see even in these stages there have been differences and Mbappe is spectacular.

I mean I can't recall anybody who was the best striker of EPL and who then failed in another league while still being in his prime. However, I can name at least a few who were top strikers of other top leagues yet couldn't show anything in the EPL.

Thus, I have zero doubts Haaland would be a top strikers in any league of the world, but I cannot be Mbappe would still be one in England. He probably would, but there's no guarantee.
Mbappe is not a striker, his a wingman. There are players who play this role excellently in the EPL but also failed at other leagues same thing with other top players from other leagues as well, what you said is not only peculiar to one league but happens everywhere. World class players always perform anywhere they go, I'm surprised that you looked down on Mbappe, someone that can play in any club any league, any condition and will deliver for his team. Mbappe that kept the same performance from Monaco, moved to PSG continued his at Real Madrid doing it, what makes you think he won't do the same in the EPL

A very good reason for them to be concerned.
I agree, whatever ever punishment given to them they should accept it that way, financial fair play rule was made for a reason so that clubs with big owners doesn't dip hands into their personal pockets to purchase players. It used to happen back in the days and a perfect example was the ex Chelsea owner, he usually signs players that he wanted all by himself and from his pocket. The saw this method was going to ruin football that's why they invented the rule of financial fair play where clubs will spend what they make. Manchester City deserves to be punished as found guilty of 114 charges.

This case of Manchester city and premier League is going to reveal many things that happens in the premier league and it will make the entire football world to see several things that happen behind the scenes. Everyone knows what Manchester city sanctions should be. During the Juventus Saga, it was very clear and the sanctions were given. The premier league is even under pressure including loosing revenues when Manchester city gets relegated. It's not going to be very easy decision because even UK won't like to loose their partnership with the United Arab Emirates and if the sanctions are not given, it will be known as one of the worst corruption in the football world. But the right thing would be issuing the charge, if UAE withdraws their investment, the league will build up again but it will help preserve the reputation.

I have heard many people talking about deducting 40-60 points. Since this is not a definite punishment now, let's see what happens. However, it is now certain that the Independent Commission has found City guilty of serious financial violations. But the sporting sanction will still be decided in a separate hearing. I heard that the same idea of deducting 40-50 points you mentioned came from the estimates of football finance experts. The important thing we may be avoiding is the appeal. As far as I heard, the deadline for Manchester City's appeal is 2 October, and if it is appealed, it may take several months to get the final outcome.

It’s practically the same as what happened to Juventus in the ‘Calciopoli’ scandal, but I believe this is even more serious.

Manchester City have appealed for the case and we don’t know what will be the outcome of the case, but since premier league have found Manchester City guilty of those 15 charges, it is going to be very difficult for Manchester City to get away without being punished, especially when the premier league are involved in the case and want Manchester City to be relegated and strip off their titles they won those years. Many premier league clubs are serious about the case, which is why city will never go unpunished.

Manchester City is a big club in the league, collecting trophies from them and sending them to championship is going to make the league look boring and lose some big taxes the league is earning from them, from the look of the case, Manchester City will only be asked to pay a sum of money and the case will be closed.

Are you aware of how much will be lost if Manchester City goes into relegation, the Premier League is a business, they can't afford to penalize Manchester City in a way that they will go down into relegation. The punishment will be heavy, so City will lose their aim for the title, but it won't result in Manchester City no longer playing in the Premier League, it is a matter of disagree to agree, in the end, punishment will be given, but not severe in the way most people expect.

Man City is guilty of breaching Premier League financial rules between 2009/10 and 2017/18 and latest news is that Man City has lodged appeal against the financial misconduct they were found guilty of. This is very serious matter and it looks difficult that Man City will be able to avoid  strict punishment unless they do some solid defence not on football pitch but in the court of justice. This issue will defiantly have negative impact on players that may also result in losing the top position on points table.

This case is going to be have big impact on soccer and Premier League in coming days just because of this English PM Burnham is also concerned about its verdict because this will surely hit hard to revenue and many other things related to soccer in England. While big investments by many Arabs are also going to be facing issues because they will surely never be like this, corruption is surely needed to be handled with strict hands because it's always widening the gap between quality and skills, which is also hurting the beauty of soccer.

In the last few years, things are going on at a worst level in the last few years just because a few are able to spend enough funds for their own interest, and clubs that are not having enough sources are always facing dilemmas due to these investments.

Actually, playing at home or away doesn’t really have a big impact in every big match, especially since Man City also has a strong mentality. Just look at derby matches or other big games sometimes the home team still ends up losing, especially when both teams are determined to win to strengthen their position in the standings.

But after seeing the negative issues surrounding Man City right now regarding sanctions or other matters, I’m pretty sure Liverpool will win this match. The issues Man City is facing can’t be taken lightly because if it’s true that they’ve committed many violations, they could be removed from the EPL, and that would definitely affect their future performance. Besides, Liverpool isn’t looking bad either they’ve only drawn 3 out of their last 5 matches, so this will be a good advantage when facing a Man City team that’s currently dealing with problems.

If a heavy points deduction is applied and they're relegated, Manchester City would be reduced to nothing because they'll lose 90% of their players as well and it'll be a very hot market since they have quality players who would be seeking contacts in higher leagues in the next transfer window. Rival clubs would be very happy and active to achieve all their quality players. It might take the team a longer time to regain their balance and fight their way back to premier League since they would start rebuilding with lower grade players that they'll use to equip their squad.  I don't think EPL may want to do that to City. Hopefully, they can be slapped with a heavy fine which they'll gladly pay.
