It looks like today is draw day. 4 games finished as draw. Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham didn't start well. I don't see them in the title race this season. I believe it will be between City and Arsenal again.

Hull City surprised most of the people. Not me though, I expected them to start good and stay in the league this season. They may overachieved in first 4 weeks, it will balance out soon. But they have good players and a manager who knows how to play with what's in his hands despite their modest squad.
I can't wait for there media team to drop a diss video for this there draw over Chelsea, lol.

Concerning this Hull City and there progression this season, it's quite commendable but let's remember that Sunderland had this same type of run last season and they later slacked off, hope it's not the same case for Hull City.

I didn't really see the Chelsea match but I don't think this result affects there chances of competing in for the tittle as Chelsea has been playing better under Xabi

I can't say that these teams mentioned are entirely out  of the league title even if their performance is below expectations especially for Tottenham.

I will add that Hull City seems like the promoted Sunderland of two seasons back or so, who can balance their team and upset big team or possibly steal the win from them but even at that let's see their consistency.

It seems so many EPL clubs are not improving a lot compared to their last season performance. Even some clubs are just facing a huge regress like Liverpool and Chelsea. They're also consistently getting draw, which is making the gap with Arsenal is far bigger.
At this point, i only see City as the only club that may be possible to contest for the trophy. However, i may also rule out their chance to challenge Arsenal if they're also getting pretty bad result in the upcoming game against MU.

Arsenal's outright odds is still moving down continuously. It goes from 2.50 to the 1.78, but can be even lower if City unable to get three points. I'm boutta believe Arsenal take the trophy again.

Hull City surprised most of the people. Not me though, I expected them to start good and stay in the league this season. They may overachieved in first 4 weeks, it will balance out soon. None expected Hull woulda that good with mid tier squad on paper. So it's likely the impact from the proper coach combined with right tactic used by them. They're likely avoiding the relegation zone.
I like they more than Spurs *lol. They're underrated team.

The sea just started and we can't say which team is really on for the title right now, it just about getting points for the now.

they need to bank 35 points as early as possible. That’s a tally that will make staying up a whole lot easier and they’ve already secured 8 of them. but their current skill set looks like it's going to test them over a 38 game season, especially once the top 6 and underdogs like Aston Villa hit their stride and their squads fully settle in. Physicality can only take you so far. technique will ultimately prevail.

their upcoming fixture list is brutal but they have plenty of credit in the bank to drop points. imo the key will be keeping their morale high and not crumbling mentally. yeah i'm definitely keeping an eye on Hull City and i love their local club vibe and that compact, amateur spirit they bring  Smiley
Hull City face tough tests ahead. While their early performances have boosted their confidence, the real challenge in the league is to maintain that level of performance over 38 games. I have seen teams surprise me many times in the beginning but fail to maintain consistency in the end due to tough matches and player fatigue. For Hull City, consistency in their defence, keeping key players fit and getting quality substitutes off the bench will be crucial.

I will not judge them based on their current form. How they handle the pressure against strong teams in the future will be a tough test for them.

i agree. Playing with a bunch of noname players especially in the Premier League is no easy task...
Time will tell where these players stand in terms of raw talent but their athleticism is top notch. i'm not sure how Hull City will fair with their new signings but history has shown us time and again that teamwork beats pure talent. Hull has made teams pay for underestimating them so far.
we will see how they perform once opponents start taking them seriously.

Well  Grin Let’s assume the gap facing Liverpool and Chelsea isn't critical yet, though it certainly looks like it is, and the issue isn't just the points, but the quality of play. But why did you mention Tottenham? They finished in 17th place twice in a row, and now, after four games, they’re sitting there again. Something magical is going on with them, for sure.
I’m not a fan of one team dominating, but I hope United curbs City’s ambitions today. If United doesn't win today, that would mean, say, 5 points from 4 games. That’s a disaster, too.

There are some teams that perform well at the beginning of the tournament but they cannot maintain that good performance. Cape Verde created a big surprise in the last football world cup. The team reached the knockout stage. Talking about the Hull City team, the team defeated Manchester United to gain 3 points and then defeated Coventry team in the next match to gain 3 points but after drawing against Aston Villa and Chelsea, they are in 3rd position with 8 points. Hull City is only creating fear for the big teams and consuming points but will not actually reach a good position in the tournament.

In fact, their goal isn't necessarily to reach the top of the table. Three of the four matches they have played so far were tough fixtures. Aston Villa and Manchester United, in particular, are Champions League sides that performed very well last season. Despite having just been promoted to the league this year, Hull City played very well against them and managed to secure draws against both teams. Three of their four games were against difficult opponents. If they avoid relegation, they will have achieved their goal for the season anyway, because I believe their performance is currently excellent for a team that reached the Premier League via the playoffs.

We all had big dreams about Chelsea and we all thought that Chelsea might do something very good this season, their team is in a very strong position and is gradually improving. But they have to face such situations again and again because of their defensive mistakes. Their performance is completely breaking the expectations of every fan and I myself am surprised that their attacking part and midfield are in such a strong position and yet they are in such a situation.

Yes, the season has just started, it is not possible to say who will win, but in terms of strength and performance, we can definitely keep Arsenal ahead and they have started this season very well

Given Aston Villa's current league standing and the style of football they are playing, I am hopeful that Fenerbahçe can secure points in Birmingham. I watched the highlights of the Nottingham Forest match; it would have been a shame had Forest failed to get a result, as they were the better side in the game. Aston Villa has quickly filled the void left by Emiliano Martinez with Suzuki.
He conceded two goals yesterday, but there was nothing he could have done about them; the young goalkeeper inspires confidence between the posts.
It is also puzzling that a club like PSG didn't sign a goalkeeper like Suzuki.
He is an excellent goalkeeper. If he further develops his footwork, he has the potential to be a top-tier goalkeeper. If he performs well this season, offers will surely come his way next year.
Four weeks of the Premier League season have passed, and Aston Villa has recorded three losses and one draw. They are set to face Tottenham next week, meaning two winless teams will go head-to-head in London.

It's commendable what Hull city has done so far since their last 4 games, telling from the highlights of their match against Chelsea, things was too easy for hull, Chelsea made it much simple for hull city to penetrate their midfield and backline. So, what they've done with Chelsea shouldn't be taken as though they're a strong team, had the blues not equalized the game then it would have been different, had Chelsea gone there with a coordinated defense, hull wouldn't score those two goals.

many EPL clubs are not improving a lot compared to their last season performance.

I prefer to say some clubs have not adapted well but for the problem of improving performance it can happen especially at the moment the season is still very long because we are only at the beginning of the season.

Yesterday 7 matches and there are 4 series including for this big club shows that apart from the EPL competition it is a little more difficult because it is unexpected, some clubs are also still not adapting to the existing schemes and players for their squads.
Interestingly at the moment with the less erratic situation of some big clubs Arsenal still remain solid with their performance and with 4 matches currently they are awake in terms of points and back again they are cleansheet in match 4 matches.

Today we will look at the Manchester derby, it is interesting because looking at the previous statistics it is definitely not easy for both clubs and I am not surprised if this match also ends in a draw.

As it stands now, Hull city are in a great form and believe me any team they meet now in the league will struggle to win if not you’ll end up losing totally. They did it first against Manchester United and people thought oh!! It’s just the first game of the season, they won the next game against Coventry and drew the third against Aston Villa before the current draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Their coach won the manager of the month awards recently and so far they don’t seem to be backing down yet. One thing is it’s not easy playing against a low block team like Hull city, they knew this is the premier league, they just got promoted and they knew they can’t come out to play possession football against most of this premier league big team and the only way they could stand a chance to survive is to play a low block game and it only takes a well organized and technically and mentally balanced team to break such team and win. I believe with time most teams will study their pattern of football and find a solution to beat them.

But why did you mention Tottenham? They finished in 17th place twice in a row, and now, after four games, they’re sitting there again. Something magical is going on with them, for sure.
Tottenham's situation is pathetic. It seems the club is cursed. Grin

After all the money spent in the summer transfer window, the club is still struggling at the bottom. Tottenham has not only failed to win a single match this season but also has not scored a single goal after four matches, which is awful. Di Zerbi is currently under immense pressure, and if the results do not improve in the next couple of matches, he may be sacked.

Really shocked and surprised to see that no one is talking about the match of the week which is Manchester united vs Manchester city, is it because Manchester united have not been doing great lately in the premier league? well, whether they are under performing or not the game is the game of the week because these are two use to be strongest in the premier league and they are rivals and lately Manchester city have been dominating until Michael Carrick came to Manchester united and made a difference, let's see what will happen in today's..., just few minutes to go.

Coventry City has to be the most worst team in the Premier League so far.

Four games played. No single goal scored. Ten goals conceded. Zero point.

I overrated them when they played against Manchester city. City struggled against them and escaped narrowly with just a single goal scored. They are not ready for this league yet. Lampard has a lot to learn and I think they're going back to championship at the end of the season to continue their lesson and probably come back stronger like Hull City.

Arteta is a really good student of Guardiola indeed. I even started to think that Guardiola's heir at Manchester City will be Arteta in the future. For now both managers are concentrated on their own work at their current teams. Guardiola has reached his ultimate goal with Manchester City as well. Therefore I wonder if he will think of going for new adventures in a couple of years the most.

Arteta is doing a really great job with Arsenal these days. The latest season was a serious level of success for Arsenal I think. They even stayed in the title race for a long time. But due to being a young team they couldn't keep their concentration high on last weeks and lost their title chance.

But this is a solid improvement by Arteta that's for certain. I would like to see him being brought to Manchester City when Guardiola leaves.

Arteta has a long way to go as per achievement before he might even be considered to manage Manchester city.
What has he really won since he began his role?

His value will be doubled if Arsenal were to replicate their last seasons performance and even win the league. We know how hard it would be this season considering other teams has strenghtened their squad to avoid lapses.

Arsenal werent in top 4 for a couple or years and since Arteta came to the club he has done big things. He o most won the premier league and gave hope to Arsenal fans finally that they can win a trophy. With the new players that just came in i think they will be in top 4 for sure and maybe even fight for the title again.
The only team that can challenge Arsenal is Manchester City, and from the way that Arsenal is playing no team can stop them, I’m looking at Liverpool there is nothing there, Chelsea we don’t have anything there Chelsea have a bad defense, Liverpool have a bad attack that is yet to click for the manager, so Manchester City looks a more complete team with the manner of players they’ve brought into the team, Manchester City looks a different team from the Pep Guardiola team without Rodri, Pep Guardiola always struggled without Rodri in his team.

They did manage to get promoted to the Premier League, but being able to compete and survive in the Premier League is a different matter. There must have been a lot of evaluation in the first 4 matches of this season because the results were clearly not good. But they probably won't make any major changes. Performance improvements need to be made at least to get better results.
I see that Tottenham also hasn't scored in 4 matches. Although they have collected 2 points from draws, this is not a good start for Tottenham.

Arsenal is playing absolutely great no doubt but that doesn't mean they can defeat all the premier league teams, a time will surely come when they will experience fatigue which am not wishing them but it is a normal thing and it is natural. Don't be surprise Manchester city may not even be the one that will stand against them when the time comes because these teams that is striving now can pick up form later and mind you a change is something that can happen in a matter of seconds.

Another team that surprised everyone after week 4 is Aston Villa, they finished 4th last season but so far they are still looking for their first win of the season. While Hull City performance has been impressive, they haven't lost any game so far and are at third position on points table. With time may be there position on points table change because every club has still 34 more games to play.

Man City and Man United game is in progress and City has a set back as Phil Foden has been shown a red card in 23 minute. This means City has to play the rest of the match with 10 players.
