I don't even think that it will be possible for Manchester United to win Chelsea because they have wasted their best chances in the first half playing goalless. Chelsea have already broken the deadlock on the 50th minutes with a goal from Rogers to put them one goal up and the score line is 1-0. I wonder how Manchester United will be able to equalize this goal and score another. United have already lost this game from my own side.

Are we still talking about that, it is 2:0 already and it is 85 minutes on the play, I do not think there's anything Manchester United will do to upturn the match to their favour except Chelsea want to do rubish and I don't see the possibility of such happening in this match, who knows they might finally show Carrick the exit door after this match, cause it too frustrating that instead of team to be in winning streak, they decide to be in losing streak too bad, Manchester United has failed, this has become a seasonal something,  Carrick is going I know that will be the slogan of Manchester United fans after this match, at least Chelsea didn't mess up as they do in some matches.

At this particular point in time, I think it's high time Micheal Carrick is sacked because the team is going from bad to worse as they plays more game. Although sacking him will not solve all their problem because the quality of the players at the club is not that good enough to compete effectively as it's expected of them, but things will not be this bad if their manager is a quality experience manager that knows what he is doing.

In the first half they were the better team, but in the second half, Chelsea started dominating them which led to the goal and the stupid red card from martinez. Their performance in the second half shows that Micheal Carrick doesn't know how to improve his team after the break, because xabi Alonso spoke to his team and their was a lot of improvement, but in the case of Micheal Carrick, they became worse, so it's high time he has to go, because things will not change like this, unless he is replaced.

Manchester United did had a last moment comeback last year but if we look at them for a few more years, they are an below average team trying not to relegate.
I'm more concerned about the Manchester City being 1-0 behind Brighton in the 74th minute that too in their own home ground. A loss or a draw at the moment would benefit Arsenal and it was also a good chance for Haaland to have more goals than the Manchester United team. They still have time and are attacking enough, I believe they'll at least put a goal and make it to a draw. Brighton has gone into defensive and would make it hard for them.

Actually, that’s a good point pushing me to provide evidence makes for a much better discussion.
In the end a BTTS bet might seem a bit too optimistic for the current Man United side. The red card rendered everything else irrelevant, though. I went with BTTS because I was hoping for some resistance, Lisandro Martínez in this match really shifted the flow of the game.

The first goal scored by Chelsea was impressive, Manchester United players were running around Rodgers as he was strolling through them to score the opening goal for Chelsea. With how Manchester United players were doing on the field the fans still has the audacity to blame the coach, how this Carrick's fault, the players are not playing to expectations. The game was compact the two teams were all attacking each other, creating and wasting chances. Estavao is good player but he needs to pass the ball when needed instead of going for the goal himself. There were situations that a simple pass from him to his teammate will have resulted in a goal, probably that's why the coach is not using him often because of this playing style.

I can't stop repeating, clubs from Manchester, both of them, are managed by utter failures.

The only difference is that United has been on a rough track for a while and City had a nice lucky streak in the beginning of the season because Maresca inherited a well working mechanism set up by Guardiola. Now the mechanism needs an adjustment and Maresca is not skilled enough for that.

The faster they are sacked the faster those great clubs can reclaim their glory.

Its beyond shameful to say the least and I personally think Manchester United's problem is no longer just a coaching issue, I think something serious is surely wrong with the internal management of the club that they may not want to make public. judging from Manchester United's performance towards the end of last season's PL, I remember including them among the likely top contenders for the title this season, it baffles me to see how bad the club has turned out in their performance.

And some thing ive noticed is that whenever a new coach comes on board to manage the team which is usually towards the ending of a season, the team usually performs incredibly very well, making fans to believe in the new coach, but when a new season officially begins, the team will start to under perform, this has happened with almost every coach Manchester united have hired in recent seasons since 2022 I think.

I feel deeply sorry for the situation Michael Carrick finds himself in. Last season, he performed admirably when he stepped in to manage the remaining Premier League matches following Ruben Amorim departure now, however he finds himself cornered by the team dismal form. Yet observing the patterns at Manchester United, it seems the fault does not lie with the manager, but rather with the players with Bruno Fernandes appearing to be the mastermind. In my opinion Bruno Fernandes is highly selfish, and it seems as though he might be conspiring with the rest of the squad to get rid of the manager. The fact that so many great managers have failed there speaks for itself. Personally, I support Michael Carrick remaining at Manchester United.

Do you remember when I mentioned that whenever Stake boosts the odds on a team, the match usually ends in a draw? This time it's Liverpool vs Arsenal, and it makes me feel challenged to test my luck by trying a parlay on several matches with boosted odds. Fingers crossed

The score should have been more and likewise my team could have suffered from defensive lapses if United were not wasteful especially in the first half.

The fact is United could do well because they were still very much stronger and wasn't feeling much burnout like most other teams because they were having fewer games and the season was coming to an end. Also, the league last season was not this competitive, teams have strengthened their squad getting the necessary players or more but that's not the case for United, they stopped signing when they should have signed even more.

Brighton have once again proven that they can be anything but a weak team whenever they face the big boys of the Premier league. I was thinking that Manchester City was going to use this match to revenge the near disgrace Brighton would have given them in their cup meeting but it seems Brighton used this opportunity to tell Manchester that they were lucky to have escaped the match through their win in the penalty shootout.

Officially, Arsenal now have the opportunity to top the league if they can at least get a draw from Liverpool.  I guess Arsenal are the biggest benefactor of the ordeal of Manchester City.

i can’t say the same for maresca. city has suffered only its second loss. they started the season with 7 wins, but have now lost 2 in a row. united on the other hand is in terrible shape. it looks like the end of the road for carrick. there’s no way to justify just 1 win in 9 games. if crystal palace takes points from tottenham, manchester united will finish the week in the relegation zone. in my opinion carrick has completely run out of credit. it’s only a matter of time before he’s fired.

But what happened to them in today's match? In today's match, Manchester City gave more importance and kept their main players in the starting eleven, but their performance was so bad that they could not score any goals. He will understand better why the mangers that exited the club before him left. We can blame him for all we want, but if we are fair with the way the players are playing, we will blame the squad. Please, just look at what these guys were playing today. This team knew there is no way they would win Chelsea, they know but they were very aggressive, and wasn't doing, 4 yellow card when you guys can't defend properly and Lisandro just ruined everything with the red card.

If Manchester United does not sack Carrick, they are going down to relegation, and if they get comfortable in that zone, they will end up like Tottenham how they struggled to avoid relegated. You know what's worse about this their place? I pity who is going to take over the job from him, he has a very difficult job. I doubt if there is anyone that will want to risk his career to take over, coaching this team now is like risking your entire career.

How is Brighton performing so well this season! They are constantly surprising the big teams. No matter how well they perform against other teams, they always look terrible when they face a big team. Brighton deserves more praise than City's criticism, they are really coming out with great strategies to beat the big teams.

We have already talked a lot about Manchester United. I think it is nothing but annoying to demand the dismissal of the manager for the team's improvement, and when a club does not improve even after five manager changes in two seasons, changing the manager is not the right solution.

All this preaching about sacking Carrick is getting too old, even if a new manager comes in now we are still going to be hearing the same things because what Man U needs right now isn't a new manager but good players that can play well with eachother and they don't have that, a complete reshuffle their roaster will do them a lot of good and maybe if they get lucky they might end the next season in the top 10 because even though the season hasn't goon far yet Manchester United won't be climbing much higher anymore.
After they've reshuffled their players they can think about getting a good manager to use said players the right way, after all Carrick was doing well before he came to Man U.

To reiterate, the biggest mistake made by the Manchester United manager was his stubborn refusal to sign quality forwards.

I understand that the way they wasted chances against Chelsea is why they need a finisher. But I would say that before you make a decision like "Carrick not having a quality forward in the team created this situation", at least look at the match statistics.

Manchester United were able to create a lot of chances in the beginning, which made their expected goals 1.09, while Chelsea's was only 0.28. Even Bruno Fernandes, Amad and Bryan Mbeumo had chances to score, but unfortunately no one could take advantage of them. I think the problem may be the lack of finishing and decision-making of the players. Because they had chances but were not scoring.

Manchester United's next two matches are against Aston Villa and Liverpool. Their next two Champions League matches are against Roma and Sporting CP. This certainly means Manchester United are losing both the matches they have in the Champions League and the Premier League. Yes, I remember - and thanks for the great tag, it’s always interesting to test out different theories. Lately, I’ve taken a liking to a theory (or rather, I’ve observed for myself that it actually works) which suggests that when both teams are struggling and both are in desperate need of a win, the result ends up being a draw. And today, the Chelsea vs. United match didn’t work out in that sense. In the Liverpool vs. Arsenal matchup, you can’t exactly say that both teams are struggling, but the game still fits the theory to some extent - let’s see how it plays out! As for today, I’ve already taken a kick to the balls (with City’s defeat)
