What do you think on Marseille's chances to win the Europa League title??    They are the least chance given team together with Atalanta (the odds must be like 21.00).

After having a really bad time period with Gennaro Gattuso for some time he has left his place for Jean-Louis Gasset. The new coach has made a quite positive impact on the players so far. There is a serious improvement in the results and the way they play in the attacking area as well. If we see a surprise winner according to the odds I would expect it to be Marseille.

Frankfurt and Villarreal are some winner examples from the recent years. Why wouldn't we see another different winner this year? I'm favouring Liverpool normally but let's see.

It'll be disrespectful for anyone to think that Marseille doesn't stand any chance of winning the UEFA Europa League competition this season because when it comes to European football, Marseille is one of the most successful clubs among the remaining teams that are still remaining in the competition. Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen are the two clubs that's been tipped by many to win the UEFA Europa League trophy this season and that's because the two teams have been exceptionally impressive this season both in the competition and in their respective leagues while for Marseille, they're not even anywhere in the top four of the French Ligue 1 table. Next month, we'll get to know which teams will progress to the semi finals and that I think will further narrow down which team we should consider as favorites

Atalanta have done their best so that they can be in the quarter-finals but playing against Liverpool is not an easy thing for them so they are not favorites but besides that when a team is without the burden of not being favorites it can actually create a surprise.

Atalanta's performance in Serie A this season is not very good, but what they did in the Europa League was beyond many people's predictions and we should wait to see whether Atalanta can continue this trend when they face Liverpool later, even though it is difficult, the possibility is still there.

Liverpool are the favorites in this tournament, they will try their best to win the trophy. Even though Liverpool doesn't need to underestimate their opponents, Atalanta, even though they are not the favorites, still set high targets and could make things difficult for the Reds. On a serious note, Atalanta is not a big threat to Liverpool who is obviously better that them in all ramifications. Everyone can easily believe that Liverpool will subdue them following their experience in both their local league and international competitions. On the basis of quality of players, Liverpool is still far ahead, so it is convenient to say that Liverpool will win the match. But as it is a competition, it is expected that Atalanta will put up a strong resistance at least if they have to lose, let it be that they gave a good fight and die while fighting. Liverpool might win, but they will not find it easy because at this stage of the competition, anything can happen.

Perhaps Marseille will have a good chance against Benfica, I say this because I did not like the way Benfica played against Rangers, although I expected a more meaningful game from them.

Marseille played very well at home, I don’t remember the last time Villarreal lost by such a score, but in the return match they were very close to winning back, but instead Kloss took that hope away from them in extra time, and on 94 minute scored a goal. The problem is, the quarter-final competition hasn't even been held yet. at least, all teams must go through this match. although in reality, both Liverpool and Leverkusen are the strongest challengers. referring to Marseille, it is true that they are not in the top four of the French League. however, the distance between Lille, who is in 4th place, is not too far apart. which means, Marseille's chance still exists even though the ratio is very thin. well, in fact the last 8 matches will be exciting matches in the final hunt for 4th place in the Ligue 1 standings table. however, because we are discussing the Benfica vs Marsille match, we will just focus on this match.

You're right, and Liverpool's roster is talented. Beating Sparta Prague is one thing, but these Reds play differently in big matches. I dont agree about the Marseille doing a good job thing, for me they are doing a shit work, they strugled so mucha gainst Shaktar and they have a unique good game against Villarreal who took all of us for surprise, but if you see in the second game against Villarreal they were nearby to disaster and the comeback from Villarreal was really close.

Marseille have done a good work so far. Especially after changing their manager they have been on the rise. We are witnessing its reflections in the Europa League as well. Their performance against Villarreal was really impressive especially in the home game. The Benfica matchup might be a little more difficult but I'm still favouring Marseille to advance.

Marseille coach is trying to display some quality performance in this season but it will be difficult for them to end up in first or 2nd position no matter his performance in this season because, Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich will not let them to secure points that will make them to reach the position.

If Marseille make it to the semi finals I don't feel like they will see more than that phase.    Because their quite probable opponent would be Liverpool there and I wouldn't expect Marseille to eliminate Liverpool too. This is indeed surprising, but what Marseille must think about before this season's Europa League match again is how to improve their abilities to be better so that they can win at home to Benfica later. Because a team like Benfica also has to be wary of Marseille, especially in the Europa League this season, so from now on Marseille must be able to get a really good change in performance through several other matches in their own domestic league before they start coming back here again.

For Marseille, the both players I'm fond of are both Kongdobia and the former Chelsea and Arsenal striker Per Emerick Aubameyang. As we all know, he has been in a great form for them this season scoring both in the  League 1 Competition and also in the European Europa League Competition.

I once thought of Genaro Gattuso as the coach, little did I know he has already been sacked and done with the french league one club. I see he has to get over with coaching for now.
