Last night, Qarabag lost 3-2 to against Leverkusen with last minute goals and was eliminated from the cup. Qarabag struggle very well yesterday. But the fairy tale is over for Qarabag. If it wasn't for the referee's red card decision, it might have been the biggest surprise of the week.

Fairly entertaining draw with Roma facing their country counterparts in AC Milan and Liverpool playing against another attacking team of Atalanta. The only German team(Leverkusen) left in the competition face West Ham. Benfica and Marseille will have their country hopes being the only team remaining from their respective countries.

Despite the fact that the games with Karabakh turned out to be difficult, I have the feeling that Bayer is already in the semi-finals. West Ham are having a bad season (even though they started very brightly) and have a negative goal difference in the Premier League. I don't think they can compete with Bayer.
Like last season, Italian clubs are performing well and at least one will be in the semi-finals. It’s a pity that we will see one Italian club knocking out another. After all, these are international competitions and I would like to see more “fresh” confrontations.

Qarabag scored a goal after the red card and they were able to maintain some rhythm until the end but they failed especially at the latest minutes and they paid for it. Bayer Leverkusen are way better and expected to play finals along with Liverpool which literally humiliated Sparta Praha with 11 goals on aggregate.
Liverpool will play vs Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen will face West Ham United. I expect both Liverpool and Leverkusen to pass without difficulties.

Don't blame with other potential quarter final match between AS Roma vs Milan, both team had much experienced with their participants in European competition, I think one of both teams have chance for defeating Liverpool if ability face in the semifinal round.

It was a very impressive win for the Bayer Leverkusen squad, because when Qarabag were down to 10 player but were able to score the second goal the camera was on Xabi Alonso's face and he looked quite frustrated at what was happening and to be honest I thought that this would be the game where Bayer Leverkusen's unbeaten record would be broken, but yes the patience and strong motivation of the players was able to turn a difficult situation into a very impressive victory, and so far the top teams have successfully advanced to the quarter-finals, Liverpool who played very well by scoring six goals and an aggregate goal of 11-2, and this is the biggest.

However, what was most surprising was how Rangers actually failed in the second match, they failed to catch up with just 1 goal behind Benfica, this match was quite balanced but unfortunately the hosts failed to maximize all opportunities and Benfica was lucky enough to score a goal which decided them into the quarter-finals.

Bayer Leverkusen's last UEL round of 16 game was played and the results were very impressive. We saw the two big teams in the competition strive to make a good game. Although for Qarabag, yes they were very much competitive as in the first leg and they did their best to hold Leverkusen to a draw but this was not a justification to their qualification unto the next phase. Big ups to them still that they were able to perform unpredictably well last night. They did better in the first two goals in the first leg game and they definitely used their host advantage very well.

 Bayer Leverkusen also did better in the second leg adding that they were the host and i believe they wouldn't want to tarnish their records so far this season, so I was very much  confident in their ability to score enough and secure the next phase ticket when they took on Qarabag in Germany.  Liverpool themselves proved their worth, class and relevance by going hard to win with enough goal margins against the first placed Sparta Praha in the first leg. It was a well deserved win for the English side and certainly a clear ticket to the quarter finals too.

 This only shows how good the English and German side are this season and i must say that they are the two biggest sides this season in the UEL and it'll only be fair that the trophy goes to either of the teams. Liverpool at Anfield didn't have much work to do and Sparta Praha knew the team they were scheduled with and they came to terms with the fact that there's definitely no hope for them. It's safe to say that both Liverpool and Leverkusen are two teams amongst a few that have been able to be consistent in performances in both the domestic league and European games.

I think the luckiest team in the quarter finals is Liverpool. They were matched with an easier opponent than other teams and I think they will be the side that passes the round. Liverpool's draw luck will match them against a tough opponent in the next match, but I can say that it is a comfortable matchup for this tour.

The pairing of Milan and Roma could cause a big surprise. Most say Milan will pass the round, but I think Roma will surprise and pass the round. I think each of these matches will be worth watching and will be quality matches.

There is the possibility of a great final this season that brings together the two favorite teams, but considering the difficulty of Leverkusen beating Qarabag in the second leg yesterday, it makes me doubt they can get to the final this season. Leverkusen was lucky to score 2 goals in injury time when Qarabag lost 1 player due to a red card, but it was something great for them.

I didn't expect Milan to meet a team from the same league in the quarter-finals. It's not that impressive because it wasn't a great match by nature, but maybe the atmosphere would have been different. Here Roma is not the favorite to qualify for the semifinals because Milan is the favorite.

There is only one word that we should say for all Bayern Leverkusen  performance in that match: Fantastic...!
before I had thought that it would be a difficult game, and it turned out that what I thought would happen if like the first leg Bayern Leverkusen had to fall behind a team like Qarabag, now Leverkusen has secured a place in the last 8,  But I think even we should take our hats off to all the struggles of the Qarabag squad that maybe if they hadn't been shown a red card then maybe we would have seen a different result today.

I think that when Bayern Leverkusen has lost 2-0 with an aggregate that is getting wider, it will no longer be possible for Bayern Leverkusen to do so and it will be their first defeat in this match. I'm not very sure about Leverkusen honestly. Especially after seeing how much they had difficulty in eliminating Qarabag it is really not easy to believe that they will eliminate a stronger team like West Ham for now. I'm aware of Leverkusen's unbeaten streak for a long time. But they still need to put a much bigger effort into the matches they are going to play against West Ham to advance.

When it comes to Milan topic we never know. Roma are on the rise recently so I think they have equal chance with Milan.

I wouldn't want to say that Liverpool has got a very easy fixture rather I will be of the opinion that Liverpool stands a better chance of winning than their opponent because they have got a bet form and team depth than their opponent, this is because football can come with so many uncertainties and teams you taught would win can later disappoint and you will be very surprised to see a form of poor performance that will baffle you.

Keeping an open mind to results of games like this is usually the best reason been that it's a very competitive game and they have gotten to that stage where they have to be careful because every mistake will means exiting the league so it will be better we just see a team as our favourite like Liverpool would be in this game and then allow them do their best and give the kind of results expected of them by the end of the game, other teams tho have what looks like a quiet tough fixture but knowing what's at stake they will all try their best to get to the next stage of the league.

At this point it's very likely Liverpool will be seen at the finals and it will be between Leverkusen and  AC Milan to get to meet Liverpool at the finals and see who will be crowned the Europa champions this season between Liverpool and any of Leverkusen of Milan who gets to the finals but most likely it will be Leverkusen as anticipated by Many and it will be very interesting if both teams meet at the finals.

Undoubtedly, Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen are the best two clubs in the UEFA Europa League competition this season this in terms of consistency and general team performances. When I saw the UEL quarter and semi finals draw today, I was very happy about it because from the way it was drawn, none of the two teams are going to meet each until the final of the competition.
Bayer Leverkusen who's currently leading the German Bundesliga table with 10 points difference ahead of a big European club like Bayern Munich is most people's favourite team to win the competition this season and bookmakers are also backing them to win the Europa League trophy at the end of the season. This season's UEFA Europa League quarter and semi finals promises to be very entertaining because of the quality of teams that'll be participating in it and I can't just wait enough to experience the games

Liverpool had the easier route to the final than the other club and this had proven from how liverpool has always been getting easier opponent compared to the its competitor. This club is always extremely fortunate to have weak opponents which is helpingthe club a lot to go to the final easily. Roma and Milan have met several times in Serie A, and the outcome of this match is easily predicted milan will own the game agianst roma.I have no problem predicting the outcome of this match.

Liverpool has been winning the EFL Cup, and additional trophies will follow as long as the club can maintain an ongoing tempo until the end of the season. Except for Liverpool, each match was extremely difficult to predict.

After viewing the Champions League draws I was somehow excited that I forgot that the Europa League draws will follow almost immediately. When I suddenly became aware of the Europa League draws I had to rush to check if Bayer leverkusen was drawn to play against Liverpool but I was happy when I discovered that it did not happen so. It will be so marvelous to understand that Liverpool could likely meet Bayer Leverkusen in the finals if actually both teams scales through. If this happens it means that we could have an Europa League finals that is even going to be better than the Champions League finals.

I am surprised how some people are underrating Liverpool that they will not win against Bayern Leverkusen if the actually meet in the finals. They have actually forgotten how dangerous they Liverpool team could be and also remember that Liverpool is a Champions League team and not an Europa League team and finally the Liverpool coach is going to leave the club after this season so he must give them a trophy before going.

The draw brought together some tough matches. perhaps the easiest match for Benfica who only meet Marsiele. But my prediction is that Milan, Leverkusen, Liverpool and Benfica will make it to the semifinals.
