It must be really sad and frustrating for Fenerbahçe fans. I mean especially watching their team perform their worst ever Final Four games... I don't really remember them that bad in any earlier Final Four.

Anyway now in the final I just expect Olympiacos to finish the job. Playing in home country is a huge advantage. It's never easy to play in such conditions for other teams there. I don't think Real Madrid will surprise people.

This game was actually worth the word final. Back and forth wins of the quarters (win by 7, lose by 9, win by 6, lose by 11), that's what people that love basketball want to see. Would have been fun if the underdog would have taken the crown but the collapse in the last quarter was just too much. Real shooting a whopping 35 3s is almost NBA like, yet they only made 13 which on this level is not enough.
Also there was quite a gap in free throws between those 2 teams.

Anyway, Olympiakos is the rightful winner I think. They played a great season and deserved to be on top.

Olympiacos was leading 82-80 and throwing the ball in from under their own basket Campazzo presses Walkup and steals the ball cleanly but the referee calls a foul... Walkup makes both free throws to bring the score to 84-80.
On the very next possession while Olympiacos is on offense, I think Feliz presses the Olympiacos players and is just about to force a backcourt violation turnover but the referee calls another foul in favor of Olympiacos. two more free throws and the score becomes 86-80.

Olympiacos may have deserved the championship this year but it must be admitted that decisions like these cast a shadow over the game.

I couldn't watch the match, so I can't comment much on the referees, but considering the Greek team's performance throughout the season, we have to say they deserved the win. I was saddened by Fenerbahçe's elimination, of course, because as a Turkish team, I wanted them to win the cup. However, Olympiacos won the cup, and I congratulate them. It's a disappointing result for Real Madrid, but they can be happy that they became the second best team in Europe.

Actually Real gave much more fight than I expected without having any centers. And almost made Olympiacos to collapse in the end of 4th quarter. What I didn't liked when refs called foul on Campazzo against Walkup. Unfortunately, Euroleague quickly blocked all videos, but for me it's not foul and it's sad that such contraversial call possibly affected game.
In general, Oly was best team throughout the season and finally first see curse is over. Oly is first regular season winner who won Euroleague.

at the start of the season, i was worried that Fenerbahçe Beko’s roster lacked the depth to win back to back championships but then the team built up some great momentum.  but against Olympiacos, the gap in squad quality between the two teams was painfully obvious...

Maybe it's a mentality thing. Somehow, also in football, I have a feeling that like hispanic team are dealing worse with defeat that any other. Maybe it be Argentina in football or whatever, they also blame others, play on time, use dirty tactics and what not. And once they feel any hint of "conspiracy" against them they start crying and complaining like the world has turned against them, it's actually hilarious.

Yes, Real Madrid has recently become a club where for all important defeats, regardless of whether we are talking about football or basketball, someone else is always blamed, usually the referees, and never the opponent because they were better on the sports field.
This is a very unsportsmanlike and arrogant attitude, which damages the club's reputation in the public.
In my opinion, Olympiacos deservedly won in an uncertain and tense match and Real would show its greatness to congratulate the opponent on the victory and not to look for the blame in the referees or some conspiracy against them.

They probably made this decision because the Euroleague's budget is very high.

If they had participated, they would have been a very weak team, like Alba Berlin once was.

With both Crvena zvezda and Partizan eliminated in the semi-finals, for the first time in league history, neither Crvena zvezda nor Partizan will reach the final. As far as I remember, these two teams have always been Serbian League champions, but this year was a surprise.

Perhaps the basketball players simply didn't care about winning the league championship. I didn't follow the semi-final matches, but this surprised me.

Just a bad and lazy mindset if you ask me. They didn't achieve anything this year since in the euroleague they well also just participating, seems like they don't care about this title. When you look at the roster that was playing in a do or die game it basically tells everything about this game they lost against FMP.
Well, at least Partizan still has the chance to win the ABA title but since they are playing against Dubai it's also not a given.
